The ladies at the blood draw lab know me by name and which of my veins are the best. They don't even ask which arm anymore. I feel like a human pin cushion .
I just hung a double framed picture yesterday, and cannot for the life of me get it straight. Every time I look at it, it's crooked, no matter how often I've straightened it. I think there is a little house elf that is playing tricks on me!
@catlady22 There are a lot of people who find them painful or uncomfortable, but I didn't. It was like getting a pap done. Maybe that will be your experience, too?
But I could just have a funky crotch, because it did make a plastic test tube explode on it's way down to the lab.
Today I think my husband is going to finally order windows.
Yesterday at work I nearly fell off my stool due to a super hard jab to the left side from LO. Like, out of nowhere super hard hit. Then he/she kept her foot sticking out of my side for about 20 minutes. Haha
I am dreading the cervical checks.....my gyne always had a hard time doing my paps...she would say how high it was and that it was crooked....I have a feeling its going to suck for me.

Thanks for starting the randoms thread today @maelara! I think that if you log on and have a random post but the randoms thread for the day hasn't been started yet then anyone can start it and get it going. Agreed all? It's a lot to ask one person to start it everyday...especially as we enter birth days for a lot of our girls!
Yes! It would be way to hard for one person to do, it should be like the weekly stuff (UO, FFFC, etc).
Natali just head butted me in the face. Ouch I don't think she did it on purpose but I had to separate myself from her. It still freaking hurts!
Ouchies! That sounds painful - totally reminded me of something that happened the other night. My husband and I are STILL at my in-laws while the reno's on our house wind down. We are sharing a full-sized bed. We. Don't. Fit. He's been very good about trying to give me as much space as possible. Well the other night, he went to flip over in bed and head butted the night stand! Yeesh! Poor guy has a red gash on his forehead and a nice bruise.
@WildFlower810 - Yes to the odor! Sometimes when I go to the bathroom at work, I get super worried other people can smell it. Yuck!
@catlady22--you can decline the cervical checks. They really are not necessary.
This whole time I thought I would be doing just that. However, after so many consistent contractions yesterday I honestly pretty curious if they are doing anything or just false labor.
This. My OB & I discussed why they're recommended and my concerns/ hesitancy. With my fears calmed, curiosity ended up getting the better of me. My contractions have not caused me to dilate, and the check was nothing. That said, unless I continue having a shit ton of extraordinarily noteworthy contractions this week, I'll probably decline the next check. Good luck!
I have my group B strep test next week and I'm super nervous that I'm going to have to shit post shower, pre appointment.
No doubt. It was a surprise for me when they did it this week instead of next... I was rather relieved when the test was, um, more or less swabbing the deck as opposed to a ... deep cleaning.

Glad to hear. I've been obsessing about how, um, deep they go.
@catlady22@mander82 - I have had cervical checks every two weeks for the past couple months and so far they haven't hurt. Maybe my cervix is just easy?
@lissydee - the gif in your signature always makes me want to dance. love it.

Poor guy!! I hope you guys get into your house soon. We are almost done our reno's as well, however, they weren't as intense as yours!
I have a cervical check next time (oct. 21) and will probably get more of them to make sure Avery is head down. So I guess they are a bit more needed for me? Yay...
So I'm in line at the grocery store and the girl in front of me honestly asked how does a juice box work???? Are they really that hard to understand?
WTF?! How the hell do you not know how a juice box works?! I hope this person walked to the store and isn't driving around in a car.
I just stood there like what?!?! Apparently from my being nosy. She was watching her niece and nephews and let them have them during the store trip but couldn't figure out why nothing was coming out for them. I don't even understand, I really just stood in disbelief. I mean people who don't have kids still have common sense I would hope.
We used juice boxes as kids. It's not like they are this magical new invention. I wonder if she was raised under a rock? Juice boxes be hard, yo!
Umm..I think I should've asked my nurse questions about the group b strep swab I'm scheduled for next week. I feel like an idiot because until reading this thread, I thought they just swabbed the vajayjay. Oh dear.
I'm at a midwife practice where we have group sessions instead of individual appointments after 20 weeks. Today we're doing belly casts. I feel like I should be all excited and earth-mothery about it, but I kind of just don't want to slap a bunch of plaster on my belly and sagging boobs. Then I'll feel obliged to take it home as a "keepsake," then it will sit in my basement for 20 years. Then one day my kids will have to clean out our house and think, WTH did mom keep this thing? And why are her boobs so saggy?? Blah. Don't want to go. But must go for the prenatal care.

