I had a nightmare that I was hanging out with friends and we ordered pizza for dinner. It took forever to arrive and I was starving. We called to check on the order and there had been a mistake and it wouldn't arrive for another 40 min. At which point I curled up into a ball and sober because I was so hungry. I woke up with tears streaming down my face. @-)

I woke up sick. DS is not taking pity on me.

eta: I have a headache, body aches, coughing and my stomach hurts after eating. It's either a cold or ebola but I'm pretty sure I have ebola now because that nurse is in Atlanta which 3 hrs from here and I read the article that reported an unnamed scientist had said that ebola is really airborne.

) is it too soon for that to be funny? Is my sense of humor terrible?

So I finally found my courage to break the news of my resignation to my students. My 5yrs old took it quite well except for one kid who bursted out in tears and refused to leave from the class. So we had to call her Mommy in to help. My 2nd graders took it pretty hard. They were quite upset and remained silent for quite some time. After which I was bombarded with questions about the baby-to-be, etc. Anyways I basically had a very emotional day at work today! How I am gonna miss my kiddos

DD starting hitting yesterday (20 months) Like aiming for a full smack across the cheek. When I told her no/not nice/that hurts/etc. she then smacked herself in the head and laughs. Ugh.

At bed time I leaned over to give her a kiss and she hit me so I repeated my thing. After I walked out I was watching her on the monitor hit herself in the head then say ouch and no no no. This cycle went on for two mins.

I'm pretty sure at daycare I saw a kid hitting them self the other day however now I'm not sure if I saw this or dreamed it! Pregnancy dreams are a mind fuck!

Question. Does anyone know, is it normal for cholesterol to increase during pregnancy? I just had mine done in August through my husbands work and I just had it done through my work and it was a decent amount higher! In 2 months??

Really? Interesting. It's right on the line of being in the "normal" range but it was always a fair amount lower. So I guess it's fine. I have an appt next week, maybe I'll ask about it.

Oh I had a brutal dream last night!!

I was on the Skytrain in Vancouver, which was, for some reason, taking us up a bridge (high up over the suspension part of it) and I had Ella with me. Then we all had to get out and step onto a platform and wait for a ride. The railings were really wobbly and I was freaked out having Ella hundreds of feet up in the air so I went to put her back in the Skytrain car and she flailed, and I dropped her and she plummeted the hundreds of feet into the water below. Woke up freaked the fuck out. Still freaks me out just thinking about it. Ugh, fucking brain.

Happy Friday!!

My best guy friend is getting married tomorrow--I'm very excited to attend even though I have no idea what I'm wearing yet.

I'm also nesting hardcore. I got her room painted yesterday and today I'll do touch up and clean everything up. Then I get to put her crib together and get her bedding washed

Everything is slowly coming together!

Tonight is DBF's art show! It's cocktail attire so I get to wear some new heels I've been itching to wear. I'm also fighting the urge to buy this amazing sweater of F21 that's FUZZY AND PURPLE (They also have it in white btw). It's, like, $30 and I don't know if I can bring myself to spend that much on a sweater. Thoughts?

Work is throwing me a shower (even though this is baby #2....they wanted to do it since I didn't work here when I had DD) and they just sent the invites out. I'm just amazed at how sweet my coworkers are for hosting. Makes me all warm and fuzzy

I love being able to wear jeans to work, I used to only wear them on Saturdays (I work 10-2 on Saturdays alone and get Mondays off I love it) but now that I only have two pairs of dresspants that sort of fit I wear my mat jeans as much as possible, so now Friday/sat are the best.

DH was so cute last night. We have this dorky little habit of saying 'Mine' to each other, almost like a replacement for 'I love you' or something similar. So we were in bed, cuddling before going to sleep, and we exchanged 'Mine's. Then he puts his hand on my belly and says, "I was going to say mine, but I guess I have to say Yours since you're keeping her all to yourself." So we joked around about me being so selfish, and how people should lay eggs so we could share.

Did we address the "should I catch myself or bust my ass while pregnant" post in the spam today? Some of you actually went there with a kind heart. I was so confused, is there a rule that you shouldnt try to catch your balance while pregnant? What was the point of that thread?

I felt a load of snark coming on yesterday so I left it alone. I figured I would come ask you guise about it because clearly there is some urban myth about catching your balance Im unaware of.

We were both debating a post telling her that you are supposed to aim straight for your belly button while falling because if you time it right you just bounce right back up... But I kind of felt like an ass since everyone was being nice

There was some TV show on when I was a kid where this (monkey maybe) bounced on his red ass, and one day I decided to try it. I did not bounce. I did really hurt my ass though...I don't know how I made it through childhood.

Yes! I'm obsessed w/ that bedding. I like it bc I can also use stripes & polka dots.. that way its not too many whales everywhere haha. We painted our walls a navy color w/ just a tiny hint of turquoise. Then the closet is a neon green color. It turned out awesome. So our colors are navy, blue, grey, white w/ pops of lime green.

Ikea has some simple grey and white striped curtains for $14/pair!

Guyz I think I found some dirt on my crazy coworker. So I don't know if I told you but his two oldest sons don't talk to him (older than me) or he doesn't talk to them...one of the who. Anyways. I am working on his oldest sons file I keep seeing a mention of a male friend. "friend" is written like this throughout the file, and the "friend" drives the sons vehicle and looks like he lives at the same address.

I think Mr. Preachers son is gay, I mean with that many kids odds are one has to be right?! I so hope he is and he broke himself away from his family because his Dad is a crazy sexist bigot.

I don't know why this news made me so happy.

I busted my ass in the wet parking lot at buy buy baby a few weeks ago and the only thing I hurt was my pride. LMAO. So embarrassing! Babies and I are just fine.
