Fishstick. Story: my DH does this dance called the fish stick, and he was doing it in the room while we were waiting for the dr. Trying to keep my spirits up since I was so sick. Well, low and behold, when we had the ultrasound done the baby was dancing all around. So we named him/her fish stick. Now family and coworkers all ask " how's fish stick today?"
DD is convinced it's a girl (we find out December 4th), and named "her" Julie so that's what we've been calling the baby. So we either have a girl Julie or a boy Julie...
I used to think I was like the mom in Dumbo waiting for my stork (who was obviously drunk and couldn't find the right train) so I figure elephants and peanuts go together!

We don't know if were having a boy or girl yet but we have nicknamed bubs poppy because firstly my hubby gets called poppy instead of papa by the kids so poppy girl (as in she will be her papa's lil girl) also if it's a boy we are naming him after my grandfather who fought in WWII for our freedom and poppies are significant to the Anzac soldiers
We call him Submarine. The day we had our first ultrasound, we were watching a special during Shark Week about a killer shark called Submarine. The baby on the ultrasound image looked just like the shark on the sonar image.
I call the baby "mini-pinks" on my other bmb. We were just calling it "the baby" at home for a while, no nicknames because before it was moving around so much it was easy to just forget I was pregnant. But today he/she was kicking up a storm so I was talking to him/her more, and I found myself calling him/her "mini." So I guess it's mini until we find out its real name in 2 weeks.
Baby M, little one and my students refer to him/her as Mackenzie Mackenzie because I told them we hadn't thought of a girls name and if we couldn't agree on one by the time the baby came and it was a girl we would just call her Mackenzie and our surnames Mackenzie... They thought it was hilarious and now they come in each morning and say "hi Miss Steph, hi Mackenzie Macknezie"
I actually disliked all the usual names you hear people call the 'bun in the oven' so I told my DH that we needed something unique. He kept throwing things at me for a couple weeks and nothing was sticking so finally he decided to do a name mash-up like the celebrities. We settled on Baby Nicim. At least until we find out what we're having!
Attached to my DH since May 2008 (besties since 2005).
My DH calls me his universe. So one day he said "How's my solar system?". I was confused because I'm Universe. It became clear when he kissed my belly. That's how we began calling the baby Solar.
Why? Our last name begins with an A and as a joke, I teased my hubby that we should get his Mom (who does NOT get humor at all and only takes things literally) a grandma necklace w/ charms for all her current grandkids and then tell her the new charm is for 'TBA' ...because I knew she'd spend from Christmas until delivery trying to figure out what the baby's real name was assuming TBA was the initals (I am slighly evil). He thought it was hilarious, (we are not doing this to my poor MiL, again I was just being funny), but the name still stuck.

The family and us call it Pumpkin because one of the pictures we did for an announcement.
Mu Husband and I personally call it Tigger because during the ultrasound to detect downs, etc, it was bouncing around.
