@sugahcookie01 Elliot Stabler will forever be my all time fave character & crush...best ass in television!
@dronkeygal Shane's parents Jenna & Dan are from my high school so everyone around here has been following the story closely for months. It's really sad.
Hey all, back on the road, I'm in Albuquerque this week (i think)
That whole baby Shane thing is too much for me right now, I saw the update that she went I to labor this morning and was all NOPE! Not dealing with this today especially when I am not home to hug DS. My grsndmother lost THREE babies to anencephaly!
Off to read the m15 drama
Elliot was our boy name! We're have a girl though so we're 95% sure we're going with Elise (Ellie). We've liked the name for years, DH actually picked it but now he's hesitant to actually pull the trigger and say its for sure her name.
Has anyone bought Loft maternity clothes? I'm thinking about ordering some, but it's like $8 shipping or you have to order over $125, and then you can't return in stores, so I'm hesitant. Any reviews?
My spam: I'm super behind on here this morning. I had mint chip ice cream for dinner last night. I woke up with major heartburn this morning...never really had heartburn and it suuuuuuucks!
@Maple403 I am sorry you are having all those issues with YH. He sounds similar to mine. I have to ask him to feel my belly and that upsets me. I want him to feel consumed with it all on a daily basis like I am.
I've come to realize that the things that I am worried about, excited about, stressed about, are not the same for him. He is worried about money, worried about how to get things done, etc. He's more concrete and less touchy feely.
Hopefully that is the same with YH and that a bit of communication will make him come around.
How involved was your SO with the wedding? Some guys are gun-ho and full of opinions while others are very hands off. I know comparing a wedding to a pregnancy is a bit of a stretch but I do think it can show a personality trait that may or may not be present in your husband (and that isn't a bad thing).
Thanks for the feedback. My H has definitely been much more focused on concrete things like money and making sure that projects around the house are done before the baby gets here. I've noticed that he's taken on more household duties- almost all the yardwork, most of the grocery/costco runs, and some little things. I've recognized this and it makes me feel guilty sometimes, and it also made me feel really nervous about confronting him about feeling alone because I knew that he's been doing things to help. You are right, men are just wired differently. I don't think he considered adding extra bump-touches or things like that, he probably didn't even think of that. As much as I'd love it for him to be sentimental in that way, he just is not like that. However, he is doing things in his own way to show he's prepping for the baby and caring for me.
Regarding the wedding- we had a destination wedding because NEITHER of us like planning big events In fact, my obsession with the baby registry is really unusual for me. I didn't care nearly this much about our wedding registry, and I put very little thought into our house decorations compared to how much I've thought about nursery decoration. I think I'm either nesting super early or it's just the fact that you can't really plan much about pregnancy except for your nursery and registry. It gives me something to focus my nervous energy on to go over baby items. However, it seems to make DH nuts sometimes. So my end of the bargain was that I'd stop obsessing so much over things while he'd try to be more openly affectionate.

I love the name Ellie, but it is my MIL's name and I'd never live it down from my mother if we used it.
Pulling the trigger is HARD. We wrote all of our name options on a giant sheet of paper first. Then we had two chalkboards (maybe 8" x 12") and we'd write names on the boards and leave them there for a few days or a week to see how we felt about it in writing. We'd walk past it every day, multiple times a day, and after a few weeks, we just knew what felt right! It was kinda fun

Hey ladies... I had so much I wanted to tell you, but I cant right now.
Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers... Long story short, I just got a call that my sisters youngest son was just rushed to the ER for respiratory failure. He is 21months and just came home from the hospital (since birth) about a week and a half ago.
Ive talked a little here and there about some of the complications my family has experienced in regards to child loss, my sister lost her daughter at 13months old about 4yrs ago, so this is very dramatic and almost like deja vu.
I'll keep you posted.
MOD EDIT @ 11:45am - Jaz has informed us that her sweet nephew has passed away. Please think of Jaz, her sister, and her entire family as they grieve this terrible loss.

THIS here too! He is obsessed with updating the A/C unit upstairs where the nursery will be and obsessed with getting new windows and the french doors replaced in the nursery too. Those are the things I guess he feels like he can control and take charge of. I know that my husband feels very out of control since he isn't growing the babies, so those things help him.
Costco. Yes. He is constantly at Costco and it actually cracks me up. "Do we need milk? Bread? Chicken? Let me know what we need...." That's his way.
Sounds to me like YH is really doing things that help soothe HIM, so maybe give him some props (out loud) for the things he is doing?

