I can kinda relate on the dishes thing. I try to clean as many as I can while cooking, because I don't enjoy dinner knowing I have to clean up afterwards.

I have started giving DD a bath immediately after dinner so my husband has to do the dishes.

my husband left yesterday and will be gone for 10 days visiting his sister in china. right away, i started hanging all the stuff on the walls we've been "meaning to hang up". i don't care if they're hung wrong (not on a beam), he can move it and fix the hole when he gets back. it's the only way i can ever get anything hung up.

I don't know what good deed I did to deserve this but DS just napped for 2 hours! Never mind that the only reason he stayed that way probably is because I layed next to him in our bed with my boob in his mouth terrified to move. None of the much needed housework got done... but at least I was able to catch up on some bumping and did some ordering of new clothes for myself so I won't look like a disheveled wreck in our family pics next week.

In a similar vein, I am saving the girls' clothes to make quilts for them. Just the really cute items that I loved. Problem is, I love too many! I will be able to make 10 quilts with all I have saved.
