Workouts: Week of 8/25

Morning y'all! How is everyone doing? Any milestones or triumphs to share?

I didn't get to workout yesterday because I had to go rescue my mom. Train delays caused her to miss catching a ride back to her commuter lot, so I had to go pick her up and drive her to her car.

This morning I woke up early and got in 20 minutes of HIIT and 20 minutes of lower body strength with Fitness Blender. I think I'll also go for a run this evening.

  • This is the last week of c25k before we do a 5k. We walked it yesterday as my friend brought her sis who doesn't know the trail and is extremely overweight. We will run tomorrow and Friday. I also worked on legs at the gym yesterday.

  • Finally worked out this morning for the first time all week, since we were out of town. We walked a ton, but I'm sure I drank enough beer to offset any calories I might have burned. Did an old workout from one of my bootcamp classes this morning (when the trainer was out of town he used to leave us print outs). Kicked my ass.

  • Did upper body strength training with cardio intervals last night. I decided I want to save up for these adjustable dumbbells. I only have a pair of 5 and a pair of 10 lb weights right now and I need some more variety. Looking around at the prices, it seems like the PowerBlock set would be a good investment.

  • i did 3 youtube step classes in my garage so far this week and 2 days I added weights after!!
  • I walked 2.6 miles uphill (though at a slower pace than normal). I am also considering signing up for a 5K walk in a nearby town... convince me to do it Parenting!
