I just got gas for 2.79 a gallon. I'm freaking ecstatic.

NICE!!!  I thought I was doing well at $3.05 a gallon on Saturday.  Paying less than $40 to fill my tank was so nice!
    -------------------------------------

I got it the other day for $2.55. I was too excited.

  • Thank you all for the birthday love!!! I'm just waking back up, and plan on smashing some cinnamon rolls I made from trader joes. If you aren't aware, they are literally THE BEST I've ever had. Ever. But, a donut does sound nice. And the coldstone cake I basically forcefully suggested DH to get me. Can't wait! Hope everyone else's day is going well!!!

And yes, donuts are amazing with sprinkles.
  • Is it weird that I now want to go get gas so I can see what the price is?

  • My beautiful cast!image
That's actually not a bad looking cast! And you matched it to your outfit well :)

    Hope you're feeling ok!!
  • 1. We decided to put DS in daycare as a drop in for a couple of hours a couple of days a week. I'm super excited/nervous -- I know that he loves seeing his friends. I'm thinking I may actually go get a pedicure soon...

    2. What is with all the horizontal striped maternity wear? Not that I would want to wear vertical stripes, but what is up with all the stripes?

    3. Just realized that we'll have to wait until Halloween day to carve our pumpkins so that DH can be involved. If he can make it home on Halloween.

I wonder all the time what is up with the stripes on maternity clothes!

    Oh I have another one.

Anyone else starting to feel REALLY large? It's becoming hard for me to get off the couch or out of bed, put my shoes on, pick stuff up off the floor, etc. I just feel gigantic. 11 more weeks of this?! And it's going to get worse?!
Not REALLY large yet but I can definitely feel it - bending over and getting stuff requires effort.  Turning over in bed requires effort.  I try to explain to DH but he doesn't get it.

Im just worried the pressure from my growing bump will cause me to pass gas at work everytime I bend over.
  • VioletG those are so cute. My DS is just starting to love monsters inc.

    My totally random random?
I wish they would bring back road rules. (I thought of this yesterday on my 2 he drive home from my moms house and passed a pimped out rv)
  • I want one of those 1 lb bags of M&M's except that I will eat them all.  Strange craving.

I just spent the better part of an hour researching formula costs and reviewing websites on breastfeeding and exclusively pumping and exclusively formula feeding.  My head is spinning.

  • @peggels24 just hope and pray you don't have to go on nutramigen or alimentum formulas.  Those ones are DAMN expensive!  Almost twice as much as regullar formulas.  We had to do that for my son... Oh it was hell.
Neither of those would have even worked for my girls....  they both have soy and coconut ingredients. I have heard that the colic/allergy formulas are sooo expensive!!!

BF moms if your kids have allergies/colic, it is waaaay cheaper to cut food out of your diet than to try out these special formulas (which might not even work)! I was on a diet free from dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, and a few other things for a good 2+ years. It's not for everyone, but you get used to it after a month or so.

  • They have coconut in them?  How DID I miss that?  I agree though its cheaper to bf and cut out foods, but I have anxiety that has to be medicated so it wasn't an option.  Plus munchkin had a hard time BFing...

This time I'm hoping not to be medicated for my anxiety.  (I don't think that will happen though.  I'm already wishing for the meds)
Take them if you need them! But here's hoping that at least that you can use regular formula!!!

  • Late Monday random... one of my really good friends at work, was fired today. No one else knows and she's been told to stay on for 30 more days to 'work'. I think that's bullshit and told her so. She deserves the unemployment benefits and wasn't fired for cause.

I ate a snickers bar to self-sooth. I need more.
She should still qualify for unemployment at the end of the 30 days.

If I were her, I'd use those 30 days to job hunt ;-)

I once got fired (they tried to convince me to quit, because it "wasn't a good fit," aka my boss hated me due to some stupid power play about how I was hired, and I told them no way, they'd have to fire me). I was told I could keep working for 2 weeks "as a favor" - I played Monopoly on my computer 70% of the day. My jerk boss tried to tell me I needed to be more productive, and I just tilted my head at her with a smirk and asked, "Why?"
