    Your pitties are beautiful!  Once DH and I are ready to get another one (we swore to each other a long time ago that we would ALWAYS have a pit) we're going to try and get a blue or a reverse brindle blue.  Actually know a breeder here in KC that breeds blues and they are amazing... but I can't stand the idea of buying one.  Don't shop... adopt!!

    Thanks! I used to walk her on the leash regularly before my son was born; DH and I would walk together with the dog and cat in the mornings before work. After DS was born, I stayed home and Nelly got out of practice of walking. I started taking her in the stroller (she liked that and I liked it because she was kind of slow on the leash) when I would walk with DS but she stopped liking that all of a sudden. Now, I just put the leash on her and put her in the yard on a long lead line. I don't trust her with the cars in the neighborhood so I don't want to let her roam free. She LOVES being outside and is always clamoring to be out there.

  • Here's my babies! On the left is Fiona, she's a mix of terrier something. She's spunky, feisty and runs the house!! On the right is Dingo! He's a pit mix. He's a ditzy dog if I've ever seen one! Literally runs into walls from time to time. He's wonderful. They are both major cuddlers! And I love it! They get along most of them time. As long as Dingo remembers that it's Fiona's house, we just all live in it. ;)

    Wow - a leashed AND strollered cat. I am not sure whether I am totally impressed or freaked out. She must not be sure whether she is a cat, a dog or a baby.

    Then again, my Nellie has identity issues too. Ha.These animals, I tell you...

    I didn't realize your dog was named Nellie too! How cute! The first time my Nelly rode in the stroller was a complete accident on my part. I didn't realize she was in the little pouch under the seat until 20 minutes into my walk and she all of a sudden jumped out of the stroller! Crazy animals.

  • :::lurking because I don't have a furbaby:::

    You are all making me want to get a pet!!
    Haha! You're welcome to babysit my little attention whores anytime! ;)
    Gladly!
    I actually love animals, but after my cat passed away a few years ago from cancer, I never got a new one and then got too busy to care for one. Hopefully once baby #3 arrives, I can get a pet for all the kids (and myself) to enjoy. :)
    I'm sorry to hear about your kitty. My childhood cat got diabetes in her old age and it was so terrible to see them go out like that. :(  Has your son been asking for a pet? He seems like the age to start asking and "swearing" he'll take care of it! ;)
    Thank you. I had that kitty for 12 years, so it wasn't easy on me. I miss him all the time.
    Yes-- my son is asking for a pet. Specifically-- a cat or a hamster. I think I would be more apt to get a cat. ;)
