EDD/Week/Fruit: 2/22/ 14/ Lemon
Worries (rational or irrational): right now none really...I just don't seem to have capacity for it at the moment...it's a blessing!
Appointments scheduled: still waiting for our 16w on 9/9, otherwise nothing new.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates: done with this one!
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves? Slow drivers, slow talkers, people who talk too much, people who don't understand I may not want to get into a 15 minute conversation with a complete stranger about my cute little E (I appreciate the compliment, but I do have things to do and you're about the fifth person to stop me at the grocery store!), when my husband leaves little E's formula at the party we were at and now it's late and we have to lose an hour going back to get it because she's scream holy hell in the back seat!)
@footprint: you are amazing at how you keep up with all of us and ask something personal each week! It's wonderful, and I really appreciate it!! I had a great phone interview last Friday and got a call from the recruiter today that I will be getting a call about an in-person interview. I also called the potential daycare that little E and the minion would go to and they have space! Now I just need to nail the compulsary round (sorry, I like Olympic gymnastics!)
Worries (rational or irrational) Still terrified to have sex either DH until I'm out of first tri. Thankfully, he understands my concerns although it doesn't prevent him from asking.
Appointments scheduled
I decided to wait until the 10 week mark. Ever since seeing a heartbeat and "healthy baby" during angel baby #1 ultrasound it's hard for me to really feel a sense of comfort by seeing the u/s. I decided that it would be slightly more comforting at the 10 week mark.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates Saturday we will be past angel baby #2 loss date.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
Seeing people chew on cloth and people with a false sense of entitlement.
"As soon as I saw you I knew an adventure was going to happen." ~Winnie the Pooh
Hi ladies! Thanks for running the check in @footprint...glad your pgal brain has calmed down a bit. Congrats for the ladies who have had good u/s! feels so good doesn't it? EDD/Week/Fruit 6w2d pea!
Worries (rational or irrational) Now that I've had my u/s, I'm a bit calmer. Fears are I will have a MMC, or my baby will die shortly before birth like my daughter did.
Appointments scheduled
I have an apt. with a nurse sept 18th..I think I still have that anyway. Then my OB on Sept 24th. She'll be calling me with results from our u/s soon, so we might actually move that apt. up a few weeks (which would be awesome...I think having another scan in 2 weeks would be reassuring for me)
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates No real milestones or loss dates until birth
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
Worries (rational or irrational)Since I am not having really any m/s yet, that something is wrong. But at the same time I am so grateful I can still look at food.
Appointments scheduled September 3 for blood work, September 15th for first u/s
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates The first appointments that are coming up.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves? Repeating myself. Hate it. And yet I do it all day long with DS. Uhg.
@TMaggie0424 : YES! Drama starters. Hugs as you get through
the next week waiting for your upcoming u/s.
@mypeanut22 : GL with the u/s on Thursday. FX all goes well and everything is
healthy! Hugs as you approach a tough holiday ahead.
@HailsMom : Sorry to hear you were sick this past week! That sucks, but glad
you were able to be productive while stuck at home.
@heathersf11 : I am also a May 1st due date. Hope you will come out
to play on the board as well. But understand. We will start having a check in
over there for PgAL as well. FX your betas are nice and high!
@racegurl87 : Glad to hear the Tums are helping with the reflux.
@Megdowntheshore : GL at getting back to teaching next week. Hope you feel energized
as you get back into the groove of things.
@amanda33758 : I am glad I am not the only one that randomly grabs my boobs to
make sure they are still sore. Hugs as you wait for your appointment in the
coming weeks!
@kefttsc : Hope you recover quickly from the root canal!
@pblge : Hugs as you head into this coming u/s. FX for you!!
@LaRomana09 : GL on your u/s this week! Hope all goes well with your beta testing
as well.
@danielle1290 : GL with your appointment on Friday and that they do the u/s!!
@chickinNH : Glad they are doing a second u/s for you! Hope that helps to calm
some nerves for you!
Worries (rational or irrational) - the usual - that this baby will stop growing.
Appointments scheduled - 2nd us sept 2
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates - had a successful first us with strong hb & baby is growing right on track. 2nd us is next week & we are now the farthest we have been.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves? Have a few but aside from dishonesty I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
My neighbor is like 70 years old and almost every time I go outside, he corners me to talk, which is ok, but drives me a little crazy. He will ask a question and no matter what volume my response he shouts, "Huh?" It drives me nuts and seems somehow passive-aggressive and aggressive-aggressive. It's almost like he doesn't expect a response to his questions. Drives me batty, repeating myself like that.
