Hey,
hey. Welcome
to first tri check-in. So I think we will just keep the check-in on Monday night if no one has a problem with it. This is for those of
us who want to stay in the
safety of the PgAL board yet still have first tri questions, concerns,
or fears. We
have had a number of new BFPs on the main board (yay!) this week and if
you
would like to join in our check-in, please do so! If you
aren't tagged in this post, please feel free to join!

Worries (rational or irrational)
Miscarriage of course.
Appointments scheduled
Thursday I have my first ultrasound which I am super nervous about, especially because DH can't get off to go with me.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates Labor Day 2010 is when I had my miscarriage so super scared.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
It drives me nuts when people tell the same stories over and over. MIL does this constantly even when you say I've already heard this story. I have gotten to the point where I just finish the story for her but she still doesn't get the hint.
16 Weeks today - Avacado
This week has been pretty good. I was stuck home all last week with Hand, Foot, Mouth. I put the time to good use and started really planning for the baby. This is the first time I have really let myself think about bringing a baby home. I do still worry about something happening between appointments. I don't think that fear is going to go away until baby boy is here.
None
Hairballs / pet vomit on the carpet. Oh and dog farts! Yuck!
@Footprint : next scan is the A/S on the 16th.
ETA: it's been a long day, I thought you were asking about pet related pet peeves... General pet peeves would be people that just can't take a hint, or co-workers who do half the work I do, yet we all get the same amount of credit.

The m/s is such a double edged sword for the PgAL brain. I loved it because I knew I was still pregnant, but who wants to feel nauseous all day? The other thing that is hard for PgAL is feeling like you can't complain about the side effects of being pregnant. I feel like I should suffer through all the symptoms with a huge smile on my face since I am so happy to still be pregnant, but the symptoms are hard and gross to live with.
I hate people who invade personal space. I especially hate when men do it, I automatically assume that they are abusive a-holes, and I start throwing attitude towards them. Which is pretty passive-aggressive and doesn't usually work to get them to back off.
Married August 2003
EDD/Week/Fruit 10w3d I think it's a prune.
Worries (rational or irrational) my symptoms got a lot better. I walk around like a goof ball grabbing my boobs to make sure they are still sore.
Appointments scheduled 9/12 can't come soon enough.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves? Uh I hate people's mouth noises. Like gum chewing and smacking and whistling it just sets me on edge for some reason.
@mypeanut22 - Good luck at your ultrasound! Sorry your husband can't be there, that would be hard.
@HailsMom - Hope you're feeling better!
@Heathersf11 - Know what you mean. The BMB is pretty overwhelming. There's a PgAL check in, though, and some other good stuff, but you have to wade through a lot of crazy to find it.
@rqcegurl87 - LOL about the kitchen organization. My husband folds the kitchen towels satanically--not lengthwise first. I'm trying to breathe through it, but it feels all kinds of wrong.
@Megdowntheshore - Good luck with the start of classes! My first one is today.
@amanda33758 - I totally do that. If you do it with your upper arm I'd like to think it's not noticeable. ;-)
AFM:
Week/EDD/Fruit: 6+4, April 17th, Pea
Worries: I feel MUCH better as our ultrasound yesterday was "perfect," but of course I'm still terrified. We've been on the bad side of unusual statistics for 2.5 years, so it's hard to imagine this could go well from here on out.
Appointments: I think my next u/s will be 9/4, which is about 8 weeks. If things look good I assume I'd be graduating to an obgyn like a normal person!
Upcoming milestones: With my last loss, the equivalent ultrasound to yesterday didn't look great, but we made it to 8 weeks when we saw that the heartbeat had stopped. The embryo had never gotten as big as it did yesterday, so we're in much better shape, but I'm still going to be a complete train wreck in advance of 9/4, especially if I have any bleeding or symptoms disappear.
QOTW: I'm a little frustrated with some parts of TB right now, so I'll say that my pet peeve is when women are cruel to other women. I react really badly to it, too, so I get into trouble.
ETA: Good luck and hugs to everyone!

I was a boob grabber for a long time. I know I must have done it in public and probably more than once. My exhaustion waned a bit, but then it came roaring back.
And yes, whistling is the worst thing ever! Ugh. Who wants to hear that?

I'm so glad your u/s was perfect! Yay! It must be exciting that you will be released to an OB soon! What a fantastic milestone that will be!
I hear you about people being cruel to one another. It is too bad that it happens
Married August 2003
Congrats on your positive! Yay! I think you have a common worry of the u/s. The mantras helped me, but mostly I just tried not to think about it. I hope that you are able to keep you an anxieties down and that time passes quickly and your u/s appointment is here before you know it!
Traveling in the passing lane drives me nuts too!

