I am so unbelievably relieved and happy and ecstatic and elated to tell you all an update. The doc called me yesterday morning and said they found normal cells in the second sample they ran of the amniotic fluid!!! This means we can now medically say this is mosaicism trisomy 16!!!!! Which to most people who don't know sounds awful, but to someone who had full trisomy 16 as the diagnosis before, it is music to my ears! I know that this doesn't mean everything will be normal now, or that this pregnancy is suddenly 100% fine, it just means we have a survival rate MUCH higher than 0%!!!! With the full trisomy 16 diagnosis rather than the Mosaic trisomy 16 (which we have now) we were told our baby GIRL would just never make it!!!! Yes! That's right! It's a girl!! The bottom line is, I will do everything I can to get her here as happy and healthy as possible! But I'm no longer viewed by the medical world as some ticking time bomb they're all just waiting to explode! I have a survival rate and a fighting little survivor for a little girl!!! She's a strong, stubborn little one and seems to have no clue there are abnormalities in the cells floating all around her! She still looks perfect on the ultrasounds! Even better: I keep feeling her move!!! Thank you all for your extra kind words and prayers and thoughts! I can keep looking forward to bringing this little girl home!
Woo hoo! That's great news. She's one heck of a little fighter. It's going to be tough to find a name that fits that kind of tenacity you have my continued T&Ps.

I know exactly how you feel...and I really mean that. Your post just brought tears to my eyes. I am due in April and our little girl has been diagnosed with mosaic trisomy 18. It's a glimmer of hope that we need, isn't it? Please keep me posted on your baby girl! Sending thoughts and prayers your way!
Big big hugs and prayers. Im so sorry you are going through this. My son had full trisomy 18 and i know exactly how you feel. You can pm me of you need to talk. There are also several trisomy support groups on Facebook that are very helpful and hopeful.
