So like Molly @BananaLettuce‌ ? And I love Leilani too! I went to high school with a girl name Leilani otherwise I would have totally considered it for DD1

I edited my post. I found a page of Hawaiian names. See above. :)

I have a soft spot for Hawaiian names. There is something so sweet and pure about them.

    I'm Hawaiian. It's pronounced mah-LEE-ay. It's really pretty.

Oh man, that's so wrong. The author of that website cannot be Hawaiian.

@kj808‌, do you know if Oliana is a Hawaiian name? I saw it somewhere and thought it was pretty. I think it means Oleander.

At first I thought rhymes with Cali, but then after reading that it's Hawaiian, I thought rhymes with Holly.

Mali in Thai (pronounced like Molly but a longer eee sound) means Jasmine. Just a little unsolicited piece of trivia.

I've heard it used as a name before and yes it does mean oleander.

If you'd like to find out the meanings to Hawaiian words this is a MUCH more reputable source: https://wehewehe.org/

And I love that people are interested in the Hawaiian language and Hawaiian names :)

Another Hawaiian and Hawaii resident, seconding the "mah-LEE-ay" pronunciation. The mah is maybe even closer to "muh".
