We are starting the third trimester!

Eeeek! Third tri starts today. Can't believe it's gone by so fast. Haven't even attempted to set up the nursery yet. Guess I better start working on that.

Bumping this thread since most of you ladies are in the third trimester. Congrats! With a December 31 due date I still have a week and half, October 1st, but boy am I freaking out as a FTM. My anxiety is in overdrive. Still have lots to do since I am a procrastinator. Uggh.

@jessblair101 - it totally depends on how you count it. 27 weeks means you have 3 months left (since most months have more than 28 days). 28 weeks means you have 12 weeks left. Either one is absolutely valid - just different ways of counting. My belly book counted the third trimester as starting at 24 weeks, which I thought was way too early.

My OB said he considers 24 weeks the start of the third trimester too. I wonder if it's a developmental vs strictly evening up the calendar thing.

Already?! I start third Tri tomorrow. Time is a flyin'. We checked a few things off our to-do this weekend! Made a trip to Dallas and my in-laws purchased the crib, dresser and hutch for our DD (attached). We also got a few frames and some lighting for the nursery along with a bunch of other stuff from Ikea because we don't have one in our town. Now we get to nest and put it all together!

P.S. We went to Buy Buy Baby for the first time and it was awesome!! I'm jealous if you have one locally.

Also, sorry about the excitement-we are still on our way home from TX, about one more hour until I'm back in my bed with my snoogle.

Hit 28 weeks Saturday - can't believe how fast it's gone by, but I am so ready for my little one to be in my arms. Due date 12/13/14 - 12 weeks to go!

@slaps I was shocked that they did all of that. They did want to buy the furniture and mentioned it months ago. But I showed up and her house and she had a whole laundry cart full of stuff. At this rate, I won't be needing a shower. They are getting us everything we need.

Haha! That's a possibility. I'm pretty sure it's because she just isn't into used clothes and other baby stuff though. I wish I would have known that.

And I know this is also off subject but @slaps you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and y'all have been since you announced what was going on. I have been there with both parents so I know how hard it can be.

I'm due 12/31, and hit the third tri last Wednesday. Maybe you're counting it differently? Either way, congrats!
