@SPurp13‌ I think her gift to the bridal party is the makeup. I'd be paying do the hair, which is fine by me. It's nice to be pampered for something special like that. Bride just emailed me back saying she's waiting to see what the stylists say about fitting me in and if not "I'm sure with all the girls around we can get your hair fixed." Uggggghhhhhhhh

Yeah, you're a better person than I, because I would not be cool with that.

But, then again, I think a gift should like, be a gift. Not something to be used in the wedding. I got all my girls different things. Like, one got a gift card for Toms. One got a gift card for a spa. One got a gift card for Sundance. One got a subscription for Birchbox. And I also think that if I required something special for them to wear, I would have paid for it.

I am with you. I hate when brides require makeup or hair to be done a certain way. When I got married, I just asked that my bridesmaids not choose my exact same hair style. Outside of that, how they wanted to wear their hair and makeup was what made them comfortable.

I was supposed to be in a wedding 5 days after my due date. Obviously that wasn't going to work, so I stepped down...but does it make me a bad friend that I was pretty happy I didn't have to deal with all of the little annoyances with being a bridesmaid? I am kind of over the wedding scene at

I have only been in one wedding. She was SUPER low key. I think her "gift" was the necklace I was to wear in the wedding. So, that was kinda borderline, but I liked it and I have worn it at other times. I also hate when the gifts are like, a shot glass with the wedding date on it. No one cares about that date other than you, brides.

Everyone said how "different" I was as a bride compared to other weddings they were in. Like. I sat everyone at the head table WITH their significant others. They really appreciated that. Did I appreciate having my BIL's BSC girlfriend (now wife) at the table? Nope. But it was the nice thing to do.

I just got back from costco, and I went without a plan, unlike @pnwlover12, which means that I spent way too much money on baked goods that will certainly expire before anyone has the opportunity to consume them.

I should not have gone to costco unsupervised.

Oh, then I went to Target and bought 50 containers of Fage. To add to the 30 or so in the fridge.

I nest in muffins, greek yogurt, and paper products.

I texted my husband at 1:02 about the power going out and he didn't answer me until 1:18. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. That is 16 minutes that I would be crying on the bathroom floor if it was the Labor Bat Signal, PLUS an hour drive.

I'm sure I would have called instead of texted, but that is besides the point.

DH and I gave DD her first bath at home today. She promptly peed all over me after we got her all wrapped up in the towel.

I think it was pay back for accidentally spilling water in her eye when I rinsed shampoo put of her hair.

At least she doesn't smell like stale milk anymore.

My car wouldn't start last week, and I had DH come home to jump start it. He felt terrible because he thought he left the dome light on when he looked for something in my car that morning. My car did all right, but when I was leaving work, it wouldn't turn over again. I remembered that I had had issues in the past where the bolt on the battery was loose, so I tightened it and it worked. I called DH to let him know it wasn't his fault after all.

He didn't answer. This would have been NBD, but then I started freaking out. I called three more times and left voicemails and texts which said something along the lines of, "WHAT KIND OF PERSON DOESN'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE WHEN THEIR 38W PREGNANT WIFE CALLS? I COULD BE DELIVERING YOUR CHILD IN THE PARKING LOT OF A HALFWAY HOUSE ASSISTED BY SEX OFFENDERS."

Caps and all. He thought it was hilarious. I was fuming.

Guise, I totally forgot I have a board meeting this evening (I'm on the board of a non-profit; basically we raise money and drink a lot) and I have absolutely no desire to go. I can't not go though because I'll probably miss our Nov meeting and fall fundraising events.

Yay for all those in labor, positive vibes for those who want to be in labor soon, and @savagek7 deserves to have this baby like, RIGHT MEOW!

Totally feeling sorry for myself because my chiropractor is out sick today and we had to reschedule for Friday. I so, so, SO needed her today because my hips have been all jacked up.

Luckily that happened to keep me around the house because we had a handyman come in to fix some stuff around the house unexpectedly...and at the same time, my toddler decided to have a massive poocano and blow out and make a mess all in her high chair, so DH and I had to divide and conquer. Now I'm sitting in bed on TB and she's next to me on my iPad watching Barney at the zoo.

Oh, and today I got my first PM/Gchat message asking me if the baby was coming soon. I just turned 37 weeks yesterday. These next 3+ weeks are going to be some kind of shit if that is any indication.

I had to X out of the page before I got too pissed. I already hate those sites enough, but when I know people have the means to pay for something and hop on the crowdfunding wave (because hey, why pay for it yourself if others will do it?), it seems sketchy to me.

Then again, I'm normally bitchy enough, so just imagine how much filter and patience I have at this point in pregnancy.

Ok, I have a random for you ladies. I've found that I get oddly stressed come nighttime. With this baby coming any minute now, for some reason I've been getting nervous at the idea of going into labor in the middle of the night (like I have any choice). Something about driving to the hospital in the middle of the night stresses me out. Maybe it's about being ripped out of my comfort zone at an uncomfortable hour only to have to go to an even more uncomfortable place in the darkness of the night. Ehhh, who knows.

Alright, there's my piece for the day.
