I do this with Maury but about my family. There's nothing like a bit of Maury to remind me that it could be a lot, lot worse.

  • I'm secretly glad it is supposed to rain at Mister's race I was supposed to spectate with BBG tomorrow. "Sorry! Baby can't hang out in the rain all day!"

  • I ordered a desk and it arrived yesterday so I asked DH to take it upstairs for me because it's too heavy. It's not, I just don't want to carry it up the stairs.

  • @litera take 5 is the bees knees! Perfect salty, sweet, chocolaty mix.
  • DH said he would be home in 20 minutes and DS shit himself. After changing 4 poopy ones already. I left DS in the diaper until DH got home so he could share my joy... Oh look he just pooped!

I'm obessed with @SuperTinkerHam 's gif - when I see it, it's hard to stop watching it.  It never gets old.
Tinks and TexasGirl's sig gifs always get me.
  • DD has a diaper rash that probably merits a trip to the pedi but I haven't taken her, choosing instead to try and clear it up at home (Triple Paste, wiping with only water, hydrocortisone, diaper-free time, etc). The prospect of hauling all three kids 30 minutes each way to the pedi and paying the $20 co-pay for him to tell me to just keep doing what I'm doing isn't at all tempting.

If it isn't going away, it could be a yeast infection. Try some athlete's foot cream before you put on the diaper cream.

I didn't have enough dairy free chocolate chips for the cookies I made, so I put some in that contain milk. Poor DS was sooooo gassy and fussy all night, yet I still ate two more of the damn cookies today. I need to purge the house of all things dairy because I have no willpower.
  • My dh is sleeping. I'm resisting every urge to slap him.

This may or may not be convenient but, have you thought of an at home trainer? Someone who comes to the house and trains them with you one on one. Your DH may not be on board but, maybe you could get the job done with paid help?

Whatever you do, don't pull a funnibunni ;)

Just my .02, but if your DH isn't willing to even let them out to relieve or crate them, extra training won't do much good. Training is not really about the dog's behavior. It's establishing or changing a relationship between dog and person. Dogs do what they are allowed to do. You can't change dog behavior without changing people behavior. Without a willingness to change on your DH's end, I personally, wouldn't pay for additional training.

Sorry you are having to think about giving your dogs up!
I agree! Dh and I had talked about it before. He wasn't excited about it(neither am I) but said it was a possibility. Today I asked my dad and his wife if they'd take them even if it was only for a couple months until things adjusted here....my dad lives on a farm and his wife has never had kids and if one of those people that just adore animals. When I tried to talk to dh about it he screamed no that he wouldn't even consider it and that was it. He said he'd take over taking care of the dogs completely. Well now he's asleep on the couch and guess who has to take care of the dogs....didn't even last 2 hours. Oh and we live in a tiny town house and I haven't been able to walk them much lately(not enough that it counts as exercise) my dad has a huge farm where they could run and play! I'm so upset! I don't even know what tho do!

Wake him up and tell him to show you that he is serious about taking care of them, otherwise he needs to talk with you about other options. It is just too much if a burden on you right now.

I love our cat dearly, she will always be my fur baby. But she throws up every day and often at night, often in my bed, waking me up as I rush to mitigate the damage. When DS1 was little she went to live with a relative for a while, until he started sleeping longer and I could handle the extra care and nighttime disturbances. She is at my FIL's again now.

  • My toddler HATES having his ears cleaned. I told him there were bugs in his ears and I had to clean them out. Now he asks for me to clean them at least once a day. I've probably traumatized him for life, but at least he has clean ears.

My DD loves when I clean her ears. Sometimes she'll find a bobby pin and try to stick it in her ear. I don't know how she thinks a bobby pin and qtip looks the same. It freaks me out though

  • FFFC: I'm giving major side-eye to those of you whose babies are close to STTN. Last night we had epic wake ups at midnight, 2, 4, 7, and then I foolishly though I could sleep but no, the trend continued. Baby eating every 2 hours all. Day. Long. His lunch time alone lasted 2 solid hours. My boobs are so sore and angry. Man, I love my baby but I feel annoyed mostly at the insane cluster feeding today.

  • I have a moby and a ring sling and I love those for when they are little. When they can hold their head up I like to wear them on my back in the boba. I am obsessed with my boba air, it's around $70 and folds up into a pocket and I can throw it into the diaper bag. Hope that helps!