@uncharted01 - I have no idea how you are sleeping in a full. I feel disadvantaged in a queen! Dang, I hope you get to move back home soon!
I have my first cervical check today and I'm pretty nervous that it is going to hurt.
I know it's different for everyone but I had my first one Tuesday and it wasn't painful at all -- completely relaxing is the key (I was told) hope it's quick and painless for you as well!
@WildFlower810 - yes! I definitely feel like t'a getting stronger...and more. My underwear get pretty damp sometimes. Makes me glad I wasn't in third tri during the heat of summer!!
Thank you for starting this up @Maelara! I was thinking it was time to stop posting on the Wednesday randoms thread.
I'm WFH this morning, translation, still in bed. But I'm justifying it because I only slept three hours Tuesday night due to back pain.
I'm still laying around in my pajamas right now too, but I don't feel very bad about it. I'm a third-shifter, and I have trouble flipping my schedule on days off. I was up cleaning and hanging up pictures at around midnight last night, and awake still at 5 am. I need to get my butt in gear, because I have a lot to get done today, but I'm having a hard time working up the motivation.
On another note, LO is trying to see how nervous she can make her momma. She hasn't been moving as much lately. I know it's probably just a matter of less room, and I do feel her, but it's still anxiety inducing. I keep telling myself it will be easier when she's on the outside and I can see that she's okay, but I also know that then there will be a whole new set of worries.
@WildFlower810...yes to the smell! Also, my feet...they sweat profusely. All day. In flip flops (yes, I'm still wearing flip flops because nothing else fits and because of said sweat). They are all I smell and I feel like the girl I'm training smells them when she's next to me. It's so embarrassing.
I hate to admit it but this thread is the first I'm hearing of this strep b test...when is it usually done and they go where??? @-)
I'm ordered a new mattress...Bob-O-Pedic to be exact. It's being delivered today. I can't wait to not be sinking in the middle of my bed and attempting to roll over in said hole. Unfortunately I'm working 7:30am-9pm today so it will be awhile before I get to lay in it but it will be glorious after this long day, I'm sure.
Today's OhShit moment... I woke up to our swing built and in the corner of my livingroom... DH Aparently couldn't sleep last night so he was productive. The swing is for a baby... The baby that I'M gonna be popping out in the next few days-3weeks... EEKKKk! It's getting real y'all.

My feet are super sweaty too! Ick.
Mine is next week at 36 weeks, but I think it's done any time between 35 and 37 weeks. Vaginal and rectal swab. Yay.
@missnacholover Thanks...but this is not news I like. I shall ask about it at my appointment on Monday so I can make sure that no one comes with me to THAT appointment. Awkward.
I'm so sick of people says "just wait" or "haha" or "good luck" or "you'll see" or whatever other unsupportive, unhelpful thing that comes to their mind when I say I'm planning on laboring at home as long as possible and having a med free birth. It makes me want to prove them all wrong SO badly which irritates the hell out of me since while that is my plan if it doesn't go accordingly I am flexible. I want to do what is best for me and the baby. I don't know what kind of labor I will have! But with all these comments I feel like its going to make me super stubborn just so I don't have to hear "I told you so" etc after the fact. I solemnly swear that I will not say shit like that to other pregnant women.
Yesterday sucked. I'm not holding out hope for today to go much better. The only good thing about it so far is it's cooler outside. But at least I've been successful at supporting DH while he decides whether to quit his job since he hasn't noticed that the stress of it is about to send me into a full blown meltdown...
I don't feel like doing anything today, but I know there is so much that needs to be done. Maybe I can just pretend that a nap will help me get more motivated
Hooray for one month to go @AnnieRoo13 and all other 11/9 due daters. I can't believe baby could be here within the next month (or shortly after)!
Sorry things are sucky @carebella and hopefully they get better soon. My DH got let go from his job about a year and a half and it took everything in me to just be supportive and not show how much I was freaking out. He quickly found another job and is 10x happier, so here's hoping for that for your husband.
@lissydee..YES, i'm apparently obsessed too. I just was in a trance watching your siggy for at least 5 minutes. Haha
RE: Cervical checks. I'm glad you all brought that up. My OB said he would start this Tuesday if I wanted. I'll be 36 weeks. I'm not sure if I want them or not. I'm super curious as to what is going on down there but i'm terrified something will happen. I keep thinking about the person who posted on the "BIG" random thread about the doctor who accidently ruptured the amniotic sac during a cervical check. @-)
Someone make up my mind for me... I'll pay you in cake.

I know the feeling. I'm the type of person that is completely motivated by being told I can't. It's far more effective than telling me you believe in me and I can do it. LOL! I do think it will prevent me from giving up due to pain, but same as you, I still want to make sure I make the best medical decisions.
