I woke up this morning all stoked about posting my bump pic in the HDBD thread and kept looking for it to pop up. Then I realized its only Tuesday... Doh! Hello pregnancy brain!
I am going in to meet with the manager of the store I applied at over the weekend. It's only part-time, after my regular 40 hour-a-week job, for the holidays so I can create a buffer for baby. I'm actually excited about this because it just so happens it's my favorite store ever!
Guise, I feel really uncomfortable with the vibe of this board lately. I know it's the natural ebb and flow to BMBs but I don't like when the ebb is down.
Agreed. I feel like there is a lot more going on that is prompting the discussion in the yes or no thread.

@WAMOM yes. Too bad I can't wear any of it until after LO is born.. maybe some of the shirts.
I worked there 5 years ago as an assistant manager and I loved it. The only reason I quit was because they hired a store manager who was lazy and ignorant and who liked to yell at people (me included) in front of customers, instead of being professional and taking it into the office. That was in SC, and I'm now in TX so I don't have to worry about her anymore. So anyway, yay! Okay.. I went off on a tangent..

That "a lot more" is what's dragging on the board. There's way too much cya and hush-hush for my liking.

Yes. I know I look like a paranoid asshole, and it's killing me. But trust me, it's not out of nowhere.
Ugh went to the gas station, got a smoothie and giant cookie. Paid for them and 10$ in gas. I must have been so into my smoothie and cookie that I drove off without pumping the gas. I just got home and it's pouring down rain when I realized what I did. Made the decision that it's just not worth it to go back. Well at least I have my pumpkin smoothie and giant cookie to make myself feel better!

I give up, I had lots of thoughts in response to others, but an hour and 7 pages later, it's gone. I love you all, yay for good things, boo for bad ones. Pregnancy brain is real and here. I struggled to get full, coherent sentences out all day. Wicked fun when you teach middle school. Is it bedtime yet?
Oh, and 16 weeks today! I feel like times is moving faster.
@kellbell1982 I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and have been experiencing the same thing. It was so much that I called Doc and he said it's something called Leukorrhea which amps up in the 2nd tri. According to him it's to protect the cervical canal and totally normal. If you're really concerned try putting on a pad and if it soaks through call your OB. Most important thing is to keep yourself calm and try not to over analyze! There are so many things that COULD be but usually aren't! All us Bump Mommies are here for you!!
I made cabbage rolls for dinner and it was obnoxiously time consuming (especially because last night's dinner was too) and my eyes are all irritated from smoke and onions and shit. They better be damn fucking good.
I find myself trying to make elaborate meals since I'm being a SAHM currently. But, who has time for elaborate meals as a pregnant woman with a toddler to chase all day? Not me. But I keep putting myself in that position anyhow. I feel like I should have *something* to show for my day besides my happy and loving kid still being happy and loving. Cleaning doesn't happen so....yummy dinners?? Who am I kidding though, I did this to myself a lot when working too. I like to feel like I made a really good dinner for my family.
My husband is most likely going to be taking a step down (in title but not pay) at work to get into a department he really wants to be in and I could not be happier. With the step down between the two of us working from home I really think we could actually not have to hire a nanny for at least a year!! At least that's what my brain is thinking knowing our jobs...
Yeah no sorry it ain't gonna happen.
I work from home and DH can sometimes too. In the few cases where DD has been home during a workday it has been impossible to get more than 4-5 hours work done - and that's with a toddler. I couldn't imagine you'd get anything done with a newborn / infant.

I've never been able to work a full day at home with dd. At most 6 hours were logged. I can't iamgine trying to work 8 hours from home with her.
It's a violation of most companies' telework agreements to be primary caregiver of a child while WAH. For government contracts, it's illegal.
@wendyld@chilibeansm0m - yeah for me it's only been a few times in an emergency where like the daycare has called me saying come get your sick child, OR the next day when she's totally fine but can't go to daycare because there is a 24 hour exclusion from the time the got sent home until they can go back. In these cases my boss would rather me get a mostly good day of work in than have to cancel all my meetings or miss a deliverable, and the expectation is I'll make those hours up over the rest of the week. But doing it on the regular would be a total no no. And like I said even with both me and DH home it's still not doable for either one of us to get a full days work - we just take 1-2 hour shifts and trade her so the other one can work.
Damnit, I've been having waaaay too many BH again. I hate this.
What did your dr say? Is the BH a symptom of being dehydrated? Do you think supplemental fluids would help?
I haven't called. I don't think I'm dehydrated. The only "on call" option my OB has is call L&D. Yay small town! If it continues tomorrow, I'll call. Unfortunately my OB said that basically they won't do anything until 20w (looking for a new provider). My MFM will do more. If it's still happening in the morning, I'll call them. They do slow a lot when I stay off my feet, but still.
If you look at posting history of our good troll friend who is continuing to post like a normal member of this board despite no one wanting her here, there is some disturbing stuff. I won't XP it, but it isn't hard to find. I wanted you all to know, who are like, oh, just that one post was trolling, that that is not true. She has trolled elsewhere and she has said some pretty fucked up shit. So no matter how normal she appears for a while here, she is indeed a troll...
I wish they would make it possible to check history mobile. I never get on my laptop but I am a fucking reg who has a vested intrest in this board. I care about the members and should be able to see who I am dealing with.
Guys while my dh was grilling pork chops, I found a huge black widow web with the giant fucker all over my patio furniture. I'm so disturbed by this. My dd almost went and ran right into the web.

I found a bunch outside when I was over at my moms the other day. When I asked her if they get the house sprayed she said no like it wasn't necessary. I'm like... Ok maybe not now but in a few months you better start getting it sprayed because I do not want little one to be running around a house where I know there have been a lot of black widows before.
@knitnut, I was so freaked out I just wanted to go inside. But I dreamed of the stupid thing all night. I don't have any bug spray on hand, but I think I'll take some hairspray to it. That has always done me good with bugs in the past. @mrsanders2013, it was ironic because I just called the bug guy yesterday to have the house sprayed. We've had an unusual amount of rain here and we have a ton of crickets all of a sudden, which is why I'm sure the spider decided to set up shop.

Congratulations to everyone who had good appointments today! And a special congratulations to @chrain :-)
AW: 16 week appointment was good! So wonderful to hear LO's heartbeat. A/S is scheduled for Nov. 3.
Off to go make some pizza. Because pizza.
