My first client of the day no-showed. The second is a total creeper and I'm questioning going there alone. Today could be a long day.
We have a showing at the house tonight at 6:30, which means I don't have to cook dinner. Yay!
I have not cooked dinner yet this week my mom stayed until Wednesday morning so we had takeout Monday, out to dinner for her birthday and DS's Tuesday and we have been squeezing the party leftovers into as many meals as possible so that was dinner yesterday. I wonder if I can get out cooking again tonight...
DH and I have officially booked our anniversary/football trip to New Orleans in December!!!! I'm so excited I can't stand it!!! I will have to leave my 6 month old nursling for 3 days but I think it will be all right. We desperately need a trip away and I can't wait to see the Saints play in the Superdome (I've seen them play in Charlotte before and we're going to the Saint game in Charlotte in Ocrober)!!
Maybe this is my FFTC. I only cook dinner once a week. Thursday nights DH is in a bowling league, so I am stuck with dinner. I'm not that great at it, and we always get home late, so it's usually breakfast for dinner! (and have I ever mentioned that I have an amazing husband?)
I have been really struggling with my new boss this year and feeling like I'm always getting negative feedback. I honestly worried that she thought I sucked because she pushes me so hard.
I think I dropped enough not-so-subtle hints about not knowing if I'm doing a good job and feedback. She's been super positive in the last month and actually commented this morning about how she'll be the first to complain when something doesn't go right - so she wanted to thank me for being proactive to make sure that things go smoothly (and therefore usually unnoticed).
I need days like today to remind me why I love my job.
I got a second job at a bar/restaurant across the street from my house and I start training next Tuesday. I have no idea how I'm going to have time/ energy for it and get everything done for the kids and at home. So much anxiety....
@beebopandbuddy you are super woman. You went to school and worked and now you're taking on a second job? And your day job sounds stressful to me with your crazy clients and such. Seriously, you are amazing.
I have seriously been sick for 3 weeks straight and need a weekend with no events to get shit done. I need to do laundry, do a major costco run, etc. and we have a freakin' event/party to go to every weekend for the next 3 weeks, ugh. I want to hole up in my house and clean/organize.
I told Dh we need a cleaning lady as of Jan 1, no ifs ands or buts, I can't keep up!

We have eaten party leftovers every night this week. Tonight, the grandparents are bringing over pizza. Score.

Thank you. I think I must be crazy. The second job is only through Christmas. I'm counting down the days and I haven't even started yet, lol.
Someone just commented on one of my Facebook friend's picture. Her kid's names (not my friend, the commenter) are Madis.zon and Tis.zon. Yay for random Zs.
DH went to an allergist in Tuesday about his EoE and has to cut out all yeast. In any form. Apparently, yeast is in EVERYTHING! So now basically all he can eat is meat that's fresh and not preserved or aged or had anything added to it, and cooked vegetables (because he's allergic to fresh vegetables). I've cooked more in the past two week than I ever have. The good news is that we'll all be eating a whole lot healthier!!
He can also have rice and a few other things, but meat and veggies are the safest bets.

Yikes! I've never heard of EoE. Is this a forever thing, or is there some sort of treatment?
I am trying to do research on credit cards. We need a credit card that offers rewards for DH to use for his business and pay off at the end of each month. Any suggestions?
Also, I got AF yesterday. I think I am going to give up charting and using OPK's and just see what happens this month. I keep telling myself I need to see my doctor, but then I realize I am over reacting. I guess it scared me when they couldn't get my IUD in. I keep thinking something might be wrong.

The EoE (Eosiniphillic Esophagitis) is a chronic autoimmune disease that treats food as a foreign invader. DH also has a preliminary allergy panel done and had a high reaction to yeast. The allergist made it seem like the yeast elimination was permanent but from our own googling, we're finding that he may only have to do it for 6 weeks to cleanse his body of an overgrowth and then just limit his yeast consumption. He goes back in a week and then goes to another allergist in October. He has so many doctors now, it's crazy!

Wow. Good luck! I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Hope it goes well! I am sure there are things you won't be able to balance as well as with one job, but you'll do a great job figuring it out.

Thank you. I think I must be crazy. The second job is only through Christmas. I'm counting down the days and I haven't even started yet, lol.
My friend has already finished her Christmas shopping. I kind of enjoy the Christmas rush and doing it all last minute. One or both of us is completely crazy.

I love our Capital One card. I usually cash in for gift cards, but there's a cash back or travel option too.

I like shopping when the stores are decorated and there is Christmas music playing. I just couldn't do it this early.

