  • Don't ask for advice constantly and never take it. I'm looking at you SIL, whom I generally like but seriously, there is no magic way to get your newborn to not fuss and wake up in the MOTN. Yes they want to be held all the time. And no I don't know how to get your husband who is SICK and has been DOING NIGHT DUTY WITH BABY SINCE SHE WAS BORN to help out more around the house. It's just going to be messy for awhile/ever.

More of a FFFC but whatever.

  • I'm with TJ on decorating being so. Much work. And there are 2 kiddos this year. And it's in the middle of wrestling season where DH is gone all the time. Plus, y'all just reminded me he's getting his wisdom teeth out over winter break too. This sounds like so much fun.....

Unless the snowy winter we had last year affects your day-to-day work. I had numerous days last year where I was stranded at work for 20+ hours. And drove on the treacherous roads to help transport my staff so I could go home. It was not fun

Snow + hot cocoa and snow balm fights- absolutely.
Snow + digging my car out of 3' of snow on my hands and knees on the side of the road- never again, please

  • I agree. I'm over winter after like 4 weeks.

This year we skipped spring. It was sad. Went from snow to lkke heat wave. My favorite time of year is when everything is all green bright and full. So beautiful. Close second is fall and the brightly colored leaves.

Are you talking like arctic circle winter? cuz ok.

But new england - love it!

We lived in Edmonton, Alberta. Not quite the Arctic Circle. But it was damn cold. We needed special antifreeze for our cars. Old timers talked about getting square tires.

Yeah New England is pretty great.
  • Late to the party as usual. Team Stoneycakes here. Love Christmas. Love decorating for it. I do get annoyed with winter that never ends though. If it's not at least averaging 50s by Late April I'm not happy.

My UO- Infinity scarves are weird. You look like you piled a bunch of fabric on to hide your neck. Is this Jr. High and you're hiding a hickey or what?

  • UO: I hate hunting season. This is probably not unpopular for many of you, but I live deep in the heart of deer country where school is canceled and the factories are closed the first day of the season because no one would show up anyway. Archery season is about to start and I'm already sooooo over it. Eta: this up brought to you courtesy of a very annoyed wife who just had every date on her calendar marked as busy by her hunting obsessed husband.
Same, I hate hearing gun shots when I'm at my MIL house.  And I've seen people driving with spot lights on the car to try to scare deer out and shoot them (totally illegal).

  • My wife is from a small rural town where hunting is a big deal (the most recent prom was duck dynasty themed). Her b-day weekend always fell at the start of the deer hunt when she was a kid, so none of the kids could come to her parties. It's one of the reasons we wanted to have a summer baby. That last part might be a FFFC.

  • SAK I was so confused in college when no one showed up the Monday after thanksgiving. And I had never heard the term 10-point before. I was a big ole loser.

I have no idea what any of this means, except for that I assume it's about hunting. I am apparently still a big ole loser.

Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
    It all revolves around you.
  • My husband is from the city where Duck Dynasty is filmed. We lived there for a year after getting married, and my boss made sure I had all the hunting season opening days marked on the calendar.

  • I love hunting season. Time to fill the freezer! DH always brings me home a pizza, breadsticks, and a movie or two. Then heads to the deer lease. He won't hunt on our ranch, but someone else's is fine. Points are how many spikes on the antlers.

You have to turn it on, then once in the app you triple click to turn it on. When you turn it on you can circle things you want to block like menus ect.
