Also.... Why has my nearly 6 month old (who has spit up twice ever before hitting 5 months old - really BIG spit ups) just started spitting up a little bit several times a day for the last 2 or 3 weeks?
Still EBF. No solids at all. No illness. Why? Why?? WHYyyyY??
@addisonsmom22 do it! It's not bad at all. Why is your H hesitant? There are easy options that are practically the same as disposables! Just post some questions. There are lots of CDing mommas on here.

@kacie that stinks that your DH isn't cooperating. Maybe he will come around once the sposies run out.
So, the weight check...somehow Dominic gained exactly 1 pound! Vincent gained 13 oz so the doctor was happy!! And, FFTC, they both pooped before we got the to doctors and I didn't change them, we needed all the help we could get.
I'm going to stick with solids 2/day, can't really manage 3, I'll nurse 2.5-3 hours but I'm not waking then from a nap and I'm done trying to force a bottle or sippy cup. We tried everyday for 2 weeks and they are not gonna do it.

Our doc weighs them diaper less to be consistent and accurate. (Dry diaper one time then wet diaper next or vice-versa can mean a few ounces difference) They start getting weighed WITH their diaper on after a year as long as they are over 20 lbs.

But yay on the weight gain!!
I'm surprised they let you keep the diapers on! My doctor always has me strip him down and remove the diaper. We also always use the exact same scale.
Hahaha I was really hoping they wouldn't smell the turd and have me change them. And for the record the pooped on the car ride there so they weren't dirty for long.
@addisonsmom22 I think it depends on what you want - the type most like disposables? Natural fibers only?
If you want something that compares to a disposable I'd go with an all in one or even a pocket. Once you stuff an insert in the pocket all you have to do is put it on the baby. I do all the stuffing on laundry day. We use bum genius freetimes (all in one), Bumgenius 4.0 (pockets), nicki's bamboo all in ones, I have some prefolds that I'll use with a cover from time to time. Right now I prefer all in ones or pockets just because they're so easy (for us).
You'd need a place to store dirty diapers (i have 2 planetwise pail liners and a trash can). Lots of people use original tide powder to wash. CD safe bum paste. That's it really.

I'm all excited right now. This lady I bought some stuff off on my local swap group just messaged me a link for a mom's group in the area. She said there are babies younger than mine even so we would fit right in. Yay for other moms!!
Ugh I wish I had more mom friends. All my friends with kids live in other cities.

@babylimas I always cheer for SC when they're not playing Florida bc we love us some Steve Spurrier. Good luck this season. We're just hoping not to suck too bad.

@Jt7dreamz - I would be furious with my H. He's an adult. He can figure it out as well as you can.
I forgot to tell you guys something earlier! In therapy today Will held his own bottle the whole time! He's a ferocious eater and has always had a mad grasp. He just put it together and held on for dear life! He's still not as coordinated with such things as a typical baby but the motivation and understanding is HUGE!
LO just slept 8.5 hours straight. @-) =D> :x Normally he's up every 3 hours through the night. I love when he randomly STTN, but I wish it would become less 'random' and more 'usual'. I like my sleep.
@bunnyfungo Owen is doing a backward crawl and is nowhere near sitting up. Both kids want nothing to do with sitting; they would rather stand. If they start walking early it's going to look funny because they're so small.
@Jt7dreamz I'm sorry your night was cut short. I understand the feeling of having no life. DH tries hard to get me a break but I know Keira screams pretty much the entire time I'm gone. I feel bad that she gets so worked up and I feel bad that DH has to deal with that while handling the other two, so it's tough for me to get out for more than a hour.
So kohls was/is having a sale on baby shirts and pants. I looked online and of course they don't any of the right sizes in my store. But I didn't want to pay shipping. So I found out you can into the store and order online at the computer kiosks they have and get free shipping to your house! I was already going to be in the area so it worked out great! With $10 kohls cash and two coupon codes I found online, I got 7 shirts and 1 pair of pants for $20.23. I thought that was awesome and wanted to pass along the free shipping thing in case someone didn't know.
@babycaps how long do you have to rent your place before losing you spot on the rental list? if you are really ready to move it may be worth renting another place while someone rents your condo that way you can jump on something quickly if it becomes available.
Also, if you are renting it may make you a more attractive buyer b/c there would be no contingencies.
A lady I went to high school with posted this on Facebook this morning.
This is her second baby in 3 years AND she's planning the shower and throwing it herself.
The friend is just helping to do head counts and prep the food. (It doesn't sound like the friend has had any part of the planning - it's all the lady and her husband)
Aaaaaaand... She posted the notice/open invite on Facebook for the first shower as well that she also threw for herself.
I'm not going. But I couldn't resist sharing.

