Sorry for your loss, I have experienced that 3 times and know how you feel. I also have 2 kids and one more on the way so trust me it will happen. I have experienced both the cytotec and D&C. Both are difficult and uncomfortable however I personally felt less invaded when I did the cytotec rather than the D&C. The D&C is a procedure you are in it is uncomfortable and it's done. At least with the cytotec you can do it at home although it may take a little while. Do what is best for you and know that it will hurt your heart for a while, you will never forget, but everything happens for a reason and you did nothing wrong.
Mother to Joelle (13), Jaxen (3) and Jayla (due 5/6)
I'm so so sorry for your loss! I ended up with a blighted ovum at 7 weeks and I took the cytotec, however it didn't work and had to have a D&C as well. I hope all goes well and my thoughts are with you and your family.
I am so very sorry! Losses are not fair! Sending you hugs!!
I work on an LND unit. There are advantages/disadvantages to both. Cytotec can be done in the comfort of your own home, but it can take awhile. A D&C is very effective and is taken care of in a very short amount of time.
I am so sorry you have to make this choice. Take your time and take care of yourself!!
Thank you all so much. I think I'm going to try the Cytotec. If it doesn't work, I'll have a D&C on Monday. I will miss this board so much and wish for happy and healthy pregnancies for you all!
We lost our last baby at nine weeks, but did not find out until eleven weeks. They set me up for a D&C, and out me out the same day. I feel for you and your loss. I will keep you in my prayers.
So so sorry, I just went through this too. Then, come to find out, a month and a half later I was pregnant again! What I'm saying is, you will have your time. God doesn't give you things you can't handle. Best wishes for you and your baby's father.
I am so sorry. Huge hugs your way. I lost my M15 baby as well but wasn't as far along as you. Only almost 7 weeks so having the miscarriage at home just worked better as it was too late for a D&C anyways. Hang in there. PM me if you want to talk. Thinking of you.

I chose a d & c because I just wanted it to be over so that I could try and move on.
It definitely is an experience you will never forget, but I hope you go on to have a perfectly healthy and happy pregnancy in the future.
