I'm so sorry to hear this. I am wondering if it's possible it could still be the mosaic form? It seems like by now you would be seeing other problems if it were full trisomy 16. I don't know enough about the condition and the possiblity of testing error to really say. I just hope that things continue to develop normally and you get good news soon. Lots of thoughts and prayers to you, your family and the baby.

Heavenly Father, I lift this family and this child up to you in the name of Christ Jesus. Lord, please work in a mighty way and heal this baby. I ask that your Holy Spirit descend and bring peace and strength to this family and help them to feel your mighty hand at work. Father, no matter how your will unfolds, I pray that this family is drawn into a closer relationship with you and come to know your grace and love in a way they never have before. I ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

What did the doctor say the next steps were?

It is very unlikely that the baby have the full T16 and make it into the 2nd trimester (which is where I'm at..19 weeks) but, although it is rare, some do make it through the second trimester and some even make it up to the 3rd, but ultimately they can't survive in the end cause of the full T16. So, at some point they don't make it. Hoping that's not the case. Doc says he's running further tests for more cells to try and find any normal cells from the Amnio. Praying that they find them. Then I will have a mosacism diagnosis instead and would breathe a small sigh of relief.

A friend of mine from college has a little boy with 15q24 microdeletion syndrome. There are only about 30 cases of it. He will be 2 in December. He has had many obstacles in his 2 years but he has overcome them with a smile on his face. If you are interested, she has a blog called "My Journey with Jude".