It's way too early for me to start. I don't like a last-minute rush, but I do like it to be post-Thanksgiving, at least for most of it.
I need to accessorize more. Last week, I wore a chunkier necklace for the first time in my life and literally got more than a dozen compliments on it. And I felt instantly more pulled together. Time to shop ;-) I feel like this will probably require @hmp1's help or the chart I've seen on Pinterest before about what necklace styles work with which necklines.
Nancy has been the shittiest eater ever over the last week and my DH is making me crazy over it. "Nancy. Can you please take a bite of x,y, or z for me please?" "No? well how about I go and make you x,y or z instead?" SHE'S 2! STOP GIVING HER 3 CHOICES AND THEN MAKING A NEW MEAL!
Today she picked out lunch. Ham & an apple with some carrots. Fine. That's a good lunch. Then she refuses to eat anything but the apple. I asked her 3 times to take a bite of ham, then I sent her to nap without B or Moosie (2 favorite stuffies) and listened to her scream for 10 minutes. Last night it was cucumbers, tomatoes and chicken, another 3 of her favorite things and she refused them all. I'm over it. The kid doesn't want to eat, fine. But then we're not having snacks. It's not like I'm serving her liver and onions. Everything I make is stuff that she likes. She's just acting like a crazy person.
I think I did 95% of my Christmas shopping online last year and I'm thinking it will be the same this year. I made the boys list yesterday and pretty sure everything except the guitar will get purchased online. I have two ideas for DH that will both be online purchases too. I do like to wait until closer to Christmas to buy so I don't just keep buying more things.
It has been our tradition to go out on Black Friday since i was in college. it started as my mom and i but expanded to my brother as well. However its not quite as crazy anymore since the stores open early. We wanted to take my brother so he got that crazy "you need to smack an old lady with a handbag over the last sweater" kind of experience. but alas last year we got a front parking spot and there was no line at Starbucks for lattes....
I do like to wait until closer to Christmas to buy so I don't just keep buying more things.
If I started shopping for gifts now, I wouldn't stop until Christmas. I'm already ridiculous on Christmas gifts, if I started months ahead of time, it would be worse.
This year, thanks to building a new house, I'm putting myself on a (tight) budget. We'll see how well that works.
Yesterday I got a FB email from my FIL's ex-wife. They were divorced around 13? 14? years ago? Anyway, she emails me (she's friends with DH's ex wife, who I am also friends with on FB) and says "Dear Marisa, back when our family fell apart, Tim loaned me some money. I am now financially able to pay him back. Can you please send me your address so I can send out a certified check? This has always weighed on my mind, and I'm sure with your expanding family you could use the money."
Told DH about it. DH never lent her money. Come to find out through the longest conversations ever with a specialist at Chase today that DH's Dad took his nuc school bonus & his submarine back pay and gave it to the step Mom while they were going through their divorce because he was POA on his accounts while my DH was in the Navy. DH is very, very, very angry. This whole time he thought it was his ex-wife who took the money. Turns out it was his loser dad.
I am almost half done with Christmas shopping and I anticipate that between Zulily free shipping, Amazon Prime and Target Red Card, almost all of the rest will occur online.
I have not even begun to think about Christmas gifts. I won't shop until November at the earliest! We won't be home for Christmas so she won't get anything big. It will have to be something portable!
I'm so excited for the food at Quinn's party. I can't wait to eat ALL of it. And it will taste that much better since I don't have to do any of the work!
My house is a mess. I need to do so much cleaning before her party and I have zero energy.

I refuse to make extra meals, and I'm with you on the snacks. I try to offer healthy, well-balanced foods I know the kids like. If they choose to be picky, not my problem for that meal.
So we came to the conclusion today at my OB appointment that all my breathing and heart racing problems are related to anxiety. I'm sure you're all shocked. I don't know why I'm taking it so hard for a dr to tell me that. Especially when I'm the one that brought it up. I've been crying all day about it. She doesn't want to medicate me this late in pregnancy, but has an rx ready for the day I deliver. I can't wait, but I can't stop crying about it either. I'm a mess.
Hey, you brought it up! That's really a good thing! :-) It's not like you're going to be on this for the rest of your life...you just have to get back to feeling like you again. That might be in 2 weeks, it might be in 6 months, who knows. Either way, getting help is nothing to be sad about. I know you know that, and it's just the principle of it, but I felt like I should remind you that you're doing great by taking the first step.
I can't seem to spend less than $200/week on groceries. It includes dog food, alcohol, toiletries and household cleaners, but still. That means we spend almost as much on groceries as our mortgage, and I meal plan, shop at walmart and use coupon.com. I don't want a lifestyle change.
Also, I'm jealous of everyone who eats out all the time. We just got back from vacation and only ate out during the drive up and back. Feeding a family of 3.5 is harder than I feel like it should be.
Both dresses that I ordered from Boden went back. They were just SO unflattering. I'm jealous of people who can shop with ease online and have clothes fit well. I need to try everything on.
I got the nexplanon implant on Tuesday, and my arm now looks as if I were bitten by a vampire with one fang. I'll be looking hawt at my cousin's wedding on Saturday.
I'm currently panicking, because I'm fairly sure that 75% of my clothes were stolen from the parts warehouse at the dealership that we've been using to store things while we move. I had everything packed neatly in bins, and they're gone. H thinks they were misplaced. I'm not quite sure how we could misplace giant Rubbermaid bins filled with clothes.
