Re: Tanning bed
You know what was positive? That most of us told you to keep your baby safe by staying out of the tanning bed.
Sorry that you didn't get to hear what you wanted, but the only negative response you got was the chick that told you to put you and your baby in harms way by tanning.

Not to mention, the only two questions you have asked have been about beauty practices. Seriously? How on earth would anyone here, who has spent time here, see you as anything other than vain? The only knowledge we have to speak of your character is about dying your hair and tanning. It's pretty clear where your priorities lie. Maybe they don't, maybe you're a really nice person with lots of great values, but what we see is a vain person who cares more about looking good than protecting their LO.
D14 November Siggy Challenge: The feels of 3rd trimester...
Too mean?
I'm ultra-pale and sunscreen is the only reason I am allowed outside during the day or night, especially right now because my skin seems so much more sensitive than before. I always considered a box full of UV rays to be some sort of torture device made to kill people like me so I'm not much help here. Ask your doctor but you already know what they'll say...
I was told explicitly to avoid hot tubs and saunas and anything else that can raise my body temp to over 102 degrees because it can hurt the developing baby, especially their spine and brain. I'm guessing a tanning bed could easily get that hot.
So glad we now know that it's okay because this first time poster told us so. Time to go smoke a joint and go tanning!
Baby 2: EDD: 8/06/14 CP: 11/13

That depends, is it for your beauty regimen? Because if it is, then it's more important than your LO.

Have you not lurked on this board at all? Did you expect a different reaction? Calling people names isn't nice either. I'm glad we could be so "comical" for you while we assumed you were going to tan, after posting a question about tanning.

As long as you are comfortable doing it, baby will be fine.

Again, you don't get to determine what people say, nor the 'tone' that is used in responding on a forum. Sad story, huh?
You can think it's rude that people are telling you that it's moronic to tan while pregnant. That's fine by all of us. I can post a pic of my FIL's ear that he had chopped all to hell from skin cancer. They then replaced the skin with parts of his chest. It's really lovely. He sure wishes he'd have paid closer attention as a kid. But, he didn't know better then. We all do now. AND, if you didn't even plan on doing it, why the hell ask the question? That seems rude to me. You wasted my time responding the first time and I'm offended. (Enter sarcasm font. That should help with my tone issue.)
While we're busy asking questions about things that we don't really plan on doing, ladies, do you think I should smoke the crack I just bought or wait? It will make ME feel so amazing about myself. Like, amazing. Oh the baby? Well, whatever. It's all about ME, ME, ME!

------QBF----------Totally safe to smoke it. Just make sure your OB doesn't do any drug testing.

She is likely tanning.