@mypeanut22 - Thinking of you this weekend! My MIL also tells the same exact stories over and over again, and even when you tell her that you have already heard her tell it, she just says " I know, I was just telling you again".
@heathersf11 - Have you gotten your beta results yet?
@racegurl87 - Yay for second tri!!!! And I hate when people don't put things where they are supposed to go in my kitchen! We have such a small amount of storage that everything has it's place and if it doesn't go there then I never can find it.
@Megdowntheshore - I had the same all day sickness with both my first pregnancy and this one. The first time - it lasted the whole pregnancy, this time around it seemed to have gone away for the most part at 13 weeks. I almost wished that I could just throw up and get it over with, rather than feeling like crap all day.
@kefttsc - Yay! Due date buddies! (I have a feeling you will probably go before me though!) FX that you make it to 34 weeks at least so you can deliver where you want. Good luck at your scan too!
@pblge - Glad you had a good scan!
LaRomana09 - I hate slow people in the left hand lane!
@danielle1290 - I still do that! Every time I go to the bathroom! I even turn the lights on at night so I can make sure I don't miss blood.
@MoreThanSparrows08 - Hope everything is ok and there is no more blood.
Feb'15 November Siggy Challenge:
@footprint thanks for the check in and adding me to the list
EDD/Fruit/Week: 4/23/15, appleseed for another day, 5 wk 5 days
Worries: Still scared to pee, which is still a problem since all I do is drink water all day long because I can't seem to quench my thirst. Waking up in the morning is like waking up with cottonmouth I would experience with a hangover, minus the booze... Everyday I remind myself to relax, enjoy being pregnant, considering some of my symptoms are a lot stronger than last time (like the bloating, which has me worried that people can tell I am pregnant because I already look like I am).
Also fighting a head cold, which sucks with no meds. The women's center gave me a list of medications but those never worked before I was pregnant so not taking a chance. With a stuffy head and a stuffy body I feel like a balloon. Head cold is also preventing me from visiting my BF in the hospital who had her first baby boy this morning
Upcoming Milestones/Appointments: About a week and a half until I approach my previous loss (7w1d) and exactly 3 weeks until my first US. Feel like these two things consume most of my thoughts these days. Hoping that once these dates pass that I will be able to relax more.
QOTW: @racegurl , completely with you about the kitchen, I spent too much time this morning trying to find a cheese slicer as it has rotated between three different drawers over the last 2 weeks... I also hate when people cut me off in their car and then I have to stop 5 minutes later when they decide to turn off the highway.

No you are definitely not the only one here to hold your breathe while you check the TP for blood! We all have done and/or still do that! I am 15 weeks and I do that. Mostly it is just a reflex, and I seriously don't expect to see blood, but I still do it! I think I can say, too, that every twinge, stretch, or pull kicks all of our PgAL brains into over drive! It is really difficult in the beginning but it gets easier in time. The PgAL mantras help a lot of women reduce the anxiety and keeping busy helps a lot too!

I am so sorry about the blood. How are you doing today? How are you feeling about it? I'm glad that you are seeing your doctor this afternoon and can ask him/her about it. I am also really happy that you can feel your LO moving around! Your a/s isn't too long from now, and tat is exciting. Are you going to find out the sex? Let us know how your doc appointment this afternoon goes!

You're right, there is always a concern in early pregnancy of MC! I'm sorry that you were sick, but glad you got it at a time when LO is safe.
Married August 2003
I'm sorry that you have a hard time with blood draws. I've had some medical issues and have had countless blood draws and I definitely recommend that you over hydrate before a draw. The techs and nurses would have such a difficult time drawing blood or putting in an IV if I was allowed to drink anything after midnight.

My check-in...
EDD 2/16/2015 Week 15
Worries: My worries have really quieted following my NT scan and getting into the second trimester. They are fully gone, but they have quieted a lot. Which is nice.
I have an OB appointment on Sept 11, I will be around 17 weeks (i think) and more than likely get an Rx for my a/s.
I have passed my EDD and my loss milestone, hooray!
QotW: Whistling. I cannot stand it. To me, whistling is the equivalent of singing at the top of your lungs in public. I notice men do it a lot at the grocery store, and I'm all, seriously? You think that's ok to do in public? Usually you can hear it over the whole store. Ugh.
Married August 2003
I used to work with a guy that does that HUH?!?! thing. No matter what you'd say, even if he heard you (which I assume he always did) he'd say HUH!? Any chance your neighbor's name is Chuck @footprint?
Hi ladies! I hope people are having a good day.
EDD/Week/Fruit
April 7th 2015/8w1d/ raspberry
Worries (rational or irrational)
Work still, although I feel better having made the decision to leave before the year is out. I still worry about my pregnancy of course. I can't shake it!
Appointments scheduled
I have my first OB appointment and a regular doctors appointment both this Friday. I hope they do a scan at the OB appointment.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
The due date of my first would have been October 27th. That's labour day here so at least I can wallow about and not do anything that day if I feel like it.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
People who just aren't aware of others. My SIL is the worst! She's a nice girl but she just doesn't think of others when she's stomping around like an elephant and making a hell of a mess. She's like a small child and she drives me insane. Also kids that have no respect for adults, or others in general! I know some real little stinkers and it's really just sad.
