We miscarried today at 12 weeks. Has anyone else miscarried and gone onto have other children?

I am so sorry you are going through this. I had a D&C last Thursday, at 12 weeks as well. In general, having one miscarriage doesn't significantly increase your risk of having another. I hope that you heal quickly and are able to have another child soon.

This was unfortunately my second, though I do have one older child. One thing that helped me have hope throughout this pregnancy was to visit the PgAL board and see how many women were having healthy pregnancies and babies, all after having losses as well.

My mom had a miscarriage and had 4 healthy children afterwards. Just for an anecdotal story.

I am so sorry, I miscarried at 11wk4d and now have normal developing (knock on wood) pregnancy, it very possible. Sending huge hugs!

I'm so sorry for your loss. This is my first pregnancy after my loss so I can't give my personal reassurance but I know hundreds of women that have gone on to bring babies home after a loss. My husband's mom went on to have 4 more babies after her loss (my husband was one of them), my mom had my brother after two losses, and I just visited my friend in the hospital yesterday as she just had a beautiful daughter following repeat losses over the past few years. I will keep you in my thoughts and please take care of yourself during this time. The loss and PGAL boards can definitely be helpful. Sending hugs your way.

I am so sorry. I have 2 girls between them I had two losses one at about 8 weeks and one at 10ish weeks. You can go on to have a healthy thb after a loss. I am just so sorry.

I am sorry you are going through this now. My sister had two losses and she went on to have many perfect and healthy children, in fact she just had her seventh baby in July (hope that info helps you and gives you hope). T&P for you for a speedy recovery.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. And yes, you can still have children after a miscarriage. I had a very early loss before having my son and am now 10 weeks with #2. When you're ready to start trying again, you can head over to the ttcal board where a lot of the ladies have been where you are.
