September 18th i hit third trimester (28 weeks)! I only have one more doctor appt before they start seeing me every other week instead of once a month! When my dr told me that, i had an "oh shit" moment. Once we hit 30 weeks, it is going to FLY!!!!!!!!

The nerd that I am, I figured out I'll be exactly 2/3 the way through my pregnancy on Saturday at 4:00 pm.

Are most people going by 27 or 28 weeks? The Bump says "welcome to third trimester" on week 28. Ive seen the charts people have posted here but so many websites say 28 weeks...not 27. I will be 28 weeks on September 18th. I wouldnt mind saying third trimester a week early lol

I somehow lost an entire week! I was sitting her trying to figure out when I hit 3rd tri, and my dates weren't lining up - kept getting 27 weeks the week of my 28wk appointment, which wouldn't make sense since my OB's office is pretty strict about not giving out appointments before the actual date you hit that gestational week.

Holy cow, I'm 24+3 not 23+3... 3rd tri is coming up WAY too fast!!! I feel so unprepared!

There are different schools of thought on this one, but I go with 27 weeks (well, my practice does, so I do too!).

Yeah, I pretty much can't contain my excitement the next 2 weeks. My shower is Sunday and then Wednesday I hit 27 weeks/3rd tri/3 months to go! Also next Wednesday is the first night of our birthing class which I've been really looking forward to.

Add to that the fact that I am sitting here sipping on a PSL...yeah, life is pretty good.

ETA: oh, and today the countdown is down to double digits! eeeeeee!

2/3 of 40 is 26 2/3, so it makes sense from a strictly arithmetic perspective to round up to 27 weeks. But, in terms of evening out appointments and the like, people may use 28 weeks.

I'm considering myself third trimester this weekend, mainly because my birthday is the 13th and I want that day to be all about me!

Not quite to 3rd yet, but at 25 weeks and starting to go into "panic mode" because we are still unprepared for baby. No nursery, hardly anything bought (no big price items)...time is flying by and I'm not ready! @-)

Then i hit third trimester in 9 days based on 27 weeks!!!!! I just cant wait to hit 30 weeks. Then the real countdown begins with heading into single digit weeks. Yikes!

This is Month	one	two	three	four	five	six	seven	eight	nine
Trimester	first			second			third

Example:

in Week 15 = you are in your 4^th Month and Month 4 is in your Second Trimester
[ So - You have completed three months and are now into your fourth month ]
Think like your age:- You are 28 and have completed 28 years, you are in your 29^th year.

Yup been going through this the last few days, we have NOTHING in the nursery as H keeps putting off picking up our crib, and my car isn't big enough to get it myself, and he won't let me buy anything big until after the shower 1) because he wants to wait and see what we get and 2) he wants to wait for the completion discount

27 weeks and 1 day over here! Wow! Time really is flying. I'm feeling good planning wise... got the nursery painted, got a recliner, registered, moving right along. It is just so crazy how different everything will be in just three months. Okay, now I just freaked myself out a little.

I'm in denial that it's getting so close. Third tri for me on Thursday and I have nothing ready! I had a mini panic attack when I realized I only have 11 weeks if this baby decides to come as early as DS2. Where did the last six months go??

Due 12/11 and going by 28 weeks, which is 9/18...so close!!

If this baby comes when DD2 came I have less than 3 months left (she was born @38w1d, which is Black Friday for this one!). That's a scary thought!!

In the beginning my soon-to-be 10 year old was super excited and wanted her to be born on her birthday, 12/8, and I told her I don't have a clue when she'll arrive. Now, she'd rather her be born *around* her birthday. I wouldn't mind the 5th because it's my favorite number.

So, I asked my OB at my appointment this morning if he calculates the third trimester at 27 or 28 weeks, since I'm 26 weeks today. He said he considers anything past 24 weeks the third trimster, so by that logic, almost ALL of us are already there.

I'm due the 5th too! Had my first "oh my word a baby is coming out of me in 3 months" anxiety attack last night. Haha. Seems like it's going to be here before I know it. Excited and nervous all at the same time.
