I'm 50% effaced and 2-3 cm as of Thursday. EDD is 11/30 now, and my OB scheduled another growth ultrasound in a week. I feel like a ftm but am not- is this kid of progression normal at 35.5 weeks? I feel like it is but started worrying I may not make it to his due date
Re: Progression at 36 weeks?
But of course no two pregnancies are the same.
Examples: Were you hospitalized at 18 weeks? Are you presently on bed rest? Do you have GD? Does your doctor consider you high risk? Are you AMA? You say you "feel like you are a FTM but are not"...so did you carry your other pregnancy to term? Or did you experience pre-term labor?
Your doctor will be your the greatest resource of other comparable stories. Actually, I would place a bet that your doctor has likely birthed more babies than all D14 members combined.
Continuing on...you are not, "...the only one who has questions after her appt..." but when my doctor talks in terms I am unfamilar with then I ask them what that means. You also would not be the first person to call the doctor office asking for clarification since you have follow up questions.
Further if your doctor has not had an extended discussion with you then perhaps they find you progressing normally or within a normal range.
So as difficult as it maybe at this stange...if your doctor is not concerned try not to get overly worked up. If you remain really concerned please speak to your OB or seek out additional medical help to help talk through the anxiety.
As far as experiences go, I'm a FTM, but I'm learning that I can't compare myself with others, not even family members. I became 1cm dilated at 28 weeks. I'm now 34 weeks and still only 1cm dilated. 6 weeks ago, I freaked out and thought my LO was coming right away, which clearly was not the case. I didn't have to go on bedrest, but heavily increased my water intake and made some changes that helped. I spoke with my sister, who didn't start dilating until 36 weeks and she delivered a week later.
I understand wanting to hear other people's experiences. At the end of the day, speak with your doctor about your own case and see what they say. Good luck to you and keep us posted.
Can someone please insert a WK gif? Or how about "it's not an app" gif...do we have one of those?
Promise. Stop worrying about the numbers and enjoy the last few days of easy parenting.

My first baby, I started dilating and some preterm labor stuff at 32 weeks but made it to 38 weeks and a few days before she was born (and was 5-6 cm dilated at my 38 week appt with no labor!).
This time around, I was 1 cm dilated, 70% effaced at 33 weeks and now it's just a waiting game. Hoping she stays in there till she's healthy enough to be born fully developed!
I guess bottom line is, each of our stories are so different! Hope your story is lovely and you have a beautiful, healthy baby! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
(And I understand how someone could think some of those comments were harsh. "Why would you rely on a bunch of strangers on the internet instead of your doctor?" Seems to me, that she was just curious and was looking for other stories. She's not ignorant, of course she trusts her doctor more than us. If you don't want to give her your story/experience than don't. But also don't belittle her please.)

Thanks for the bingo spot, keep going because I'm up for a good game of bingo today.
Also not kidding about the WK, that's exactly what you are. You should also look up the definition of a bully.
Nice try winning the internet today but you failed.

LOL at the club. I do not remember agreeing to be a part of a club. Do we have to have a secret handshake, cuz I don't remember learning one if we do.
