@kella0708 one of my first choices for girls name is similar, Sofia Ann.
(Everyone has been saying it's a girl) so my BF is CONVINCED that since/if our first child is a girl, that it will be his first born, his first daughter, his little princess and daddy's girl so because of that he obviously gets to name her. We get into screaming matches over this. I suggested the name Mia at one point, he "fell in love", and is now adamant that our daughters name will be Mia Rose L. (Italian last name). I like the name, however, my name is Marissa, my childhood nick name is "Mimi". Most of my family, close friends, and little kids call me Mimi. So I feel that Mia is too similar to my name, and I don't want to name a child after myself or my SO. I'm also afraid people will start to call her "Mimi" and that would just be confusing. But my BF will not give up on this fight. :-<
My top girls names are, Sofia Alexandria Lucianna / Lucia Adriana Alessia Valentina
Middle names : Ann, Lucia, Rose, Rosalie.
No boys names as of yet lol will most likely be something of Italian, possibly Hispanic, origin. (Both our backgrounds)
@kellbell1982 My Irish husband is Shawn. His parents purposefully went with the phonetic version because hey! It was the 70's! I prefer the traditional spelling Sean. But either way works, it's not like you're going overboard and trying Shwayne or something.
@kellbell1982 My husbands name is Shaun and is constantly misspelled. I love Sean over Shawn
@Skrittens at least someone likes one of my names haha! I love it too! I think it's so pretty, and matches either one of our Italian last names. And at one point my BF loved that name too.

Any input??? haha
I think Mia is a short name in itself so she would probably just be called Mia. I love that name btw!!!
We have Bianca Addison for girl and Jesus Domingo for boy. I strongly dislike the boy name, but it's my husbands name and if it is a boy he has asked for him to be named after him. We already have 3 daughters so I guess I can let him have his boy name.
@chajak@TikTak thank you ladies! I do like the name Mia, I think it's such a simple, pretty name, but idk. for some reason I feel like one day I'll regret not picking one of the names I'm more in love with (Lucianna/Lucia, Alexandria, Sofia)
We can't agree at all! For a girl I like and he said he would consider Autumn Rose but he hates all the boy names I love so can see this baby being nameless for a while!
My mother texted me the other day and said "here is a beautiful name for you in case it's a girl... Christina Aguilera named her baby Summer Rain". Yes mom, it's a lovely name... for a douche!!! My kids have fairly traditional names- this is the prime example of why I don't ask people their opinions.
DH was a Samantha, Britney, or Stephanie. I say definitely not. I like Sophia Grace, Mia Alise (or Mia Faith). I also like Natalia, Talia (or with a y), Aubrey, Audrey. We have really only thought about girl names. We are having twins so I am also deciding if we want names that go together or not. For boy names something Hispanic or biblical Isaac, Isaiah, Christian, Benjamin, Gabriel, Jacob, Joseph, Josiah, or Micah.
We are thinking Milo Alexander for a boy and Raven Victoria for a girl. I just realized that if we have a boy his initials will spell man. We might be going back to the drawing board, again.
Love seeing all the Mae names it's my middle name and my aunts, and will be this baby's middle name if it's a girl.
We have a Thomas Carlo and Vincenzo Anthony so were trying to stay the Italian/traditional route. For a boy were currently set on Rocco Salvatore, I love the name Enzo but it's too similar to Vincenzo.
For a girl we've gone in the other direction. Currently were thinking Aubriella Mae or Brooklyn Mae. We love Brooklyn but are hesitant with how trendy it is right now. I also love Olivia and Genevieve (and call her evie) but dh shot those two down.
@chajak@TikTak thank you ladies!

I love lucianna and would have chosen it ourselves if our dog wasn't named Lucy. So my vote is for that one for you!
We have girl first name decided and boy middle name decided. And we will not be sharing. We do have decoy names, however: Benjermyn Branding and Chevron Raleigh.
Those are hilarious! I had to do a double take I thought you were serious for a second there
@crunchymamaof2 my FIL would love you. His name is Vincenzo and he was campaigning hard for baby to be named after him citing respect, tradition, honor. It was too much and I started to resent. Relieved it's a girl so we are off the hook! My H's name is Salvatore. Are we all related?! Felt a little pressure to name after my MIL, Maria, but have put my foot down. I am Mexican and in my opinion the world has PLENTY of Marias. Not happening!
Able Duncan for a boy, Joanna or Mallory (middle name Margaret, for DH's mother that passed right after we married last year) for a girl.
I love Mallory, but our last name begins with M. So...MMM as the initials. I weirdly don't like that.
Are you going for Abel as in the name, or able as in "I don't think I'll be able to go."? If you're going for the actual name, which I hope you are, I really like it better spelled correctly.

Lol! Our first son is a IV. We considered Salvatore as a first name but just didn't roll off the tongue when yelling it in anger I'm not Italian whatsoever but my husband is all Italian. All the Italian girl names we like are too common.
I have to ask- for those that are choosing "unique" spelling, why? My mother named me Alycia instead of Alicia, and while as an adult I like my name, as a kid it was torture. No one knew how to pronounce it (still don't) and I could never get the damn pencils or keychains with my name.

I always wonder the same thing. While the name my family calls me -- Harper, my birth middle name -- is popular now, when I was growing up it sucked. I never got any keychains or pencils, and everyone thought my name was Parker because apparently they've never read To Kill a Mockingbird.

Yes, I am going for Abel. Fucking autocorrect...I didn't even notice until you posted that.

If autocorrect tries to make me say 'ducking' one more fucking time, I'm gonna throw my phone into a wall. HOW OFTEN DO I TEXT 'DUCKING'?
We are having twins, and have made some progress in the name department. For two girls we are thinking Mia Faith and Sophia Grace. For boys??? For one of each???
