Hi, everybody! Welcome
to first tri check-in. This board is for those of
us who want to stay in the
safety of the PgAL board yet still have first tri questions, concerns,
or fears. We
have had a number of new BFPs on the main board (yay!) this week and if
you
would like to join in our check-in, please do so! We have also had a number of TTCAL graduates (extra yay!). If you
aren't tagged in this post, please feel free to join!

QoTW: What has been the most surprising thing about being pregnant? What has been the worst thing? The best thing?
The next few days are busy for me, so it may take a little longer for me to respond.
Roll Call (based on who answered last week) And I so apologize if I have accidentally omitted anyone!:
@kefttsc I read your post about people touching your belly. My sister does that to me. She is near about the only person I would let get away with that. I'm pretty frightening looking so I haven't had a stranger do it this pregnancy or last. Have you decided the best way to handle it?
@racegurl87 How was your appointment? How is the m/s?
@kate6214 How was your repeat blood work? How has it been with your students returning? May I ask what grade?
@christia10 How are your weekly appointments going? How is your pgal brain doing?
@lalalady54 How are you doing? Have you scheduled any appointments? How is your pgal brain doing?
@amanda33758 How are you feeling about your appointment Friday? How are your boobs feeling? Is that you with the blond hair in your profile pic? I really like that haircut. I mean, even if that isn't you, I like the haircut. I need to chop mine off again, it looks awful medium length.
@backstreetpixie How are you feeling?
@Yaz14 How did your Thursday appointment go? How is your bum? How is your pgal brain?
@nohalo21 I was/am so happy about your a/s scan. How are you feeling now that you got through it? Have your pgal brains calmed at all?
@MoreThanSparrows08 Yay on your a/s! Congrats on Team Blue! How are you feeling now that you have passed the a/s?
@hweise85 How are you feeling? How is your pgal brain treating you?
@BrittainyM How are you doing? Have your symptoms picked up at all?
@chickinNH How are you feeling about your second u/s? How is the m/s? Were you on medication for it before?
@mpiemont Yay for great betas! How are you feeling now that you have those numbers? Are you able to enjoy your pregnancy more now? The night before you announced on PgAL, I was on TTCAL and I happened to chart stalk you and I was all, "Oh, she is pregnant!" Your chart was almost identical to mine when I got my positive. I am not sure why I am telling you that, but it made me smile when I saw your announcement the next day.
@boxermamax2 How are you doing? How are you feeling? I hope you are able to take good care of yourself while dealing with your mom's passing.
@mandi195 Are you having a u/s tomorrow or just a regular OB appointment? How are you feeling? Is it hard or easy for you to announce to people?
@sllinge How are you feeling? Have your symptoms stayed consistent or gotten better or worse? How was it getting through last week?
@akleng How are you doing as you approach your EDD? Have you decided how to spend that day? I will be thinking of you and sending T&PS.
@lorifromwi All ready for your 16 week check up? How did your interview go?
@discouraged31 How are you feeling about your u/s tomorrow? Have you begun to have symptoms?
@mommy0411 What is your EDD? How did your firs appointment go?
@jlovesky How did your u/s go? I have Fx that everything went great!
@Megdowntheshore How are your symptoms? How did your u/s go? What grade do you have (teach?) in school? How is school going?
@maisonduchoco2 How is your vomiting? I'm hoping that you haven't had any more episodes. You only have to wait until Thursday for your u/s, right? How are you feeling about that?
@pblge How did your scan go? How are your symptoms? Are they still inconsistent? That would drive me batty!
@Hailsmom How are you doing? Have you scheduled your a/s?
@BananaBoat05 Only one week until your u/s? How are you holding up? How are you doing with your approaching EDD? Have you planned anything for that day?
@heathersf11 What was your last beta results? Were you able to schedule with your OB?
@momtosam How did you appointment go? How did you like your OB? How is the m/s?
@shandorfml2 How are you doing? I am so happy that baby caught up a bit with what you thought! Again, I am sorry for all that your family is going through right now. We are all here for you.
@tigerlily2015 How was your u/s last week? I'm still so impressed that you have that free service in your town.
@danielle1290 How was your appointment today? How was the u/s?
@arschm02 Have the nightmares stopped? I hope so, they sound awful.
@lakerschen I'm glad that you have an appointment scheduled. How are you doing/feeling?

