The nursery is finally done! Except for the glider, which will go in the corner next to the dresser but is downstairs for now cause I figure I'll probably be nursing downstairs and in bed most of the time at first. We're team green and live in a wooded area and I'm so happy that we were able to bring that into the room :-) I feel like I need to put some more décor on the walls, but will wait til we know whether it's a boy or a girl first.
TTC since Sept 2011, Unexplained IF Oct 12 - Jan 14: 3 clomid/TI cycles, 2 hysteroscopies, 2 IUIs, 1 BFP (MMC @ 12w), 2 more IUIs Feb 14: Gonal-f + IUI #5 = BFP! (EDD 11/4/14) Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!
Almost done with the nursery! The changing pad should be here this week, and we'll get the rest of the wall hangings this weekend. The pictures aren't great, since some of them were taken after it was dark out. I just love the little pirate theme! (excuse the foil on the crib - we're training the cat to be scared of the crib...and it's working!)
Here's our pic after coming home from the baby shower! All we have left is a couple wall hangings, closet storage, and a the glider! The rocking chair will likely come out to the living room with the glider in its place until our little man is big enough to use it.
Not done yet, but I would say 80% there. Just ordered the wall decals for above the crib and we need to get a changing pad and I think I want something over the changing table, not sure what yet. Maybe frame some pages from the book. And we need a little table and lamp next to the rocking chair. The lamps in there now will come out when my husband gets the ceiling light installed.
Finally have the nursery done...it's so weird, I find myself walking by and peeking in all the time in disbelief still that I'm having this kid LOL. We were going for a "Canadiana" theme...
@Curlyfries851 - OMG - that is so cute. Loving all the attention to details like the vintage snow shoes and the map.
Thanks @JustJainey! The details are partly why it has taken me so long to finish lol...I have been collecting random things here and there for ages. It's weird to finally see it all together.

Love, love, love your closet space!
Thanks! The previous owners installed a cold air return duct in the not quite center of the closet and it was ghastly. My mom designed the closet with our input and my dad built the shelving in front of the duct, the upper shelves with the hanger bars and they bought us the 9 square shelves and boxes that go in them. The closet was their gift to us and the baby. The dresser was my husband's from his childhood.
Love all the baby room pics! I'm 38w4d and put together the nursery just this past week. I wasn't planning to have real furniture (like a crib, changing table, dresser, or rocker/glider), but my MIL's church friend gave us a crib, so we set that up, and I bought a swivel recliner chair from Overstock.com. The walls are seafoam green and the decor is mostly grey, white, with some aqua and pink. The PNP sleep system/bassinet that we got off of our registry is in our bedroom. Almost done. Can't wait. Your nurseries are lovely ladies. Great ideas. I made the pictures and soft wall art myself. I hope my little boy sleeps well in here.
Here's out little girl's nursery, all set up and waiting on her... whenever she decides to show up!!
I think my favorite part of this nursery is the quote above the rocking chair. It's a page my dad actually tore out of a book (blasphemous for him) he'd read a long time ago that he was reminded of when I told him I was pregnant. I should preface it by saying I was born when my parents were in their thirties and am an only child, and my husband and I are both 33 and expecting our first child:
"In the last few years I had been every more uncomfortably aware that one day, somewhere, I would take one last breath and a great iron door would slam shut, leaving me in darkness on the wrong side of the door. But now there was a window in that door. A promise of light. A way to continue."
