Feeling ok, the pelvic pain everyone is describing is the same thing for me. Can hardly walk for long distances, most times I'm just dragging lol

Today is my 2nd yr anniversary but unfortunately my maternity leave has me away from my husband until it's time for the girls to come. I miss him but I know he's working hard at home and we will be together soon.

My belly has been doing some crazy abnormal shifts and movements so I'm pretty much banking that at least one of the girls changed position AGAIN! My appt is later this week so will update at next check in. Curious to see how my cervix is doing as well in terms of cm.

I decided to do a final photo shoot and birthday shoot for my son at JCP tomorrow. Praying it's a smooth process.

Other than that I've been eating and eating and eating so I expect to hear good news from doctor on progress made.

I'm so jelly @erinwithtwins‌ you got some good weight there for your babies but I'm sure you are also suffering worse pelvic pain from the weight. Healthy weight is a good thing tho! Wishing you well

I'm great at decorating, planning events and design and I can fold my tongue in half without using my teeth to hold it down

@lisalynnmama‌ Congratulations!! Glad you're keeping your sense of humor juggling two

@zamboni00 How scary!  Thank goodness you're all ok and you're taking it easy.  Hopefully they're both vertex, that would be a nice surprise!
  • @lisalynnmama - Congratulations! So happy for you!

    @zamboni00 - I'm glad you're OK. That sounded scary.

  • Thanks ladies! It wasn't fun, but I felt better knowing I've made it this far. Every extra day is just icing on the cake at this point.

@absolutelymaybe‌- I feel like I'm in the same boat that you are- I had come to terms with having a c-section, but now the idea of delivering then vaginally is going to be tough to wrap my head around!
  • @zamboni00 - Have you decided what you are going to do if they are vertex? Are you going to try for a vaginal birth or go with the c-section?

  • I would honestly love to try vaginally. In theory ;)

But the idea terrifies me- not just the actual delivery, but the possibility of the dreaded double whammy.

I feel like I will give it a shot, though. It's just funny that I spent 8 months adjusting to the idea of NOT trying for vaginal only to have the game change at this point!
  • @zamboni00 - I hear ya!  I think that's a common fear for a lot of us multiple moms. FWIW, I've heard that the double whammy is pretty rare. Even my doctor said not to be too concerned about it if I try vaginally.

  • @lisalynnmama‌ Congrats! Very exciting! :)

It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!

  • Big congrats to all the mamas with outside babies!!

How are you feeling? What's on your mind? Give us an update!
Well, as I told my OB today...The rainbows and glitter have officially faded. :p It hurts to walk, I can't breathe and I'm feeling like a whale (I skipped telling him all that!). Ugh, I hate sounding so whiny. The good news is that we continue to do well during the NSTs. This Friday will mark four weeks until my RCS and I'm counting down!

Even though I am sooo ready for these babies to be here...I'm freaking out about them being here! My mom is planning to come down for just over two months to help (that in itself could go either way), so I won't be alone while DH is at work. I guess I'm just starting worry about the logistics of two new babies -- spreading my time between them and DS (who is 21 months now). I know it will work out and we'll all adjust. It will actually be nice to have my mom here to help out and spread the love around. :)

Huh. This turned into a nice little vent!

Aside from growing twins, what's your special talent?
Hmmm...I don't play any instruments, I can't sing, no sports, and I don't really do anything crafty. Ha! When I was little, I was into sewing (my grandmother was an amazing seamstress). So even though it counts as crafty, I wasn't that great and my interest waned when I became a teenager. I've always wanted to get back into it (throw pillows or something easy like that). Maybe I will when these kiddos are a little older!

@lisalynnmama Congratulations! ! So excited for you

@zamboni00 that's so scary!!! Glad you are OK and babies are hanging IN there!

  • Happy Thursday Ladies!

I am feeling blah.... Just ready for this pregnancy to be over with. I have so much to do, but between my 5 hospital/doctors visits a week and not being able to breath while moving not to much is getting done.

So my week so far, I get a call first thing Monday morning saying my fluid levels are low for both sacs I need to get to the hospital as soon as I can for fluid checks and NST. As I mentioned last week FI and I found a house and we are in the process of doing all the paperwork and stuff. So Monday we were on a time sensitive deadline to get some paperwork signed and faxed to his union. Totally not expecting a trip to the hosp, so we get there. Babies fluids are checked same numbers as last week. The tech says that the numbers are great. So I am totally confused, like why am I here then??? She then gives me an attitude and says ugh I guess the doctor will have to explain so it makes more sense to you.. Ummm what???? So the doctor comes in and surprise surprise someone put the numbers from last weeks scan in the wrong box???? Like how does that even happen??!!!! So that is what caused all this alarm. But I am like this was last Tuesday, it is now almost a week later. Imagine if the fluid was actually really low. Then I am waiting 2 hours to get the NST finally get in there and babies won't cooperate. So then back to u/s for a BPP which watches the babies for moving and breathing. So we get on the u/s and the tech starts saying OMG baby B isn't moving or breathing. I am like what!!!!! He was 3 hours ago during the fluid check. So I start freaking out. Then he starts moving(thankfully) the tech is like oh good they are fine, you can go.. At this point we have been there 7 hours and have a half hour to make our house deadline. Which we literally sent the paperwork in at exactly the hour it was due. I told my FI at this poking overly more confident delivering in the backyard. I had a DR appt yesterday and my first cervical check not dialated but my cervix is soft. Dr said if baby was head down I could be in labor already :( nothing else really to report. I guess that is enough.

