Please let me know what you learn, @clyde013. Our dc people acted offended that we did not attend the 7:30pm parent curriculum/meet the teacher night last month. Um, no.
I am skipping ours tonight. I know they will be annoyed, but come on.
I am so so glad to hear that many of my bumpie friends whom I consider great moms are also dubious of extra daycare meetings and duties. I just had a conversation with S's teachers this morning about how homework for a three year old was overkill.Free play OK?!
I mean no disrespect to the professional authority of daycare workers; I just don't think prek is the time for sustained homework, esp. when parents end up doing it. Also what working parent can make 3:15 daycare parties?
not quite spray paint, but someone put this on my very dirty car a few years ago. My reaction was to take a picture. It stayed on my windshield for several days.

Ugh just got my income based student loan payments.... Yep can't pay that amount either..... Don't know what I'm going to do. Selling organs on the black market isn't sounding too bad right now.
There was a cluster of recycling/clothes donation bins near where I used to live and someone constantly painted over letters so the bins said "brown ass" and "green ass" and "hoes" instead of brown glass, green glass, and shoes. It was fixed like once a month and someone vandalised every single time straight after.

Curriculum night went well. I met some moms I liked and got a little more scoop about the class. They pretty much just told us what they do and answered questions. I'm glad I attended.
Tomorrow is my first appointment. I am so worried this time. Any spare good thoughts you can send my way would be appreciated.
My kids need to go to sleep. I need some sleep. They have been insane this week and I've slept horribly - I need rest so I can be patient with the full moon shaningans. Fx I have good news to share tomorrow.
Four hours later, I have nothing to show with all the baking I attempted. I really do suck at baking. Not sure why I do this all the time. Now I have nothing tp bring tomorrow. ( Ga. I need to get it together
Things are looking up, she says. We had a great evening, she says. Bedtime was almost easy!, she says.
Cue frantic sleep-scratching, which leads to Broviac dressing mostly ripped off, which requires waking mostly-asleep baby for emergency sterile dressing change. Since it was just changed yesterday and isn't due again until next Tuesday, ripping it off so soon and reapplying superduty cleaning solutions causes, you guessed it, extreme itching. An hour of semi-hysterical scratching later he is asleep, at least momentarily.
This could be a long night.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
In happier news, baby Charlotte arrived happy and healthy this evening on her mommy's birthday <:-P

I wish but I'm in the airport with like 3 huge deadlines hanging on me for tomorrow and I'm extremely overwhelmed.
