Yeah, our corporate visit went really well! It was just a rough morning for a lot of different reasons. @ckimberley14
it's just dumb because my shift manager is lazy & I practically do his job for him. He was an outside hire & failed the Store manager training program so he was demoted (and actually took MY promotion slot) to a shift supervisor even though he's worked for the company for 1/4 of the time. Also my DM came in today with corporate & told my store manager (whom I love) that she HAD to come in on her day off (when she has worked the last ten days, and just came off of maternity leave) and when my SM told my DM that she had her kids that day, my DM had the audacity to tell her "I don't care". So my SM had to bring in her newborn & her two year old to work with her. HOW FUCKED UP.
Aw. I hope she's just having a bad week. @lizzybean Have you looked into those Amber teething necklaces? I literally know NOTHING about them, but have heard good things.
My spam: we have decided to get the materniT21 test due to the EIF found on our a/s. I'm going to get the blood drawn today for it. I'm so nervous :-S
@dreemkin84 What made you decide to get the extra testing? Did you do earlier screenings? My doctor didn't even suggest any extra testing because of the results of our earlier screenings and the fact that it was an isolated EIF, but I'm wondering if I should for peace of mind. Does your insurance cover the maternit21 due to EIF finding?
Pizza ordered. Domino's has a deal: 5.99 each for a medium pizza, specialty chicken, pasta in a dish, or sandwich, as long as you order at least two. Well, certainly. Pizza and pasta comfort are on their way.
Who else has 3 day weekend coming up? Thank you, God, for federal holidays. Also, on Monday I have my 24 (!!!) week prenatal! It's a little early, but hey! we are close to 24 weeks guys!!!!!!
@lizzybean Sorry! Napless DD is a cranky pants, too. I'm tempted to take them for a car ride just so they'll nap a bit. They're 17 months, and sometimes I wish they were itty bitty again when they'd sleep so easily and well during the day.
@foxslaw Ugh what first-rate jerks!!! Glad the corporate visit went well even though your poor SM had to drag her kids in and on her day off. Hope your workday is over or almost over!
I'm so relieved, and pleasantly surprised! I took our rat, Lady, to the vet today to get her 'tumor' checked out. So the vet decided to do a needle biopsy, and found out it was a hematoma! After being so certain it was a tumor, this is better news than I could have hoped for. The vet drained as much of it as she could and sent us home with some antibiotics to make sure it doesn't turn into an abscess.
Aw. I hope she's just having a bad week. @lizzybean Have you looked into those Amber teething necklaces? I literally know NOTHING about them, but have heard good things.
I had one for her when she was younger but I don't think it helped at all. I think I may give her a teething tablet before bedtime tonight and see if that helps. I really hope she doesn't wake up crying again tonight. It's just an hour after she falls asleep, then she is fine for the rest of the night! So bizarre.

Yes!! And also, at Ella's age people are starting to tell me "well, she can't take naps forever!" Shut your effing face! My kid will take afternoon naps until she goes to kindergarten!! *sigh*
So to work around my doctor appointment today I went into work at 9, left for 3 hours and now I'm back for 5. I have 3 hours left and I'm dragggginnnggggg. Nothing is getting posted on here to keep me occupied, HALP!

Peace of mind for me. My dr office said that with this "diagnosis" and my insurance it SHOULD be covered. At this point though, I would pay anything to know more (I'm freaking out, probably irrationally). You can always get the test and diagnostic codes from your office and call your insurance or they might know already if your insurance will cover it if you are worried.
Eta: fyi my quad screen was good so my dr said not to stress over it but I can't stop googling and worrying.

I'm so glad for you! We just went with a lump on my dog yesterday and it was just a sebaceous cyst! Yay for our fur babies!
I came home to a flower delivery from my mom and dad and a Carter's onesie set from FI and his DD I known my sparkley posts are getting annoying but I just feel so blessed! With our tricky situation I didn't know what kind of family support we'd get so I just am over the moon
Besides, my football playing, fisherman, backpacking, outdoorsy dad only had girls... So there's some extra love behind him right now
Went to pick DH up from work (fuck we need a second car).
He mentioned we had no tomatoes or lettuce for burgers, I had totally spaced, I should've picked them up on our way to get him. I said I really didn't want to stop, Ella was already falling asleep in the backseat, could he run back out after he dropped us at home and get them? He said sure. It's a three minute drive.
Then as we drive past Publix he says are you sure I can't get them now and I say I really want to get Ella home, she needs to eat and go right to bed. She is already asleep in the car seat. Fine. I say it won't take him long to run back out and he says "oh Im not doing that. We'll just have bun and meat." WTF?!?! Cue me flying off the handle. Thanks for telling me this after we are already past the fucking store! Gah maybe I overreacted but seriously. Don't go along with my suggestion and then tell me no after we are past the damn store!
So we argue the rest of the way home, Ella passed out in the backseat. I took her out once we got home and she stays asleep in my arms. DH says he's going back out for the veggies. I tell him not to bother. He says "well since you had this reaction it's obviously important". Can't tell if I should be less mad or more mad for this comment...
Anyways, he leaves, and I lay down with Ella in our big comfy chair. She nestles right on over my belly and Audrey started to kick and poke her!! It was the most bizarre feeling to have my big baby laying on top of my little tiny baby in my belly. I CANNOT believe that was Ella 2.5 years ago.
Oh, and miss exhausted Ella stayed asleep so I just put her in her crib. She will probably wake up at 2 AM but she was passed right out, I just didn't have the heart to wake her.

