  I usually take mine out of the freezer the night before I need it, place it in a bowl in fridge to slowly thaw.
  
  If I need it quickly I run it under hot water.

  first, i'd recommend freezing in 2 oz portions. it defrosts almost instantly, and you have more flexibility because the portions are small (you never have to defrost more than you need).
  
  the night before i needed the milk, i would run the bags under warm water, while simultaneously massaging the bag to try to break up the milk into chunks. once all the chunks were small enough to fit through the neck of the bottle, i'd open the bag, and pour the frozen chunks/liquid in. then i'd put the nipple/top on the bottle and stick it in the fridge. by the next morning, it'd be pretty much defrosted. i'd give it a little swirl to mix before i put it in the cooler bag to go to daycare.

  These are all great suggestions! Love the idea about the crockpot with warm water in it. Now I can finally use one of the many crockpots my mother has given me!

  Love the crockpot idea!  We have a bottle warmer (SIL no longer needed it) and DH loves using it.  It's a no brainer way of getting the milk the same temp every time and LO is such a stickler for how hot his milk is.
