I voted for Halloween costume fails, but in practice (and with a computer screen that faces my office door), I had to hide signatures for this month. Some are funny, but some border on NSFW. Sorry, peeps.

I hate it when I get bombard by kids or FB friends to buy frozen cookie dough, a $25 dollar candle, a raffle ticket, etc. I see a kids with the form headed my way, and I turn around and walk away. I hate it even more when I feel obligated to buy, example my friend's son was selling a stupid candle ^^ and I felt I had to buy it because I was talking to his mother when he came up to me.

I'm also interested but only for regulars. I don't care to know details or see pictures of cute decorations if you don't visit often and enjoy conversation with us. That's my attitude towards IRL AWs, too.

My FFFC is that I'm obsessed w/ making sure my registries have the "right" items & the best most economical prices. I'm on there everyday changing/deleting/adding.. all bc I can't make final decisions. I'm trying to make them perfect and to include everything, but it's turning me into a freak!

It's less about the share than the comparison. Like I said the other day, comparing pregnancies is a surefire way to hit butthurt. It'll just make others feel better at someone's expense or worse about themselves.

I gave the vision of what I wanted to go for... but I had no idea my mom/friends were taking it to this level. Im pretty excited and enjoying the ride. I got an email today with an appointment for the cake tasting on Wednesday and whether or not I can make it. I was very involved in the beginning but now I have taken a step back and Mom&Co are coming to me with finalized details on this or that.

Just a few tidbits...

1) Its a winter wonderland theme... and its being called the Welcome to Parenting Gala

2)I found out DH picked out his tux already... who the fuck wears a tux?? hence me needing a really awesome dress, I cant be outdone by the guy who isnt doing any of the work (cocktail party attire for all other guests)

3) Assorted butlered appetizers (beef wellington puffs anyone?)

4) Im doing a name reveal at the shower for the baby... Mom decided it should be in Gobo lighting.

5) My bestfriend asked for my top picks in ice sculptures from the samples emailed over.

... I am so ready to party... I keep forgetting this is about the baby.

@jaztastic i wanna hear about the shower!! I love parties and id love to see pics from everyone's shower. I am wuth you in them needing to be at least semi regulars tho since i enjoy it way more if i know you!

And i totally wanted to AW my little sisters shower because i threw it and i think i did a great job but i didnt want to be that girl so i kinda get how you feel.

Many women on this board have shared their struggles with weight issues, body image and EDs in the past.

Having it sitting right there staring them in the face is a cruel tease when they may have the urge to look at the posted numbers, compare themselves to others, and generally just feel crappy about it.

But "feeling fat" sometimes, and having a lifetime struggle with Body image and/or ED's is not the same thing.

I suffered through anorexia in middle school and high school. I have self image issues. But if I see a post I don't want to read or participate in, I simply ignore it.

I said that because I don't want obsess over it. All I am going to say is this, I am in a healthy range, my BMI is where it should be for my height and most importantly, my baby is healthy. I don't want to step on the scale every day to see the changes (obviously they are happening). Just because I don't want to know, doesn't mean I am "ignoring" it because I care so much.

I don't struggle with EDs or body image, but know it's in an incredibly fraught topic. I feel there's no need to trigger for people if at all possible.

That said, my use of the term "butthurt" wasn't the best, too. So I apologize for minimizing. I meant that hurt could be internalized and trouble people off the board.
