I haven't started on my nursery for the twins because I'm still waiting to know what I'm having. This is DS nursery! I was proud to have it completed when I was at 7 months. It made me that much eager to have him arrive. Don't think I will have the twins ready as quick. We shall see but I will definitely do painting and have vinyl lettering as soon as I know end of August! I did a forest friends theme.
@kstirton my boss has 3 girls. I went shopping at her house. She had tubs and tubs of girls clothes most brand new with tags on them. I took the gender neutral ones and had to come home with some girl stuff cuz I seen pink tutus! I'm going back for more lol! She's spoiled. Probly will be a tomboy in the end like I was.
We have finished painting and are starting to put things together. I hung the curtains yesterday. I will have pictures next week!
We are doing a superhero/comic book theme. DH is in love with it, so I am having the problem of him wanting to spend too much money on décor for the nursery. Ugh! I think we have spent more on décor than we have on actual furniture and other useful stuff!
We're making progress!! Just need a lamp for that side table & should get my crib skirt(which Is same fabric as the curtains) in the mail next week.. And that should wrap it all up... I think.

@Curlyfries851 ha ha! Thank You!! I've always loved interior decor & am loving how his room is turning out! It's been fun & can't wait till it's all done! Below is the dresser wall.. Love the silhouette of my dogs & cats the most out of everything in the room.
My husband's sister and her husband painted a couple murals from Where the Wild Things are in the nursery. He did all the detail work this weekend while we were away at a baby shower in the Chicago area. We came home this evening to the finished work! I'm so amazed and grateful for their work and wanted to show off their amazing skills. This is their gift to their niece or nephew who they can't wait to meet. We can start moving in furniture tomorrow!

WOW! These are amazing. What an original and very special gift to their niece or nephew. These are my favorite kinds of gifts. Love it.

As do I! We have been so blessed with love and gifts for our baby. I'll have to take pictures of and post the Max and Wild Thing stuffed characters our best friend's wife made as well as an adorable Wild Thing hat and onesie that she made. They are so adorable!
Jumping on the bandwagon. The nursery isn't done yet, my BIL and family is visiting from Germany and staying in the baby's room but after they leave, I'll begin painting and putting everything together plus need to order the crib and rug. I put together a mood board for myself for inspiration and to stay on track. I love taking a peek at other nurseries. Everyone's is so cute and special, I tried to love tit each post. A lot of heart and love goes in each nursery.
Crib bedding I special ordered it.
JUDE - I ordered each one to be hung on walls.
Dresser - customized by a local boutique. I will prob have to send the dresser back. The in-laws ruined it. I just found it TODAY when cleaning. They spilled water and didn't clean under lamp so it left a ugly obvious water discoloration. It's gonna cost $$ to get it sanded and refinished. (I cried over it, trying to just... Let go. Let goooooooooo...)
The artwork on bottom right, I will do it myself when the inlaws leave. I found it on Pinterest with instructions.

This is insanely adorable!!! They have a lot of talent and such a special thing to do for your LO. The world needs more people like that!

Yes it does! His nieces and nephews live to far away for them to spoil and since they only live an hour and a half from us I know ours will be so spoiled by them! Mostly with love.

Omg! I would have cried about the dresser too. Ugh, I cringed when I read it. It's gorgeous. I love how everything works but it's not too matchy matchy.
I haven't posted since the beginning so I will reintroduce myself 1st. Im expecting LO #2 11/22, we are having a gi. DS turns 1 on 11/7 so it's going to be a little crazy in my house!!! LOs room is almost completely done just waiting on some finishing touches to come in.
Not really a nursery per say since baby is just moving into SD's room.....but she is only with us every other weekend, so he will be there more than her. It's kinda crowded, but it's gonna hafta do.
...and she made them for me. Here's a better/closer up picture of them. The colors from the curtains were the inspiration for everything else.
The bookends I made. Just got the 3d cardboard/paper mâché letters from Joanne's (Michael's and hobby lobby also carry them) and painted them. They're very light weight so hubby is supposed to make me an L Shape out of 2 pieces of wood, onto which I will glue the letters so they become more official looking book ends & support the weight better. They'll eventually look something like this tho if you don't have a way to cut wood.. You can get these placards from Michael's (it's what I'll end up doing of hubby keeps dragging his feet on assembling the wood pieces I need.)

Yay!! Ikea sells a few different styles of boxes (canvas, plastic, wicker, etc) We got ours from Target. Typically the cubes sold in most stores are much smaller than what the bookshelf can accommodate but if you look around I'm sure you'll find the larger 12x12 (I believe that's the measurement) around.
@runningmama14 haha! Our outlet switch cover just came in the mail tonight but I'm not putting it on until all the painting is done (bc I know somehow paint will get on it).
So cute I didn't even think about a light switch cover!
*heads off to Amazon.com*

N14 January Siggy Challenge - What Sucks About Work
I did this wall the other day. I can't decide if I love it or hate it. It's hard to tell without all the furniture in there. :-/
Man, that's a lot of work! Good job! I like it. A friend of mine did and argyle wall in her daughter's nursery. It looked so awesome once the room was all done.
This thread is giving me heartburn. All of your nurseries look so amazing, it's making me realize how far behind we are. Our entire house is torn apart right now trying to fix soot damage from our furnace this winter. I told the painters/restoration guys that I wanted the nursery done first so that I could get it set up. They did...and then proceeded to fill the ENTIRE room (we're talking piled high from wall to wall) with everything from other rooms in our house to get them out of their way. The crib arrived today, but I have no place to put it.
I love this thread, I just notice it for the first time. There are some seriously awesome nurseries in here! Mine is pretty much done, I might as some curtains, (right now we only have faux wood blinds in there) but it will depend on how much I feel like making them and if I find the right fabric!

OMG I love this! I love red but avoided it for a nursery but the trim and the little touches you have of it are really fantastic. :-)

Speaking of awesome rooms... Yours is perfection!! I love the colors & little details! Great job!!
