My shower was fantastic yesterday. Even though it kicked my ass! My feet hurt and I barely have a voice. It was a long day with no breaks, but we got soooooooo many things! I want to start organizing things now, but a lot of stuff is still in my car. I am going to wait for SD and her friend to wake up to help me bring it all in.
DH worked a 12 hour shift yesterday, then drove an hour to come help clean up and load up his truck to haul stuff home. He is amazing. :x
Thank goodness I took tomorrow off of work. Pretty sure it's going to take several days to get everything organized though.

Pregnancy brain is real. And it's scary.

@mander82 so glad you had a great shower! It found it fun to go through everything again and remember who have it to me for Will. I think I was too overwhelmed at the shower to truly look at anything. Have fun
@CatLady22 I'm sorry you're sick. I think being sick while pregnant is pretty much the worst. Why couldn't we have super amazing immune systems while pregnant? That makes more sense to me.
MIL and I are going shopping today and I'm actually looking forward to it. It was supposed to be for my diaper bag, but my SIL surprised me yesterday and bought it for me! She was embarrassed that I had to pack Will's stuff in a reusable bag when I went to the hospital- oops!
After my Ptl scare and bed rest for 3 weeks, I am so excited to have made it to 37 weeks today (even though I want LO to keep baking). It's crazy to think that I went into labor with DS at 37w6d and how close I am to that. Eek!
@sweetbabyrahe PTL scares are the worst! Glad you made it to 37 weeks! Crazy to think you could be holding your LO by next weekend huh? I'm in the exact same boat .. Just a week ahead. Doc didn't think I would make it thru the weekend which was nuts to even hear much less imagine! It's getting really REAL!
@FhSTAR81 mmmmm jello sounds amazing right now!! Was it strawberry or raspberry? my faves!!! Boo to puking it back up though lol Have fun at the pumpkin patch!
Today is the day (gestationally speaking) when I went into labor with DS1! I probably shouldn't celebrate yet since I haven't made it through the day...but it's looking very likely that this kid will cook longer than DS did. I'm SO HAPPY about that! Wheeeeee!!

MIL & I are also going out to pick up a few final baby items! Although I made the mistake yesterday of overdoing it...pumpkin patch, Apple picking, & shopping (literally all day)...so my body seriously hates me right now. Zero sleep and my back wants to break in half. Hopefully the heating pad will give me some relief :-S
I am pretty confident I can make it to 366 weeks, but next week could be when baby comes and I am not ready! So I have the day off and get to spend it cleaning my car and baby clothes and getting a hospital bag packed and groceries bought.
All of this talk of Cinnabon makes me really want a gooey iced cinnamon roll and I can't have one
Has everyone had their showers now? Or do we have a couple ladies left? I am glad that so many had a great time at their showers, even if it didn't turn out as planned.
@WildFlower810, I hope you find a good fit! We finally found a new church home on Easter, and we're happy to be there.
In happy news, my GBS culture came back negative!
I ordered a new refrigerator/freezer so that I have space for breast milk storage! Now I can join in on our freezer meal posts.
We are planting grass today and putting some of our fruit trees in the ground. I'm also going to plant some mums. I'm hoping I'm able to get out and help some outside.

Please tell me no one is actually pregnant for 366 weeks. That sounds terrible.
@sweetbabyrahe - getting close, LB!! So glad LO has been cooking and is all safe and snuggly!
I am about to jump in the shower as today is my Monday. Got about 3 hours of sleep last night so just hoping to make it through the day. Pray for me, guys. Just have to make it till Tuesday...
Good morning ladies!! I'm up early enough that I don't feel overwhelmed by this thread yet!
@mander82 so glad you had a good shower! @Ineedmorecoffee I hope your shower is awesome today! Mine is today as well! We tried using a bottle with Connor yesterday and it went okay so it's daddies job today to feed him while I get to enjoy my shower!
@FhSTAR81 that sounds terrible! I eat strawberry jello whenever I'm nauseous, but it actually makes me feel better! I like to freeze it first.
@shaddox16 I'd feel like I was breaking some sort of law if I stored my urine in the office fridge. That would give me a little rush, is that weird?
@MmmPopcorn I'm so glad you're GBS negative! Yay!!
There was a cold snap overnight so today it's freeeezing but sunny. My favorite kind of day! Unfortunately I have to write a paper. I'm overwhelmed with everything I have to do for school before baby. My goal is to be done by nov. 5. That requires focus...something I don't have a lot of lately.