    No special talents here lol

    @lisalynnmama‌ Congratulations!!!!

@tiersa_smith‌ Happy Anniversary a little late!!!!

@zamboni00‌ That is super scary, I a always nervous about falling!! Glad to hear everything ok and you are taking it easy.....
  • @amandakea15 - Wow. I don't even have words for your medical staff. I mean, seriously, that's so frustrating with someone entering in the numbers wrong but to freak you out that Baby B isn't moving or breathing during the NST. Yeah, not cool at all! Sorry you are going through all of that!

  • @Amandakea15 Girl you can't catch a break!  7 hours at the doctor... I can't imagine.  Glad you got the paperwork in on time and the babies are doing well.  Hope this next week is better!
  • @absolutelymaybe‌ We are really starting to get nervous simply for the fact, so many mis-steps have been made. My FI feels they just pull some of this stuff out of thin air. I myself am in the medical field and I have seen some non-favorable things over the years. That is a major reason I am so vigilant in my care. I just feel like a Sally sad sack all the time. I can never have this super great check in. I am hoping once babies come things will be great! @ktibbits1‌ Thank you! We are glad as well, my FI was def getting stressed the longer and longer we got shuffled around. I am hopeful!!! :):)
  • @amandakea15 - I don't think of you as a sally sad sack at all. There's nothing wrong with being vigilant with your care -- ESPECIALLY when they are making errors. You are your (and your babies') biggest advocate! Thankfully, they are almost here!

That's a crappy way to start the week for sure. I'm glad babies are ok, but sorry you have to deal with that.

  • Hi guys. Well I had my doctors visit today and it wasn't quite what I expected.

I had my doctor visit today and although I gained 8 lbs in 2 weeks which was what my doctor was pushing for, I had higher than normal pressure and protein in my urine which is equating to what might be preeclampsia. I don't have any contractions or pain or bleeding.

They admitted me today and have me under 24 hour pressure and urine monitoring. They have also ordered steroids to speed up the babies lung development. He says if the pressure and ruins samples don't improve I'll be in c section surgery as early as tomorrow evening. My girls Lyric and Brooklyn are measuring 4 lbs 12 oz each according to ultrasound and doing well on their activity sheet. Please pray for them and me. I'm feeling very nervous as we are 2 weeks shy of 36 weeks where they call fully developed. Appreciate the prayers. My husband will try to fly out here in the morning. Will keep you guys posted.

  • Wanted to wait until Thursday for my doctor appointment to give my update...

Honestly, not totally a happy camper.

I'm 34 weeks pregnant. I'm at the end of the line here. So, I expect more attention at my doctors visits and more -- for a lack of a better word -- care because, hell, the next time I see him I could very well be having these babies. I'm getting nervous.

So, yesterday they didn't even do a growth scan with the ultrasound (which is the first time as far as I know) and then the doctor tells me judging from my ultrasound AT THE LAST APPOINTMENT Baby A is measuring a pound off from Baby B and he thinks there might be a growth issue. Shouldn't he have known that at the last appointment two weeks ago? Why mention it now? And if he was worried, why didn't he order a growth scan for this appointment? Shouldn't that be something we're monitoring closely at this point?

I kept trying to ask questions as he was rushing us out of the room and I got "Well, they'll be here before Nov. 10th I'd say and if there is a growth problem we might be delivering in the next couple weeks."

He booked me with the other doctor -- the one who I hate and told me that IVF pregnancies have more problems because they're "unnatural" -- next week for a follow up and a growth scan.

Oh, and Baby A flipped back breech so the possible vaginal birth thing is looking less likely.

  • @absolutelymaybe I'm so sorry for your bad experience! I'd be pretty unhappy too with that type of treatment.  I think sometimes doctors don't realize that although they do their thing all day every day, WE don't and there are questions and concerns to be addressed!  I would write down all the questions you have for next week and make it clear that you aren't moving from the table until they're all answered, even if that does mean dealing with her poor bedside manner to get them.  Maybe you can even throw her a little shade at the end like, "Even though my babies aren't 'natural' they're still important to me," or "Since they aren't 'natural' will you have to do some sort of procedure at delivery to make them function like normal humans?" ;) Really though, hoping next week is better and there are no problems!
  • @absolutelymaybe Ugh. I am sorry you have to deal with such a jerk. :( Hang in there. Would it be possible for you to refuse to see the other dr? I had a bad experience with a dr in my docs practice during my last pregnancy and I just refused to see her after that point. But their practice has several docs, I am not sure if yours only has the two?
