@kkleigh10 I messaged my other sister (I have 3) to tell sister #1 to call me. They talk more often and sister #2 is more aggressive than I am. I don't think she is trying to get out of it, but I do think there are money issues that may be influencing her to dodge people. If she would talk to me, we could figure all that out though. I have told her I will rent the chairs (the place is right by my house). My aunt and sister #3 have contacted me, asking if they can help in anyway. Sister #1 could just delegate all the task to others, and it would cost her little to no money. All she has to to do is call and talk to me. She doesn't even have to admit she needs help, money wise. All she would have to do is assign food or a task to other people. SIL said she would do the food. But sister #1 wouldn't know that because she isn't returning any phone calls. It's just making me crazy.
So apparently my blood type is B+ (which I should have known already, but didn't for some reason). B+ is apparently the rarest blood type - only 8% of the population has it. This makes me feel really crappy for not being able to donate blood because of the good it could do. I've tried a dozen+ times, but I never pass their little screening things because of my low iron levels.
Actual AB is the rarest blood type. But then it's B. I am also B+. Go us! I used to donate but then I was told once that my heart rate was too fast. Haven't gone back since.
I burned the crap out of my left hand last night while draining the scalding hot water off of spaghetti. It's killing me today! Burn cream doesn't even help
I slept horribly, too. My hips are in a rage, and I've been battling some kind of funk the last few days.
DD, however, who is still not a consistent sleeper in her own bed, insisted on a pallete in the floor under the desk in her room... Ok...why not?
Not a peep. All night. The landscapers even came and mowed this morning right outside her window. Nothing! It's 10:15 and she's still sleeping.... This is the same kid who is up and at 'em if the floor creaks on my way to the bathroom.
Not complaining, I'm glad she's getting some good sleep. But damn. Why couldn't it be a night where I could, too?
I went to sweet tomatoes for lunch yesterday. They had a delicious pumpkin cobbler that I woke up thinking about. Seriously considering going back again today =P~

I was told B+ is the most "powerful" in terms of it's uses. Maybe the nurse that told me that was full of it.. lol
@kefttsc I'm dealing with a similar situation and have no idea what to do either.
DH's grandfather has been in the ICU for almost 2 weeks now and doesn't seem to be making any progress, not getting better but not really getting worse either. Well DH's aunts are the ones that were planning on having me a shower on Nov. 15th. There's no telling what will happen in the next three weeks but my MIL has already mentioned postponing the shower. I have 3 other showers scheduled for January bc nobody wants to do one in December. Which already has me a little anxious, with my due date being Feb. 6th.
Would it be selfish of me to push to go ahead with the shower? I don't really have anyone traveling to come to it, so if we had to cancel last minute it wouldn't be that hard to let people know.
Last night I noticed I had developed cankles and had a mini meltdown. I just got in from my 6 month OB appt. And apparently I have an enlarged uterus measuring closer to 32weeks than 26wks. This could be caused by a number of things, simply just the way my body is processing the pregnancy, or the baby is big, or could be from uterine fibroids, possibly but highly unlikely that there is a mystery twin, or maybe a symptom of uterine or cervical cancer. Like how do you go from "this could be normal or this could kill you" in the same sentence.
Doc wants to keep an eye on things, and have a thorough scan at my growth ultrasound at 28wks.
So other than that, Im having a pretty good day.

She's full of it lol. O is probably the most "powerful" because it's the universal donor. I am a clinical lab scientist (I do not work in blood bank at the moment) but a lot of people get confused with who can donate to whom and who can receive. It's tricky when thinking about antigens and antibodies. Sorry, went into science mode.

@jaztastic hopefully it's no big deal! So you have to wait until 28 weeks to find out?
Im not freaking out or anything. There is always that random reason that they have to disclose that pretty much has death written all over it. Due to my medical history Im used to that. The baby was measuring big at my last ultrasound so its probably that, plus combined with the fact that I did have uterine fibroids. There is nothing that can be done about it, nothing is wrong with the baby and Im not getting in pain or anything. So its just something that is what it is I guess? I had my growth US at 28wks already scheduled, and since thats only 2wks away, they didnt the need to schedule another one before then.

Today sucks. A woke up an hour before she usually does and is bringing a whole new meaning to "clingy"....she literally has to be holding on to me at all time or she starts crying. She is currently holding onto my sweater/trying to climb my boob-mountain.
Because she woke up earlier than normal we got to see H before he left for work which is usually great but this morning not so much. Every thing he was doing was annoying me and he gave me shit about leaving the pantry door open (??) last night not 2 minutes after I woke up. Then when he went to leave he goes "Well....this sucked" and left without giving me a kiss or anything.
We are going to a Halloween play date this morning so hopefully seeing a bunch of toddlers dressed up turns my day around.

------ I don't know about B but my husband is O- and they're constantly calling and emailing him to give more blood. I just have regular old A+ and they never contact me.
Same with my husband who is O-. He donated blood once and now they always call for his blood.

Anyone wanna open the "open relationship" can of worms? I just found out a friend/acquaintance of mine is in a totally open relationship with her husband of 5 years. I am 100% unable to wrap my head around it, for what I hope the reasoning being that I just totally don't understand it (and not that i'm close-minded)
@Tthgirl in flat you popped in to say hi. It's nice to see that you're doing well and the twins definitely belong on our poll. They'll always count as Feb 15 babies.
@nbad311 Did she tell you? More details! I don't understand open relationships either especially when married. To each their own I guess!
I'm adventurous but not in this way. I can't imagine letting MH sleep with other women. Just no. Yes details!
ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11.
2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do
"shared" program.
Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months.
Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

I've never actually considered it or given it much thought, because it would never work for me...but 5 years?? It must work for them? Communication, trust, and ground rules I assume? We need details!

I don't know much more! I heard from a friend, but have seen her post pro-open marriage things on facebook, but didn't really put two and two together to think she was referring to herself.
@nbad311 To each their own, I try not to judge, but open relationships are definitely NOT for me. I dated a guy in college who wanted to be polyamorous, and I couldn't do it. That ended in disaster.
@tthgirl LOVE YOU LOTS HON... sending you and DH big hugs

She is a super awesome nice person, great sense of humor, and they have no children.
I would think things would get dicey with like, finances and stuff, no? To hell with paying for DH's fancy dinner dates with his other woman!

great to see you
