Help dress me because I am clueless

So I got this sweater from target in the oatmeal color-- https://www.target.com/p/mossimo-supply-co-junior-s-boyfriend-cardigan-assorted-colors/-/A-15192931 I'm going to wear it with grey leggings and boots. What color shirt would you wear underneath?

You're definitely going to want a pop of color w/ those neutrals. I'm a big fan of jewel tones and would probably either do a burgundy or a teal underneath.....nice colors for Fall.

I would not pair gray with oatmeal and you better be planning on wearing a long tank underneath or that's just going to look stupid.

I may be weird and I'm definitely not the most fashion-conscious, but I think that would look fine with (dark) grey leggings, and brown boots (I think there's some brown in the buttons?)

If it were me, I'd probably just try it over the tops I have that would lay nice under the sweater to see if any of them work. I'd probably lean toward neutrals like white/cream.

I see no problem with the length whatsoever. I wear that length with leggings all the time.

It's as long as a long tank so you wouldn't really be able to tell if I had a long tank on.

I wouldn't wear that with leggings, but I would wear a jewel tone tank under it with jeans and brown boots. Plus a patterned scarf

<------- wearing a "long" tank right now and it hits just 2 inches below my hips. Not even close to covering my butt. Heck, men's t shirts in XL which are huge on me don't even cover my butt.

You can't be this dense. Same height=\= same build. My dad is 6'5 and wears a 32 inch inseam. My hubby is 6'6 and wears a 36. His aunt that's 6'2 also has a 36 inseam. You could be 2 1/4 inches taller but I may also have a longer torso and/or a larger chest.

If you do an oatmeal sweater, I would buy dark brown leggings with brown knee high boots. It does look like the sweater covers most of the butt

...kids or me I guess. I have literally tried on woman's department pants before and to get the right fit in my hips/bum the leg is very loose. I fit well in a single cut of old navy jeans but that's about it. I also agree that juniors go to 4x, for all shapes and sizes and is nothing brag worthy. I showed an exact picture of what I had and made a joke at my expense, nothing more.

) ) For real, though, according to "What Not to Wear" many neutrals that are traditionally not mixed at all can actually be pulled off so I wouldn't automatically dismiss the gray, though I'd probably want to see what these leggings in question looked like.

Honestly I have a darker shade of grey and a lighter one. Which one would you go for? I was thinking darker but I may be off base.