Oh, SCREW that shit. I hesitate to mention this because I know you're in the middle of sleep troubles, but... my daughter is a really good sleeper. She's 3 and 3 months and she still takes a two-hour nap every day. Do I know how lucky we are? Of course!
It so burns me up when other people will either note that she'll probably drop it soon (um... based on what evidence?) or that we're crazy people for accommodating that nap. On the weekends, I've definitely had childless friends ask if we can go out and do stuff mid-day, and when I say, no, Z has to be home for her nap, they ask, "can't she skip it just this once?" :-w
I'm with you: naps till kindergarten! And even then, hell, if she wants to nap on the weekends, go right ahead, kid!
PS it sounds like you're for sure in a temporary thing, yes, probably due to teeth. You know this, but hold fast to the schedule, she'll come back around.
@KristinMTBell I'm glad you enjoyed it! I told everyone I knew about it when it happened, and honestly, everyone I talked to was like, "I would have LOVED to be in that situation!"

Thanks babe. I'll send her your love. She really hasn't been eating that great this week either so that makes me suspect teeth too.
Definitely sounds like teeth! Poor little one! I think the tablets might help. Summer always had a heck of a time when she cut teeth, and Hyland's teething tablets usually helped her a lot. If that didn't work, I'd give her Tylenol, but it was only a few times when it was really bad. Hope the tablet works for Ella!
I was stuck in a staff retreat all day. Good info, but the speakers kept running over into our breaks! And then cut into half of our lunch hour. I was so ticked. You do not take away a pregnant woman's pee breaks and food time. Ever.
Suffice it to say, I did not stick around for the mandatory fun for the evening.
Tomorrow we head to the Bahamas. Wish us luck – I have a feeling my FIL is going to be a wet blanket all weekend.
Awaiting our bundle of cute chaos.

About to eat some fuzzys. I am so excited. We are getting nachos, tacos and queso. Yum!!!!!
Super jelly!!!!! I craved their shrimp tacos all the time when carrying my girls. Haven't had any Fuzzy's at all this pregnancy so far.
@lizzybean Aww hang in there! At least you know what she wants/needs this time! Hugs! Meanwhile my double trouble team is wide awake and rambunctious. Damn second wind!!!
@lizzybean Naps are SO tough! As far as I'm concerned, my kids will be taking afternoon naps in their cribs (with their pacifier) until they go away to college.
In other news, my OB scheduled my RCS today. When did I get to be that pregnant? Little Natalie will be here on 2/11, unless she makes plans of her own.

@CatLadyTX oh my gosh! You have an exact date! That's a whole new level of real. I can't decide if I'd be more or less nervous knowing the actual day for sure (barring baby showing up early, of course).
DH wanted a phone free day (a rule he broke several times) so I gave it to him. I'm not sure why sine we just sat around playing video games all day but it was relaxing and enjoyable. He was amazing today and made dinner and cookies. That fun was short lived though because DS kicked the dog for no reason. For the first time ever he walked up and booted Maxie right in the face. He got in trouble and went to bed to early. He's been singing for the past hour so I think that punishment is a failure.
DH keeps getting randomly bitchy. I finally got him to almost talk about what's been bothering him. I guess I'm not doing enough to keep the house clean enough for him. I'm pretty sure I clean up every day, do the dishes daily, do the laundry bi-weekly now and sweep and vacuum twice a week. Our house is pretty clean. I think I deserve bonus points for doing it with a toddler in the house while I feel exhausted and shitty from poor sleep and messed up sinuses.
Anyway, overall it was a good day and I had cinnamon sugar cookies! Now to read the 8 pages waiting for me. I hope it's at least 95% good news.
@jennjilljoite extra bonus points for cleaning when you feel horrible and with a toddler in tow! I don't think our DHs understand how freaking difficult it is most of the time and how being pregnant and having a toddler is WAAAY different than the first pregnancy.
I'm having issues with my sciatic nerve being pinched atm so I can pick up DS or change a diaper without searing pain so I think my DH is starting to realize how difficult it is day in and day out to try to keep the place clean. Might be the best medicine. :-/
As @lizzybean said earlier, this mommy thing is hard. Sooooo true.

What what what?!?! It sounds like you do a ton around the house!!!! Do you guys have an agreement that you do all the housework? Otherwise, it seems your DH can clean a bit himself if he gets so upset over it.
I can't get my Dh to help at all with the house. I have asked him everyday day this week to help out with laundry. the most hes done is wash one load let it sit over night and not put it in the dryer until the next morning when i asked him if he did then go to do it myself.
My dh's issue is he would rather stay up all night to play video games then to help me with anything. If I didn't work full time me doing the house work wouldn't be an issue because dd is in school all day. But I'm at work at day same amount of hours as him then when I get home he expects me to do all of DD homework with her, make dinner, do laundry, do dishes, clean, and feed the dogs while he sits on his ass. Not happening. My house looks like a war zone which it will stay looking like until he helps clean it, or until I quit my job right before the baby comes.

This! Lord, DH is lucky that the house gets vacuumed about once a month. Tell him you are doing your best and to get over it, and if he doesn't like it, maybe he could pitch in a little??
@catladytx I'm so excited for you (and a little jealous)! My OB said at my first appointment we'd talk about scheduling my RCS when I'm around 30 weeks...6 more weeks for me womp womp!

I asked her today when she normally schedules them, and she pulled out her phone and checked her schedule right there. I was not expecting it, but I'll take it.