@Chickenonsunday the whole shit show on M15 is way outta control. J15 and O13 got involved. I just sat back and read and after a while just started feeling bad and frankly so confused at what they are arguing about. Oh and BTW do we care if we post a HDBD bare belly pic? Has that ever been discussed here? Seems that that started the whole HDBD fiasco....Although it has been a little light on F15 lately reading over there made me sooooooooo 100000% grateful I'm a F15 mommmy!!!!:D
@sugahcookie01 so glad you felt your little man. Mine been super active the last week. Started out just like you explained and now I have a runner on my bladder.....
@jaztastic your family is in my T & P's I hope everything works out with your nephew....
I'm just going to start posting all my bump pics wearing only skimpy underpants.
You've all been warned.

Alright, I gotta tell my awkward co-worker encounter yesterday.
We have a snack bar in our office break room, where they have every kind of junk food that they possible sell at Costco.
So after lunch, I go in there and buy a candy bar. As I am picking it up, a co-worker of mine says to me "oh no, you should put that back down!" WTH is all I could think of right at that moment.
Little insight to this co-worker. She sits over on the other side of the building and I talk to her quite a bit via instant message, email and conference calls about work stuff, not personal. Also, she's extremely hard to read, can't tell if she is joking or being serious.
Anyways, back to the story. So, I'm baffled and I look at her, smile and say in a laughing manner, "the baby is craving this right now" and proceed to rub my baby bump. Which by the way, I am showing....
Well, she goes "I have been saying the same for 10 years now." So, as that was being said we were walking out of the break room and I just continued to walk back to my desk. No congrats no nothing. I think she did not get it and thinks I am just getting fat! But, who knows I couldn't read her tone so maybe she figured it out. Oh well, it doesn't bother me but, sure made me laugh. My other co-workers thought it was hilliarious because they know how she acts.
Anyhoo, just felt like sharing my strange preggo encounter. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!
Prayers to your family @jaztastic. We're here if you need us. Congrats to all the ladies with movement and finalized names. I love Elliott and my initials used to be ET so I heard the joke all the time
Hubby read to the baby last night. It was really sweet - he's like some of the other H's here - more focused on pratical, household-type stuff. And, the baby stops moving when DH tries to feel him. Every.Single.Time.
@mommadozer that's so weird lol. I feel like it will be hilarious when your belly becomes even more noticeably human inhabiting and she's sitting over there, rubbing her own "10 years" of belly without an excuse
Yeah I was going to ask about the bare belly feelings on our page. What is our consensus? I'm no prude (clearly.. It wasn't a stork who did this to me) so I don't care.. Show what you want. I will not be showing bare bump but I've always been self conscious about my tummy but if others do I don't care...
Not to bring that drama here (edit if necessary) but I trust we can keep it together.
@erobbins09 & @racheltherose I love the name Elliott. We were just talking about that name last night. But DS middle name is Emmett and I feel like it's too similar.
We had a few girl names on the table, but zero boy names. I feel like we won't ever pick something. Feb is getting close!
I'm sorry to all of you who had sleep troubles last night. I slept mostly through the night, but that was because I was working until 1am, which is a time I haven't seen in a while!
@erobbins09 - congrats on the healthy baby boy! Love his name!
@foxslaw - sorry your day is starting crummy. It seems silly, but when I have a crappy morning, I try to tell myself that the day can only get better from there!
My spam: There was a crazy lady driving on a local parkway the other day. She cut me off, almost hitting me, and causing me to slam on my brakes. She then was darting through lanes, driving aggressively. I am typically a feisty (crazy, if I'm honest) driver, and she got me very agitated to the point of almost crying stress tears. Then she got pulled over by a state cop. I was so happy! I'm probably horrible, but driving around Boston all day, it's nice to see one dangerous jerk held accountable.
Omg, @KristinMTBell -- one of the most redeeming moments of my life was about a year ago, when I was driving in stop-and-go surface street traffic behind a car that literally had NONE of its tail lights working. We were going slow enough that I was able to pay really close attention to keep my distance, but it was infuriating. Then, I swear to god, a cop car turned onto the street right behind me, and it was like a balloons-and-streamers party in my head -- I took the next opportunity to switch lanes so the cop was right behind no-taillights-car, and then watched in satisfaction as that asshole got pulled over.
These are the things that almost make driving in big-city traffic worth it!

First of all why try to stir up shit it is no secret that M15 has drama, if it's not happening now it will be soon, no need to stir the pot just to create it.
Second I could give 2 big shits about bare belly photos, y'all won't be seeing my stretch mark filled belly but if you want to show me yours go for it. I personally think it takes a very confident women to do so and I applaud bare belly ladies for that.
I'm so confused...why are there people from O13 on the M15 BMB? I don't go over to other BMB's and just post shit...wtf?

Since I have PUPP and hives on my belly I wouldn't want to punish you all with that horrific vision. IMO i really could care less though. You do you and go on with your bad self!!!

I'm with you. We're clearly adult enough to CREATE a child, lol. I don't think a bare bump is offensive, but I'm not easily offended. My tattoos are starting to look mildly comical, so there's that..
