It's my baby's 7th birthday today!! Brought butterfly cupcakes and juices to her school and this is the happiest I've seen her in weeks. Best feeling in the world seeing your kiddo gleaming with excitement. She also had a ball at her birthday party on Saturday! I got her a mermaid costume, curled her hair and put some light make up on her. She had so much fun and so did her friends!

Man, this having kids thing goes by so fast. I think I'll try for another.....

I had the opposite happen: I was a huge diet coke drinker before getting pregnant but during the pregnancy, it just tasted awful to me. Now I've finally got the taste buds back for it!

DS just rolled over for the first time, and i got it on video!

WTH!!!! I go back to work on Monday. The CFO (my former boss) asked me to come in so we could discuss some changes in responsibilities in the office. Sat down with him and my current boss (the General Supervisor) and was blindsided with the CFO telling me they want me to move back into the accounting department. Business is booming and they are struggling back there. The girl they brought in to cover my leave doesn't have the skills to move into accounting (my current boss straight out said I'm smarter than her and she couldn't make it back there) so she gets to stay in MY job, but he isn't happy about it because of that reason too. AND they want me to go back to hourly because no one else in accounting is salaried. WTF!!!! FMLA doesn't cover me any more because I took 2 extra weeks off. DC didn't have an opening and my boss was ok with that. If I had known they were considering making changes, I would have figured something out for 2 weeks and gone back.

I'm going back tomorrow to discuss more specifics about it, but shit this sucks.

I can get a shower in but then he gives MiniMe back, usually before I'm even fully dressed.

It normally comes down to a choice while she naps - trim nails/brush hair OR work. We need the money so I spend a lot of time with talons and a rats nest on my head.

I have to distract my children with food. Works every single time. It's called the "feed-n-run". You feed them then run like hell to do whatever it is that needs to be done. Keeps em busy for a good 20 minutes.

Girrrrl. Sounds like you need a week (Nope, not a day) for you to do you. Get your hair done, get your nails and toes done, and let your DH have the kids for a while

Actually, I'm pretty sure we could all use that...

@babybell22‌ haha thank you! I thought he was about to so i ran out and got my phone and it was perfect timing! Hes 10 weeks and 3 days today.

Oh and guys.. im like socially akward now.SUPER Cute guy came into my work tonight, he tried to come to me to check out but my stupid co worker messed that one up, but then later in the night iwent out front and saw him leaving the restaurant next to us and he came over trying to start small talk.

I completely froze :-??

I'm going to be single forever :P

Baby girl has been STTN since she was a month old. It's rare she wakes up, but if she does, I feed her, lay her back down and she's out.

She woke up tonight around 3:30. I fed her, she passed out in my arms and I laid her down in her crib. I guess she woke up a few minutes later because I hear her cooing. I get up to give her her paci and YALL. She gives me the biggest, gummiest grin when she sees me. I just want to scoop her up and play with her now!

In the past 24 hours two of my nursing bra underwires popped through. Ugh... Now I'm debating buying larger regular bras or more nursing bras. I'm only EP-ing so I don't use the nursing feature all that often, only when I manually pump.

Last week of no sleep for DS was well worth it it's so cool to watch him do new things. Just over the past few days he now rolled over for the first time, bats at his toys hanging on his tummy time mat, holds his paci in with his hand and tries to grab it when it falls out and rubs his eyes now when hes tired (which is the most adorable thing ever!) I absolutely love watching him change and grow.

it's amazing how your priorities change when you have kids--I used to plan my birthday weeks in advance, this year I'm content to just spend the day with my beautiful DD because she is the best gift I could have ever received.

@kenziebug22‌ my DS slept great last week and is now back to two MOTN feedings. He's 11 weeks, so I'm hoping he just hitting the 12 week wonder week a little early. I've definitely noticed him getting better at some things. He's also reaching and swatting at his toys on his play mat, he holds his head up way better now when we do tummy time and he's almost rolling over. It really is amazing to watch!!

There's a strange man downstairs (I think something to do with the phone line) so I should probably get dressed before I go get breakfast.

But my clothes are in a drawer downstairs so I'm not sure what to do. My PJs are not stranger-appropriate.

@tundrabunny I spoke to the CFO more this morning after having a day to take it all in and talk to DH about it. They did give me a raise and will keep me at the top of the list for anything new that may come along, but right now they really need my help back there and I have some experience already.

For now I'm going to stick with it. Ideally, I don't want to work forever (I'm not a career type person). We love the daycare/school our kids go to and they get so much more out of it than I could give them if I was a SAHM, so I need to work FT at least until they get into kindergarten. It's also a unique situation because my father has worked for this company for 30+ years (he's now on the international side so I don't actually work with him) and my mother also worked there until she retired 6 years ago. My father has shares in the company and when he retires, I should be eligible to inherit them if I'm still there and that would be HUGE for us. So, I have a few reasons to try and stick it out, but it still sucks because I really liked what I was doing and who I was working for. Also, on an entirely selfish note, I won't get the ipad back from work which means I won't be able to get on TB as much or as easily as I was looking forward to when I went back.

I'm getting my hair cut this week, but I don't know if I want to do long layers or go a little shorter like I used to have it.

I always go back and fourth between wanting shorter hair and missing my really long hair, ugh.

I'm getting mine done tomorrow, and I'm doing it for a class my hairstylist needed someone for so I don't even know what I'm getting. Takes out me having to worry about what to get done, but also leaves me worrying about what they will do...

DH and I are taking DS 1(who will be three is October) to see Thomas and Percy this weekend at the train museum. I'm so freaking excited to see his face when he see's Thomas! Best part about being a parent is seeing the joy on your kids faces!

My friends been doing hair for years and shes doing it sometime this week whenever shes off and im seriously considering having her just surprise me because i cant make up my mind lol

MiniMe is so tired but fighting it so hard, it's adorable. Been holding her for 15 mins while she's half-heartedly whined with her eyes shut.

I need to get some work done but I know she'll wake up and scream if I move.