Haha...yeah htat was a typo. That had to be like 7 years! I can't see what I write onthe mobile app. The letters cover the screen and my phone likes to do it's own thing sometimes.
I hope everyone has a great day today and the ladies that have showers really enjoy them!!!
Today is mine and DH's first anniversary, we have no plans but to relax all day! I just sent DH up to Mcdonalds, I was craving a strawberry milkshake. The first time in 9 months I sent him to get me food!!
Congrats to all of the shower ladies hope it's great. My mom and I have completed our portion of the to do lists at my parents new house. Dad and DH are still working on the electrical panel to get the rest of the house rewired. So her and I get to go finish Aubrey's room. It looked like the photo 2 weeks go. You can now walk into it but I'm wanting it organized and that's my moms specialty.
MIL and I are going shopping today and I'm actually looking forward to it. It was supposed to be for my diaper bag, but my SIL surprised me yesterday and bought it for me! She was embarrassed that I had to pack Will's stuff in a reusable bag when I went to the hospital- oops!
Brilliant plan =D> When I was in college and broke I used to wear my rattiest clothes when visiting my grandma, gauranteed shopping trip lol. I'm pretty sure she thought all my clothes were wretched though... So shopping was probably happening either way. Glad everything went well yesterday and baby Will was just being a stinker!
Happy anniversary @Jpinky9 and I agree with @kyliedaniellexx unisom is the bomb. See that's why I never participate on the random threads when they get 100+ because I want to comment on everything and it becomes overwhelming.. Can't you ladies only bump after 4pm on weekdays? Gawd
@wildflower810...you should check out my church while you're looking. It's broadcast live on the internet so you can watch from the comfort of your couch. www.newspring.cc
Go @aragosta on the pumping!! I'm coming to you for coaching once my LO arrives!!
To those having showers today, have fun and enjoy them!!
@shaddox16...You're such a rebel. It makes me want to do the same because some of my coworkers are aholes. Of course mine wouldn't be medically necessary.
I have a HUGE pile of papers that need to be graded . . . and I don't wanna. I also have not started on my maternity leave plans, which starts on Nov. 3, and I don't wanna write those either. Ugg, I'm just not ready!
Hubby went out for a run so I decided I'd cook and entire package of bacon while he was gone. A friend got us a bacon club subscription for my baby shower (who knows) so I figured why not enjoy it .
We finally went to the movies last night, which was amazing. Downed a whole bag of popcorn and just enjoyed the night.
Today we're off to a street arts festival and then to get pumpkins--yay!
I'm an emotional wreck now and I'm so done being pregnant. Friday is when I hit my wall. Everything hurts, nothing fits and I'm miserable. It didn't help that DH brought home my fav wine.
I wish this baby would hurry up and come. I'm also tired of people saying how small I am or that they think I will go before my due date. YOU KNOW NOTHING!
@aragosta - What great friends and awesome job on the pumping!
Glad to hear the baby showers went well yesterday, and have fun to those who have showers today!
Hugs to everyone that needs a pick me up today!
DH and I are doing the weekend cleaning (and some extra), finishing organizing the few things that need to be done in the nursery (taking apart and putting away the diaper cake etc). I've got my hospital bag packed minus the things I use daily (laptop, makeup, pillow), and DH put the carseat base in my car last night. Time just needs to go by a little faster. I'm losing my motivation for all things, and work is getting harder and harder. Not to mention I'm ready to eat all things sweet once this baby is born (darn GD).
Hope everyone has a great day!

This weather is making me p.i.n.e to go ride my horse. I havent rode since the end of July The day I get cleared from the doc to go ride I will be elated.
I had my breastfeeding class yesterday and it may as well been called "formula is bad". It mostly just talked about the benefits of breastfeeding. There was some fear mongering about formula that I didn't appreciate. The nurse leading it even told a story about how a few years ago there were some cans of formula that had been laced with cocaine and resulted in 3 infant deaths. That's awful but I don't think that was probably the best thing to tell expectant mothers, especially since that's not a normal situation. We all want to breastfeed. Otherwise we would not be in this class. I learned very little about what I was actually supposed to do. She gave us a packet with all that information on it but skimmed over a lot of useful information in class. I feel like I could have just relied on the lactation consultant at the hospital after this one is born and not wasted my money.
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I feel in the third trimester (especially when DH eats my pregnancy food)
My husband picked a seat really close to the front of church today. So I'm sitting there watching my ankles swell, and decide I need to walk around a little to get my blood flowing. As I walk to the back, EVERYONE looks at me, sees the belly, and smirks. I just know they are all thinking, "Haha, pregnant lady has to pee."

Those smirks piss me off! I have one co-irker in particular that likes to say crappy things to me. Yesterday, I went pee and add I was washing my hands I noticed a little skin tag thingy on my neck. So I walked back out of the bathroom, grabbed some gauze and some sterile scissors and went back in and sniped it off (I'm weird, I know). When I came back out, stupid receptionist was snickering about me having to go twice right in a row. I almost punched her.
@MmmPopcorn great minds think alike! I just had my new deep freezer delivered today...so commence the freezer cooking! I'm starting today with cabbage rolls! Mmmm
@hjenni I feel like everyone has stories like this! We need more useful breastfeeding prep classes!
Agreed. I was hoping to learn a lot more about pumping too when I go back to work and that was barely touched on. Also, she talked about how mothers who don't get the skin to skin contact right away will have a hard time bonding with their babies. We all know from the amazing mamas of our superhero babies who had to be rushed to the NICU right away and mamas who have had c-sections that that isn't true! It was just disappointing
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I feel in the third trimester (especially when DH eats my pregnancy food)
SO, my doctor and I came up with a plan that this week will be my last week at work. They've been offering me "the note" for the past two weeks but I've always felt it was too early. Now, I can take this week to clean and organize my classroom slowly and then be done.
They finally found someone to replace me. He's from out of province and can't start until my actual maternity leave date, but they have someone in mind to bridge the gap.
I feel much better knowing that I only have to get through one more week.
@Jpinky9 Happy anniversary! Today is our second anniversary, clearly 10-19 is a great day to be married
Add me to the list of those feeling totally unmotivated. Woke up feeling sick, thank goodness the Hawks are playing early! I just rolled from bed to the couch to watch the game, hopefully I'll feel better by the end and actually get something done!