Re: First Trimester Check-in (9/8)
Worries (rational or irrational): that this is going to end in a missed miscarriage. I dread it almost constantly, I try to just not think about it, but I can't. It's awful.
Appointments scheduled: July 25, @7w4d which is 1 day before my last baby stopped developing so I'm quite nervous. It will be my first real appointment with my peri (MFM) here, since we moved after my last pregnancy. I met this dr on the day of my MMC but he essentially only told me my baby had no heartbeat and sent me to my OB for my D&C. So I'm hoping my next encounter with him is significantly better!
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates: if I can make it 3 more weeks I will be past when last baby stopped developing! (However we didn't find out till a couple weeks later- so I think my brain will be crazy until we pass the 12 week mark or until baby is home with me)
QoTW: What has been the most surprising thing about being pregnant? What has been the worst thing? The best thing?
I'm not surprised by much except how ravenously hungry I become in the first tri. Worst is the fear, best is knowing I'm growing a tiny little human being.
@footprint thanks for the check-in. I've been so worried I've been slightly distant from the bump.
EDD/Week/Fruit 12w2d
Worries (rational or irrational) just my upcoming appt and the possibility of sharing the news. It makes me so nervous that I will have to tell people that I'm pregnant
Appointments scheduled: Friday is my 12w appt
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates hopefully we will be hitting 2nd tri :-)
QoTW: What has been the most surprising thing about being pregnant? What has been the worst thing? The best thing? Omg most surprising this is I didn't know my boobs could get bigger than they are. The worst thing is gas I can out my DH to shame. The best thing though is how lovey my DH is being to me :-)
2/9/15 so 18 weeks today - makes little man a sweet potato (where did TB come up with that as a fruit?)
@footprint: A/S is a week from tomorrow.
Oct 2nd is when I got my BFP with my last pregnancy and then the 28th was when I lost it.
Surprising: How fast this pregnancy is going. I can't believe I am pretty much at the half way point.
Worst: dealing with PGAL and the pregnancy side effects hitting so much harder and sooner this time.
Best: finding out we are having a little boy. My family has only had girls born into it for the past 5 generations, so I never expected to actually be having a boy.

Are you having the Verifi blood taken tomorrow, or are you getting the results? Either way, I hope everything goes great.
Do you have anything planned for your EDD?
Edited because apparently reading and comprehension aren't my thing:
I see that you are having the Verifi test ordered tomorrow. How long do you have to wait for the results?

I have never really believed in jinxing until my loss. It's so weird how convinced I became about jinxing during TTC and being pregnant. I'm really trying hard to convince myself that jinxing doesn't exist and it has become easier the farther along that i have gotten, but I still find myself doing it a little. I hope it becomes easier for you too.
Wow. 7th graders. You must be a saint. I couldn't do it. The smell alone...

I'm sorry that your EDD is tomorrow. How are you feeling about it? Do you have anything planned? I hope it isn't too difficult for you.
I hope that time flies and your u/s appointment is here before you know it! Congrats again!

I'm sorry about the headaches. That sounds awful! I hope that Friday's appointment is fantastic. Will you have an u/s? Why are you worried about sharing the news?

EDD/Week/Fruit
4-5-15/10w1d/ prune or cherry
Worries (rational or irrational)
I have not been nausiated for 2 weeks and that makes me feel like something is wrong. But i have other symptoms so maybe I am fine and over analyzing it. Lol every woman in may fmaily was sick the while time though!
Appointments scheduled
Tommorrow (or today if you read this tuesday)
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
Nothing for a little while now
QoTW: What has been the most surprising thing about being pregnant? What has been the worst thing? The best thing?
Surprising- shouldn't i be vomiting?
Worst- PgAL brain
Best- pampering from hubby
EDD/Week/Fruit
April 4th/10w3d/prune
Worries (rational or irrational)
My symptoms are becoming less intense. I know that's most likely because I'm nearing 2nd tri but I can't help but be a tad worried. My boobs especially feel almost normal (although they are definitely way bigger!)
Appointments scheduled
I need to get a nuchal blood test over the next few days. That's not technically an appointment though as I can just walk in so I'll do it when I find the time. It has to be done before Saturday. I then have my NT scan scheduled for the 25th.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
None just yet.
QoTW: What has been the most surprising thing about being pregnant? What has been the worst thing? The best thing?
The most surprising is how quickly it's gone by. I'm almost in 2nd tri and it seems like just yesterday I got my BFP. The worst thing has been trying to keep it a secret. At this point I am so ready to tell everyone! Also I know I've put on a noticeable amount of weight and although I'm not complaining I wonder if people are thinking "I wonder if she's pregnant or just fat?" Lol. Oh an I can't not mention the morning sickness! Although to some degree I love it because it confirms I'm still pregnant it also makes life kind of hard, especially my work life. It's also very sporadic. The best thing? I know it sounds cheesy but just knowing that I'm making a human being who I will care for and love and who will depend on me is just so special. It's a very warm, fuzzy kind of thing!
I'm not sure where the Bump comes up with these fruit. I am pretty sure that a sweet potato is tuber. What the hell is a dorian fruit?
Married August 2003
I have a hard time believing that 2 is harder than 1 since I find having 1 so, so hard! I'm not sure how you do it!

The food issue is bizarre. The want to eat it all at the same time as being repulsed by it all is just such a bizarre feeling.

This pregnancy is so much worse for me, symptom wise, too. I'm not sure why, but I am thinking it has to do with age.
