I kind of want to buy the Wolfgang Puck pressure oven I saw on TV this morning, but I'm afraid it's automatically a bad decision because it was a product on an infomercial.

When you saw it were you sleep deprived? Because that totally makes a huge difference in terms of how awesome an infomercial product seems.
Well, so does IQ, but I already know that you're not stupid.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.

Nicest thing ITK has ever said on TB.

Oh...so not sleep deprived, but possibly weakened by morning grogginess? LOL. I was just saying to DH that I would like something for reheating instead of the microwave. We used to not have a microwave at all and, even though it took a little longer, I felt reheating by other methods had much better results.
This is a so called "low pressure oven." Not sure if that's some BS name for it or if it actually uses pressure in the same way as a pressure cooker. Anyway, it's supposed to cook things 70% faster than a conventional oven. I'm intrigued.
Also, I like the idea of having a second oven for times when I'm roasting/baking more than one thing for dinner and they're supposed to be done at different temps.
@Mapleme You never complain about Mr. Maple; I'm kind of relieved to see that he is fallible after all. But I'm sorry he has annoyed you and that logic is being a B this morning.
My UO is that this is my first time watching Dora and it's already getting in my nerves. Can there just be a Mickey Mouse channel? At least I can tune him out.
I like orchestral movie soundtracks. I have two from HP movies.
The Requiem for a Dream soundtrack gives me chills.
I've heard pieces of it on Pandora and it is good! I might have to buy that one.
If you haven't seen the movie, its very good, but it's also a very raw and depressing look at addiction. That's part of the reason the sound track gives me chills, but the music is very good.

The orchestra music to RFAD is fantastic. As is the movie, but definitely hard to watch at times.
My UO is actually sort of a retraction. Last week I stated that I don't like pumpkiny baked goods, because of an incident with some sort of soapy something on a piece of pumpkin bread (this incident did really happen, about seven years ago).
Sheesh, @ovenrack. I said I was sorry! Let it go already! :-p
We have a grocery outlet in our town-I think it works by getting overstock items from grocery stores around here so items are extremely cheap-and not out of date. You can get name brand cereal for about a dollar per box
I LOVE shopping there for certain items. I can buy ten boxes of cereal for super cheap
I'm not mourning the end of summer at all. I'm looking forward to cooler fall days and *squee* decorating for Christmas!
Can you flame UO's? Because this is appalling.
TJ, you live in Texas, do you ever have to mourn the end of summer?
I'm, with Stoney on this one, andI love the fall holidays. But winter here sucks.
I just hate decorating for Christmas. It's SOOOO much work, I refuse to do it before Thanksgiving (because UO: Thanksgiving is the greatest holiday of all time), and we are usually not even in town for Christmas so it seems like such a waste of time. And it takes FOREVER to clean up. But I don't want to be the only house on the block with no lights, and I don't want to deny E childhood memories of Christmas trees and nativities.

I think animal cruelty/abuse/crimes should be punished just as seriously as human-on-human crimes.
I think this is ridiculous.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge animal lover. And I think animal abuse is appalling. But kicking a puppy is just not the same as kicking a baby.
I agree that they are not the same, but I do think that people who abuse animals should be punished and righted in their behavior, just the same as someone who abuses a person would.
I don't understand the fascination with the different kinds of CJs. When would I want my kids diaper area to smell?
This is my issue with Grandma Els. It smells like fruit to me, which is not what I want my kids butt to smell like.
Grandma Els smells like Red Bull to me. I hate it.
Grandma El's smells like the Strawberry Shortcake doll my little sister had back in the 80s.
OMG. I think I know exactly what smell you are talking about! I had that doll, too. Once in awhile I come across a lip balm or something that smells exactly like it. Now I want some Grandma El's, ha!
Re: ~~~UOs~~~
UO: Half a bottle of perfume doesn't cover your cigarette smoke smell, it just makes it worse.
