  • @kfitzguerra - Dryer...line drying isn't necessary.  Oh, and I see you changed your avatar, no warning at all!  Not cool!
I put ours in a dryer, because LOL line drying. But no dryer sheets, right? I didn't use any, and it SUCKED. Everything was all stuck together and shit.

So, this baby has been ONLY on my right side the ENTIRE time. There is NOTHING of interest on the left side. At all. It's just hollow. Maybe that's where she keeps her bags? I have no idea.

Yesterday, I caught that bitch creepin' over to the left side, and I was like "YEAH, GO OVER THERE FOR A CHANGE," and then she was all like NOPE and ran back to the other side.

What is so scary about the left side, APurp? Should I be concerned something scary is going to fall out of my uterus after APurp comes out? Like the puppet from Saw or something?

    @Spurp13

FE is the same way; I was starting to wonder if there's a unicorn over there, or a kitten.  Or perhaps something scarier, such as a large arachnid. Maybe the fluid is cold over there and they prefer a warm bath on the right?

Every so often FE will move his head over to the left side and I feel hiccups way down low over there, but I've never felt a kick or a punch from that side.

You should try wool dryer balls from Norwex.  Love these things. Little pricey but helps with the static, and you can add some lavender oil or something to them which I think is safe for the baby but gives you a little bit of the scent without all of the chemicals

Dryer balls! I haven't used dryer sheets in a couple years and my clothes aren't ever stuck together. I made my own balls with yarn, but Nellie's makes some good ones too.

  • DH invited his friend over to watch football on Sunday. I usually wouldn't mind but I will be 40.1 weeks. And he told him I was cooking Sunday dinner. The friend is a single soldier who doesn't get home cooked food often. DH doesn't think this baby is coming any time soon.

  • We use community volunteers at my work.  If we have nothing for a volunteer to do, we email or call the volunteer in advance to let the volunteer know not to show up.  This is not new.  This is not something that only I do.  This is a shared responsibility.

I came in today and noticed that our volunteer who drives 90 minutes to get here has nothing to do.  ALL DAY.  I asked the instructor who worked last night if she had emailed him to tell him to not come in, and she said, "No. No one told me to do that."

Are you kidding me?  It's part of your job.  This is not my duty that I neglected to mention that I am passing on before I leave.  This is something we do DAILY.  This place is going to burn to the ground without me.

DH offered to have a meeting here tonight. While it helps that I can just put the kids to bed, that means I have to clean the house and make a dessert. I have no energy to do any of that today, and it's not even 9 AM. Plus, I feel like every conversation lately involves, "how are you feeling?" "still no baby?" "still hanging in there?" ect. I know people are just trying to make small talk, but I'm so sick of hearing those same questions. I'm more than a pregnant belly people!

Oh heck no. Do you have any freezer meals you could whip out? My DH keeps inviting his friends over also, and I'm just like, don't expect me to be social or change out of my sweatpants...
I have a few freezer meals. I didn't want to use them yet though. I just planned on lounging in pjs all weekend.

Good luck to everyone contracting or in L&D!

@ANGnJON That sounds life a tough decision.  Hopefully the insurance company stops being a pain for you as well.  Definitely not the time!

I always put baby clothes in the dryer, with dryer balls.  I am debating buying more dryer balls or just using the sheets this time around.  I seriously have no idea where the dryer balls went.  I am pretty sure I saw one in DD's playroom a couple weeks ago.  :-??
They do seem to disappear or end up in weird places.  I am missing two of them...

  • I'm terrified of BFing. My experience with DD was so awful, I can't imagine going through it again..it was a major source of depression for me the last time, and literally, the day we switched to formula, I felt like myself again.

I'm mostly afraid of the pain. I would rather give birth everyday than go through that excruciating breast and nipple pain every hour.

I want it to be succesful this go-round, but ay ay ay, the scared feelings I have.

This happens to me to. I have 2 sets, and still sometimes can't find any. (I think I even had 3 sets at one time.)

Also, I only line dry baby clothes when I have stubborn stains. The sun will do a miracle on those yellow spit up stains.

  • Good luck to everyone in and going into L&D today!

@ANGnJON‌ I feel ragey after reading about your insurance issue. Seriously, insurance companies get me SO MAD. I mean what do we give them all this money for?! To have them try to weasel out of paying anything when it's their turn? Frickin' crooks, man.

What is their reason for not wanting to cover the first 48 hours? FX it gets sorted out soon, and fast. Such B.S.
  • @MrsSinner402‌

Thanks @deezidee04‌! I still can't full wrap my head around it! My OB, MFM & nurses just can't believe it because the ins company basically keeps contradicting themselves! They only want to cover the first 48 hrs, which is really like 31 hrs, because I wasn't admitted till 7pm on Monday but it counts as the first full day! Basically the ins companies on staff doctors don't feel that my case is "severe" enough to warrant me being here! Although "statistically" they agree with all of my Drs opinions medically speaking! I'm considered HR & have multiple issues going on, GD, GH, AMA, IF, IVF pregnancy with multiples, increased fluid in baby b's sac & baby a only measuring in the 16th percentile! In a nut shell they told my OB that if MFM is recommending they be delivered at 37 weeks then she should deliver them at exactly 37wks, tomorrow! She told them that there is no OR available so it would be Monday. MFM told the ins company that any time after 37 weeks was ok unless a medical need to deliver sooner would arise of course! Everyone is on board with Monday, except the insurance company! I can't, I just can't even deal right now! It just makes my blood boil! BASTARDS!!!
Me: 37, DH: 42 Married March 22, 2003 TTC since early 2006, Fertility treatments since 02/2013 First Pregnancy with Twins EDD 10.24.2014
  • Yes @MrsSinner402‌ rub it in why don't ya! Great picture and super cute!! Now I'll have to visit my friend who had her baby a little over a month ago to get my baby fix!

I should really read through the board before making clikii pole decisions on the number of babies coming today. GL & FX for everyone!

I made this Copycat Panera Bread Broccoli & Cheese Soup last night for dinner. It was super yummy and with the number of lady's here who love Panera, I figured I'd share. Don't say I never gave you anything.

While we're on the topic of food, one of the partners is taking a group to Ruth's Chris for lunch today. I really want a med rare filet, but pregnancy. Tell me that I'll be fine eating the damn steak. MAKE ME EAT THE STEAK.

ETA: It would help if I actually linked the recipe like I said. BRB getting more coffee

Dude. Steak. Plus I have been eating medium rare to rare steak from the beginning cause I'm a rebel meat eater like that and it's a crime to cook a steak any other way.

    @angnjon

That's very frustrating and BS you really don't need to deal with right now.  Has your MFM spoken to the MFM @ the insurance company?

    She's gorgeous! :)

  • On today's task list:  Prep the cloth diapers and covers  They are just so small and cute!  I know that she won't be able to use them for a few weeks, but I couldn't resist now that all of the diapers have arrived.

Baby Girl "C" arrived on 10/07/14 (39 weeks, 6 days)

  • I suppose it is time to finally put a bunch of stuff I have just been piling in the nursery away...

I am, however, rewarding myself with a trip to the nail salon for a mani/pedi this afternoon!
