I've pretty much given it up. I'm sure there will be a time here and there when I indulge, but for now I'm okay. I'm not a huge caffeine drinker anyway though, but did always have my morning cup of coffee. Now, I'm having Earth Mama Angel Baby Morning Wellness Tea instead.
I pretty much gave it up! I drink water or sometimes sip on ginger ale or sprite. Sometimes though I will splurge a little and get a sweet tea with my meal.
I try to get through without any, but inevitably I need one glass of tea or one shot of espresso. That's keeping it at 75mg or less a day so I think I'm doing pretty good.
I gave it up completely. My doctor said it was okay to have under 200mg, but it has taken us so long to get pregnant that I just felt I had to do everything I could to make this work. Most of my friends still had a little caffeine during their pregnancies though.
Ive tried to cut it back to only 1 or 2 times a week. And even then only half a cup of coffee (or 1/3-1/2 espresso) and drowning it with milk to savor it. Seems to be working so far!
I've been sticking to decaf coffee and diet sprite for coffee or soda cravings... Except for Friday's. Super early, rough day, so I max out my 300mg with real coffee in the morning and afternoon... I drink a lot of water in between, so maybe that helps "dilute" it :P
Like others have said, <200 mg/day is said to be okay. I'm not planning on giving up caffeine. I'll keep it under or close to 200 mg/day, but I just don't see any reason to give coffee up entirely.

I used to drink around 4-5 cups of coffee a day!! I know it was a bit much! about a week before i got my BFP i noticed that I was making my cup but wasn't drinking it all of the time. Recently I went to make a cup in the afternoon because i was just exhausted and I took 2 sips and wanted to throw up. I have no desire to have coffee at all!!
I have a cup a coffee every day, its mostly cream and sugar. I'll also enjoy a glass of sweet tea often. I'm not going crazy and overboard I think everything is ok in moderation
Thank y'all! It makes me feel better. My doctor is obviously a man. Lol my husband and I like to make ourselves a big breakfast on the weekends and so I really wanted to indulge since he's off today and leaving soon-ish on deployment.
Well I got a coffee today from Dutch Bros, drank half, felt guilty and decided to dump the rest and than about 15 minutes later threw up most of it so I am going to just not get anymore coffee or drink anything with caffeine so I don't feel so guilty and to avoid throwing up since that is my least favorite thing to do.
I'm totally addicted to caffeine. I've been cutting it back. I'm down to one drink a day which is great. Doc said less than 200mg. You don't want to shock your system either. If I ja quit cold turkey it would've left me with huge headaches for a week.
I cut it out completely this time, like I did for my first two pregnancies, and those resulted in healthy, full-term babies. For the third and fourth pregnancies, I continued to drink coffee and I miscarried both times. Coincidence or not, I'm not risking it again.
I've cut down to one cup of halfcaf on weekday mornings. I was going to treat myself to a big cup of decaf when I stopped for gas this morning and almost had a meltdown in the store when I realized they didn't have any decaf.

During my first pregnancy I drank about 1 can of Dr Pepper a day (or Coke). I was a pop junkie and tried cutting back. Some days were better than others. It was tough, though!
I gave it up last time and am dying without it now. I am trying not to have any until 12 weeks at least then I will reconsider. The exhaustion and chasing after a toddler is rough!! I think my OB is in the no caffeine camp.
I cut back from my full French press per day (2 mugs) to make it half caff. I see no reason to cut it t completely and bth im surprised drs are still saying that. The 200mg rule has been around for a while now.
I drink a lot of diet coke and it's my life source. BUT when I got my BFP I cut out caffeine conpletely. I've had a loss and it was heartbreaking, so anything I can do to prevent that again I will do!
I've been "living" off of diet caffeine free coke and TONS of ice water, but then again I've been in bed at 8pm almost every night lately!

I cut it out completely. I only had a headache the first day and then after that I was fine! I'm finding that if I commit to getting enough sleep and taking naps, I don't really need it
I stopped with caffeine. If I need a soda, I'll drink rootbeer or orange Fanta. But I've actually been craving water (probably because I didnt drink water pre-pg).

I keep it to <200 mg. I have my coffee in the morning but eliminate it the rest of the day. If I brew my own, I make it pretty weak and have 1 mug. If I go to starbucks, I do half-caf.