Does everyone else's baby love watching videos of themselfs talking? My baby can be fussing up a storm and she will stop to watch a video of herself. A couple weeks ago she was screaming in the car because she was over tired, twenty minutes later my last ditch effort was to play a video of her talking - crying stopped immediately, but would start up as soon as it stopped.
My baby loves screens. We call it the magic box (mini magic box. Giant magic box. Etc) lol we don't let her watch tv but when she does see a screen she is FASCINATED.
@jt7dreamz, about that amazing delay function on outlook web for e-mail. Decided to try it today with a non-critical e-mail. I set it to send at 3:35pm today but it's still not listed on my "sent" items. Any ideas on "where" it could be?
Are you using the 'web' mail? I could never get it to work for webmail, just the actual installed outlook. Check the 'drafts' and 'outgoing'. Maybe it's stuck? Is it a large file, or just regular text?

Babies around 6 months or so (I think that's the age) start to notice themselves (though not knowing its themselves). A mirror works well too. My DS1 enjoyed watching videos of himself. It's like watching another baby.
Does anyone else hold their lo upright after they take their last bottle before putting them down for the night? We've been doing it since she was born on the advice of a baby nurse and I'm kinda over it.
I used to, but don't anymore. If he's falling asleep for completely asleep laying in my arms, I just take him to the crib. If I try to move him to be upright, it usually wakes him up and transition to sleep is harder whether he burps or not.
@Jt7dreamz There are no bottles here, but I hold LO up patting his back like a mad woman fighting for a burp. He falls asleep nursing so becomes a limp noodle that rarely burps. When he's fully awake he sits up and burps no problem. But asleep, the burps are harder to get.
If he doesn't burp before laying down he is awake anywhere from 15 minutes later to an hour or so...then we fight to get him back to sleep. If we get a burp before laying him down then he will sleep longer (3-5 hours usually).
He has never been a spit-up baby (until recently).
Was the reason it was suggested to you to help avoid reflux/spit up? Or just burping in general?
**Usually when LOs can sit up they no longer require the assistance to burp.**
I know I'm late on this but nosefrida is amazing. She still has a pathetic cough and is on antibiotics but at least we're clearing out some of the crud from her nose.

@LakeCountryGal I hope you got some more sleep! Tylenol keeps M awake so I only use it when her teething pain is intense and I know I will be able to function w/o much sleep.
So much for thinking I could sleep in. M always sleeps for my hubs after I go to work (usually her longest stretch). Saturday morning rolls around and she was up at 7:30...and pooped three times!! within a one hour span. I hope she's not getting a stomach virus.
This morning I could barely snap the crotch on my giant baby's romper. Looks like we'll be moving up to size 9-12 months this weekend.
This happened today with a 6 month Carter's romper thing. ;( but she just started wearing all other 6 month stuff and 3-6 stuff still fts. I have noticed that Carter's stuff from the Carter's store runs small but Carter's stuff anywhere else is fine
It was some variety of Carter's but I can't remember where I got it. Most of his stuff is from there.
What I want to know is why there isn't some industry standard on baby clothes sizing. I don't care what the label says, but it would be nice if all size 6-9 were the same length in the torso. Babies don't need vanity sizing!
Re: The Randomest Thread
And on a side note. My mom and I are going to start making and selling cute cloth diapers.

I obviously have lost track of team names over the years. I can't think of ANY team with that name for ANY sport. Lol.
