  • I'm sitting in the parking lot of Boston market, but I'm not convinced that I really want their food.
  • I am kind of glad my doctor has not done a cervical check. Part of me is curious...but on the other hand I don't want it to give me false hope/sense of security! Plus I am pretty sure it will most certainly hurt me because even GBS test kind of hurt. I am going to be the worlds biggest baby during labor...

  • I just ate a piece of hard salami. Oops.
Is that bad?  Or is the bad part that you only ate one piece and you should eat more?  I'm confused.

  • I guess my OB has the touch. Cervical checks are no biggie...
  • Finally all caught up.

Had a crazy day of errand running and then took DD to the pumpkin patch after we picked her up from preschool.

Scored on new underwear on clearance at Target, got 16 pairs for $9. Also picked up some nursing bras. Oh, and Tucks for my poor, battered vagina/butt post-birth.

This is so me right now. Ouch. :-<

  • @Saragoeswest‌ Now I want to have a Harry Potter marathon.

We are going to my favorite taqueria for dinner with some friends. We are supposed to hang out at our house after and I am afraid they are going to want to just bail. I am irrationally upset about it and I don't even know yet. These hormones have GOT to quit!

  • @alfibet‌ woohoo!! Glad they finally admitted you!
  • Stink bugs have found their way in the house. I may or may not have unleashed a whole can of bug spray not even designed to kill flying insects.. RAID kills all..
  • I've literally laid here in bed eating a whole box of frosted mini wheats and orange drink…watching all the transformers movies lol

  • My car died. I just filled the gas today and we got the breaks fixed two weeks ago. DH's car can't fit us all, and now I have to spend maternity leave stuck in the house when I had so many places I wanted to take my sister.

    Fuuuuuuuuuuu-
  • Just spent I don't know how long trying on at least 20 different bras of different brands and sizes. Ended up with 2 Hanes comfort fit that aren't nursing but do have snap off straps. The lady at motherhood maternity was useless in helping and told me I'm a 40E. While impressive, definitely not correct. Ugh can I go braless after birth until I go back to work?? Is this unrealistic?

Ciara just posted some postpartum pics after having a 9+ pound baby and gaining 60lbs while pregnant.

    @-)

    ETA she's my postpartum motivation.
  • I had a good FFFC today!

I have shaved my legs every 2 days for the past several years.  I haven't stopped since getting pregnant.  And I don't really think it's that much harder than it used to be!

Me too, no problem shaving my legs right now. I feel a little bad going in for my cervical checks right now. I feel

  • I feel crazy...in that I am in less pain/discomfort 24 hours after a c section than I recall after my vaginal birth last time...I'm worried it is a "honeymoon period" and will get way worse, but nurse seems impressed.
Doctor was excited when I told him I started farting at 6am.
No more cath or IVs. Just a very uncertain big sister and a sweet thing sleeping on my chest.

Is it weird that I want to congratulate you on your 6am farts?!

Glad you're feeling pretty good right now!

@golfingdarwinfish shave! What if labour is imminent?! ;-)

I think labor becomes imminent if you shave.  It's like the highest level of nesting possible: nesting your own body.
Only if your shaving your vajay, that would be a damn miracle right now and extreme dedication. It would be like the olympics of shaving.

I really haven't had any issues shaving. I can't see whats going on so I am sure I have missed spots around my bikini line but I have been tending that area for so long that I can do it without seeing it.

  • I think I've caught up.

I feel like I've abandoned this place lately. My recovery is going well, as long as I keep on top of the pain. We came home last night to power being out in half the house. The half that controls the heat. It was in the 30s, so we pulled out a space heater and every one camped out in my room.

Lady's with previous C-sections, did you have a lot of swelling after? I'm waiting on the on call doc to call me back, but I'm swollen from the bellybutton down. My left leg is pitting all the way up on my thigh. It's kinda freaking me out.

  • @syllessa no advice, but I hope you feel better soon!

So I'm drinking my first cup of red raspberry leaf tea. And it tastes terrible. Anyone have suggestions for making me like it? lol...I'm not much of a tea drinker, but I do like earl grey. This is NOT earl grey. :P

Hoping the tea and some evening primrose oil will be a good start toward having this baby before his due date. Next week, stripping membranes (maybe. I might chicken out - does this hurt?!) and getting the chiropractor to try some acupressure. I really don't want to be induced! :)

  • I cleaned out our Brita water pitcher today. Disassembled and scrubbed it. Not sure why...I was doing the dishes and it was sitting next to the sink so I decided to clean it too. Nesting level?

Only problem is that I threw away the filter before checking to see if we had any more, and we're out! So it's tap water until I can run to the store tomorrow. Ewww
