@Emnob28 I just made my own crib skirt with no-sew iron strip stuff. Super duper easy and surprisingly durable. It could be a consideration if you, like me, don't have a sewing machine...

I think they have no sew curtain tutorials out there too. Purple curtains are impossible to find. I was quite frustrated for a bit!
I keep reading and posting here instead of on December board...wonder if that's a sign....

HBH that light switch really makes the room! :-)
Srsly you have some nice pieces in there.
I was hoping DH and I could start on a dresser for LO, freeing up his changing table/ bins for LO2, sanding and staining outside, but the weather forecast is looking like yet another gross day.
Darn it! Maybe I'll just shop for new crib bedding and curtains (and switch plate) online instead! :!!
Thanks! The crib and changing table/dresser were hand-me-downs from my SIL & BIL. The big brown chair is from our living room set, but we've never really had a good place to have it downstairs, so it moved upstairs. More cute things coming to go with that fancy light switch plate cover soon!
N14 January Siggy Challenge - What Sucks About Work
So excited! the room is almost done. I am going to put the words "Oh the Places You'll Go!" over the bed along with a hot air balloon decal. And under the hot air balloons in the corner will be our glider. We just built this house about 5 months ago and the nursery will be the only room that is actually finished lol. Oh well

@Singingmama10 We bought the same crib and dresser but in white! I still haven't set mine up yet - glad to see it looks super cute!! Love the balloons!!
Everyone has done such a great job!!! We have gone with a sports theme for our DS. I still have some more cosmetic things to do in the room. I have a shelf I need to paint and put up above the change table and need to paint the chest at the end of the crib. And I want the hang something on the empty wall by the glider and shelf. And his name is going above the baseball bat, but since we are keeping that a secret from family we are waiting to put it up. Oh and the cupboard door needs to be put on the change table.
I am having a mini panic attack now...our crib isn't built and we still have boxes from our early summer move stored in the nursery. All that's "set up" is a recliner and a bookcase. I'm scurred! Have to get on hubby to start the room this weekend....luckily we still have about a month 'til the shower, so we can hopefully have it clear and ready by then...

Throwback: Hubby and I on our first date (Nov 2007), and then again on our wedding day (Nov 2012)
Thanks @runningmama14. @scarlet3egonias MH put them together about a month ago and said the crib assembly was really easy, but the dresser was bit more of chore. We're really happy with them though . I like that the dresser isn't super long.
@Singingmama10
I saw that the reviews on Amazon said that the crib was easy as pie. The BRU reviews for the dresser - not so much. My husband read them and was like "I think we're going to have to pay your brother to do this" lol! I'm happy as long as it gets done!
Ours is pretty well set! My mom we a huge help. She came for a weekend and helped hang all of the pictures, and get all of the boxes of guest room/office stuff up to the attic. Still some straightening up to do, but mostly done!
It's kind of quirky, but it fits DH and my personality/style more than a pintrest worthy nursery.

Finally started here too. Have to put the finishing lines on the argyle wall, touch-ups and paint the closet and baseboards. Wall colors are kinda weird in the picture...sky blue, pea green and sunny yellow. The dotted line to do on the argyle will be red. Was really excited when we were able to match the paint damn near exactly to the crib bedding. Here's DD helping "paint" the carpet
Everyone has beautiful nurseries! So far I have a crib and curtains up.
Still hunting for a dresser and what to hang on the walls. The crib
mattress comes in on Thursday, can't wait!
Loving all the shower themes going. Well I'm just starting my nursery now that I know that I'm having girls. My dad's coming to build a closet but so far we have painted the wall (salmon pink yay!) and my husband installed the girls' cribs and I took one if our night tables from our room which ended up being a perfect match! Input just the lamp out to show how all the colors will come together. the changing table has to be put together and the wall decal, curtains and valances come next week. Excited to finally start. Aiming to finish most of this in 2 weeks before I go on maternity leave.
Lots of progress on the twins nursery. its definitely coming together. Still have a few finishing touches but overall I'm happy with it so far. As stated earlier I wanted more of an elegant theme rather than the forest friends theme I did with DS room.
I made the wall art myself, not happy with the safety hook things, think I'll cover them with ribbon or something, but the fabric is the same as the crib skirt that MIL made for us! Also made the baby blocks - pretty easy actually!
I hope all of these attach correctly, mobile bumping...
We did a Dr. Seuss theme in the nursery. I wanted a book theme. I sewed all the fabric this summer while I was. I painted the wall art too. DH was kind enough to repaint my childhood dresser for DD to use in her room. I'm currently working on a child size quilt using different Dr. Seuss fabric for when her crib becomes a toddler bed.

Adorable! How did you do the blocks?
Got the wood blocks at Michael's for .99 each. Painted them using acrylic paint (also from Michael's, 3.99). Then hot glued scrap book paper (already had) and paint chips (from Home Depot/free!) on all 6 sides. Used modge podge to seal it. Lastly, used white wood letters (from Michael's, 2 per pack/ $1.99 each) and hot glued them on!
Took a few hours but was super easy and I'm happy with how they turned out!
The lighting in her room hates my phone but oh well. Loving how it is all finally coming together. Only have to go pick up the glider and we are all finished!
Thank you @mslynn2012 I have only heard the name Kenna 1 other time. She is (sort of) being named after my dad Kenneth. I reused picture frames that I made for my wedding. I have like 30 of them. I really surprised myself with this nursery. I hope I pay this much attention for kid #2 and keep it even lol
Our Pirate theme is coming along! We have to put the decals on the walls, and hang some of the other items. I finished up the crib last night! (yes...I know there are bumpers and a quilt in there - but there won't be a baby for 7 and 1/2 more weeks...)

Very cool idea!
