:-h It's Tuesday! And all I want for my birthday is.....to stay in bed, In this exact spot. For the entire 24 hrs. Oh an that Pie I've been craving since yesterday.
I am super excited but also nervous. I go in for an induction at 5:00am tomorrow. I am so ready to meet my little girl and hold her but nervous about labor and the big time life adjustment of not having a little one in the house for 12 yrs. please say a little prayer for us that everything goes smoothly tomorrow.
DH cooked dinner last night, so I was cleaning up. I made a comment that it was getting a bit chilly in the house, but that was probably due to the fact that I was barefoot. Of course, DH started laughing and ran to get his camera. On his facebook wall is now a picture of me smiling at the camera, holding a kitchen towel, and being barefoot and pregnant. The caption on the post read "This is why I am going to Hell....." Quite funny to both of us.

I am glad to have gotten into the randoms early today...have an appointment later and may not be able to keep up. Can't wait for my cervical check!!! *sarcasm*
OH and I had a dream last night @Sylessa was in labor! And wanted to make acorn squash...but we had that for dinner so that part makes sense.

I love and hate you for this. I had steady, painful contractions, 11-12 minutes apart, from 2pm until they got down to 8 minutes apart at 10;30 last night. Then they suddenly stopped. Not another single one all night. Acorn squash might have been a good distraction though.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.

It was...we were really into baking that squash. Sorry my dream isn't true! (
I get to join the butt swab club today! I just took a shower so now I am trying to not go to the bathroom til my appointment...I am strange.
Also, last night at my labor and delivery class the instructor said she carried around her hospitol back since 32 weeks...mine isn't even close to being packed yet. Someday soon I suppose I will get on that...
@Ohioloveyou I had a cervical check yesterday and I did't feel a thing!!! I'm a HUGE baby when it comes to anything happening in that area, so I was absolutely shocked. She did say she felt "around" and didn't poke inside the cervical opening because she didn't want to disturb anything, but I was shocked that it was so painless.
Today is my 7 year wedding anniversary! We are putting off the fancy dinner since we have one planned for next weekend, so will be having yummy bananas foster brioche french toast this evening. I can't believe it's been 7 years already. DH has been so wonderful during this whole pregnancy that it has reminded me why I fell in love with him 12 years ago.

My arm is still killing me from my TDAP vaccine the other day and I have surgeries today so that should be interesting.
MH is working nights all this week so I work all day and then am home alone with DS1 all night - MH doesn't get home until almost 10. The only good thing is that I don't have to make dinner tonight since there's still leftover beef stew from yesterday. I'm too tired for this this week
Spent a significant part of last night fighting with DH while we put together our new bed frame... damn man cannot read use instructions worth shit, then gets mad at me for correcting him so that he doesn't break something (which he still managed to anyway). At least I didn't have to sleep on a mattress on the floor again last night.
We've got our final Bradley class tonight and its supposed to be a potluck, but I have put zero thought into this. Any suggestions on what to bring? Preferably something quick, easy, and reasonably healthy. I'll only have maybe 40 minutes to get whatever it is together after work/before class. TIA!

@keelyd Do you have time to go to the Grocery Store? If so, I brought Buffalo Chicken dip to our Bradley classes when we had to supply food. The recipe is on line - it calls for a slow cooker but you can also heat everything up in the microwave if you don't have a slow cooker or if your instructor doesn't have room to keep it plugged in (only takes about an hour to heat up on high once you plug it in). We used our food processor to grind up the cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken from the store) rather than shredding it to make it even easier to assemble.

A few days late but here is the awful hair cut. I feel like she gave me a shaggy bowl cut, this is so far removed from the picture I showed her. At least the color turned out nice! DH woke up and is making us breakfast tacos. Yay! So hungry.
I just realized that the insomnia you all suffer from isn't in your mind (not that I thought it was really)! I haven't slept for more than 1 hour straight for the last week. It wasn't a huge deal the first few nights but now I feel like a walking zombie.
Hopefully this baby will come on her due date or not too long after so at least I can sleep with a snuggly baby!
I posted this in the awards thread, but I want it to get maximum exposure, because I feel very passionately about it:
"I thought last night that we should have a separate
Clickkkki Pole for Favorite Word. Like, a word that was made up on the
boards. Jailspitol is by far not the best one, but it's an example.
Notches should also be there, as well as, well, everything else She Who
Shall Not Be Named ever said. Also Jalopy."
going to bed last night I had a feeling that I should call out of work today, when I woke up this morning I thought I should call out of work today. I didn't call in and now I regret it. But as I was driving I had the radio on, thinking to myself "well if it's bad, I'll tell them I don't feel good and go home." My horoscope comes on "don't make any impulsive decision, you will get in trouble" (or something close to that) now I think if I go home I"m going to get in trouble. Crap! I wish I would learn to listen to my instincts.;
@SPurp13 I like that idea! Weaky face also needs to make the cut.
My random: A male coworker offered me a donut as soon as I got to work this morning, then complimented me on having the "perfect pregnant basketball belly". Pretty good start to my Tuesday. B-)
My nesting urges seem to focus on areas that are pretty low priority. On the bright side, the top of my fridge and the cabinets up there have never looked better.
Speaking of natural induction methods, when I was pregnant with DS I had 3 different people tell me peanut buster parfaits from DQ would induce labor. I of course tried it (after 40 weeks) because, ice cream (weaky face). It didn't work, but it was delicious. Has anyone else ever heard this one before.
@SPurp13 - Finally had my childbirthing class this Saturday. I was as sick as a dog so in between the congestion and blowing of the nose I didn't ask many questions like I intended but the instructor did bring up swaddling. She didn't give much info as to why it's no longer recommended, just said there's been an uptick in SIDS recently and I guess they think it "might" have something to do with swaddling. They recommend swaddling for comfort but not for sleeping. She said to use sleep sacks or place a blanket over baby and tuck the blanket into the sides of the crib to prevent it from moving.

"I didn't know I was pregnant" is on. Yay for guilty pleasures.
@scottysgirl77 - my DH makes fun of me for watching that show and yelling at the women. But yesterday it was on and he caught himself making fun of the woman who said she'd had plenty of sex before and never got pregnant so she assumed she couldn't get pregnant... I was like "SEE!!! It's so hard to not to yell at these morons!" lol

Lawyers, friends of TB, how does that work if I change jobs on leave? It is an internal transfer in my company or it would be I should say.
Congrats on the raise and job offer! That's awesome! Normally an internal transfer won't mess up anything with leave/FMLA, you'd just work out when you change job responsibilities. But I'd ask to be sure, just to be sure.
Re: Tuesday Randoms.
Happy birthday!!!

I don't think you could honestly pay me enough money to give a shit less than I do now...
Il est impossible.
Is H leaving town a natural induction method?
