Just wondering what everyone will be having this January!
We have tried to find out three times but baby doesn't cooperate or the cord gets in the way. Leaning towards girl because three lines were spotted a couple times.
You're new on the board, so I'll just give you a heads up. We don't say "gender" here we say "sex". I think there used to be a thread about the sex of our babies, you could try searching it on the page!
Being ignorant of the difference between sex and gender, and the inherent lack of sensitivity towards LGBT issues that that ignorance shows is universally despised on The Bump, just FYI. Contrary to what you're probably thinking, it IS a big deal.

It's really not a big deal. Y'all just like to complain about others that don't agree with you.

It is a big deal. @AggieMom0809, you've previously made your lack of sensitivity or empathy to the LGBT community very clear, so that's probably why you can't understand why it is a big deal.

I wouldn't say it's a lack of sensitivity or empathy anymore than their lack of sensitivity and empathy toward my religion and being heterosexual like we were intended to be. (Hence the compatability of the penis and vagina)

The sex of my baby is male, I am told. I assume, based on pure statistical probability, he'll likely identify as male gender also, but I can't be sure until he's old enough to tell me himself.

No. Disapproving of bigotry (even cloaked with the excuse of religion) is not the same as lacking sensitivity and empathy towards those who face systemic discrimination.
You also don't get to dictate what is right for anyone else. Freedom of religion means YOU are free to believe that YOUR vagina was meant to be matched with a penis, but it does not give you the right to determine what is right or wrong for anyone else's genitalia.

You do realize yours isn't the only religion? Right? So, you have no right to force the "rules" of your belief system on those who are not a member of your religion? Or is that beyond your comprehension?
No it is not and I'm not saying that in the end mine would necessarily turn out to be 100% correct, but my religion is not in the minority on its beliefs of being heterosexual creatures and to stray is immoral.
As I've said in the past. That doesn't mean I don't associate or seamlessly interact with those of other opinions. That's for them to work out with their creator when. They are gone.
@CBLorson I am having a boy! And the women on this site can be brutal just don't take it personal. We are all here to support each other unfortunately it ends up like Mean Girls if you aren't "politically correct". Congrats on your baby and welcome to The Bump!

It's a huge deal when an entire swath of human beings are marginalized, discriminated against, denied their civil rights, and are persecuted, harassed, or even killed by narrow minded, vile bigots such as yourself who cloak their hatred under the guise of religious liberty.
P.S. Why are you still here? I'm pretty certain the overwhelming majority of posters cannot stand you.

This makes zero grammatical or political sense.
The Obama Administration has done absolutely nothing with regards to changing our Constitution, which specifically and clearly stipulates Freedom of Religion and Separation of Church and State.
Not allowing one religion to dictate the rules for everyone else isn't "deciding what each religion could do". Not one church has been forced by the government to recognize same sex relationships. Not one religion has been told that they can't celebrate their faith as they want within the boundaries of their own privately owned property. What has happened is that our government has stopped being a mouth piece for one specific religion and has actually embraced "Separation of Church and State" as was intended by our Founding Fathers (seriously... Turn off Fox News and read the Federalist Papers in their entirety).
Not letting one group push their religion on everyone else isn't discrimination - it's actually the exact opposite. It allows everyone to practice their own faiths freely without undue government influence.
I believe marriage is between two adults who love each other, and that there's no supreme being. Why should there be a system of government that supports your view and not mine? Your church doesn't have to recognize gay marriage, but our government does.

These hateful zealots feel their religion is being persecuted when they're not allowed to discriminate against LGBT. They feel they should be able to be as hateful as they want, and deny public services to anyone they perceive is of the LGBT community. They also feel they should be able to dictate the healthcare their employees receive, and if they can't, it's religious persecution. Because not only should they be free to exert their religious beliefs in their own private lives, they should also be able to force is down the throats of their employees.

I think she's misunderstanding "Freedom of Religion" as "The right to dictate what's right to an entire country based on ones on religion."
Cuz see, here I was thinking it meant our country would be set up so that each faith could practice freely, rather than under the auspices of someone else's faith... Silly me!
Aggiemom IS a narrow minded, vile bigot. I don't consider that "calling names", that's legit feedback to her hateful posts and prejudiced view of society. It's the truth.
To me "name calling" would be calling someone a stupid twat for asking a common sense question or something along those lines.
Not all opinions are equal and valid. Does she have the right to think awful things of the LGBT community without *government* repurcussions like imprisonment? Yes, and that is an important right. Is *society* at large or her employer then obligated to accept her and her opinion, treat it as valid, and be totally accepting of it/her and to retain her as an friend/employee? No freaking way. That is true free speech right there.