I'm glad that you have had a good week! It's nice when that happens. I'm sorry about your situation at work. Since you are a non-profit religious establishment (I am assuming) does your place have to offer FMLA time?
No, they don't have to offer anything. However, they are amazing, so I'm hoping the conversation goes wonderfully. I may not be able to negotiate getting my full salary while on leave, but I'm going to make sure I get at least 1/2 of it. (I'll be proposing roughly 20 hours/week after the first two weeks, and doing that for about 2-3 months, before returning to my normal hours) I used to work with a guy that does that HUH?!?! thing. No matter what you'd say, even if he heard you (which I assume he always did) he'd say HUH!? Any chance your neighbor's name is Chuck @footprint? His name isn't Chuck, but Jerry. But, he yells HUH?! Too. Almost like he is surprised that you are answering him. Scrolling through this entire post, I've seen a number of Jerry's personality traits listed - he whistles, make me repeat myself, he has bad hygiene, etc, etc.
Worries (rational or irrational): right now none really...I just don't seem to have capacity for it at the moment...it's a blessing!
Appointments scheduled: still waiting for our 16w on 9/9, otherwise nothing new.

You are so nice! That made me feel really good reading what you wrote! Thank you! I am so happy that you had a great phone interview last week! Let us know when you schedule your in person interview and we can send T&Ps when you go for it! Yay for daycare space too! So what will the age difference between E and new baby be?
Worries (rational or irrational): I'm still being irrational about stuff. I am 2wks away from hitting my loss milestone from the last pregnancy, so I feel like I can't relax until I at least get past that.
Appointments scheduled: This Friday I have a blood draw for the Harmony test. Alas, I won't get results until my NT scan on 9/11. It will feel like forever.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates: I am just continuing to try and stay positive. My loss was at 12wks and I am two weeks away from that. I even had a dream the other night where I was back in the ER for another loss. It was unsettling, but trying to ignore it.
@footprint, I'm feeling better! No more cramps, but now I have sciatic nerve pain bugging my right leg. It sucks since I sit in front of the computer all day for work. This is now when I wish I had a tread desk. lol.
Sorry about your loss milestone coming up. For me I did feel better once I passed it. Fx that time passes quickly and you are able to not have anxiety about it. I am sorry about the dreams (nightmares). I have only had one (knocks wood) but it was unpleasant. My next appointment is 9/11 when I can hear the heartbeat again! We can do this!
ETA I think I am having tail bone pain from the pregnancy, but I feel like it is too early. I feel like I broke my coccyx but I haven't had any trauma to it, so who knows? I am a big fan of sitting, so it gets uncomfortable.
Thanks for the check in! Job stress is still there unfortunately. I've talked to DH and we've decided we can afford for me to stop working by Christmas which I'm looking forward to. I want to be a SAHM so I have no interest in keeping my job after LO arrives anyway. Thank you for the offer of watermelon, that's so sweet! Unfortunately I live in New Zealand so it's a bit far away lol but again thank you so much for the offer!
EDD/Week/Fruit
April 7th 2015/8w1d/ raspberry
Worries (rational or irrational)
Work still, although I feel better having made the decision to leave before the year is out. I still worry about my pregnancy of course. I can't shake it!
Appointments scheduled
I have my first OB appointment and a regular doctors appointment both this Friday. I hope they do a scan at the OB appointment.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
The due date of my first would have been October 27th. That's labour day here so at least I can wallow about and not do anything that day if I feel like it.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
People who just aren't aware of others. My SIL is the worst! She's a nice girl but she just doesn't think of others when she's stomping around like an elephant and making a hell of a mess. She's like a small child and she drives me insane. Also kids that have no respect for adults, or others in general! I know some real little stinkers and it's really just sad.
I'm pretty sure that New Zealand wouldn't let me send you watermelon Probably worried about bugs and crops and such. Sorry. It just hit me that you are having an April baby and it will be born in the fall? That is kinda hard to wrap my head around. April is so quintessentially spring in the states. Sorry to sound so ignorant, but I am a little amazed that I have never thought of these things before.
Fx crossed that everything goes fantastic at your first OB appointment! Let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the check-in footprint! I doing ok, my first appointment is next week and I will feel better then at least emotionally.
EDD/ Week/ Fruit: Around 4/18, 6.5 weeks, I can't remember, almost a blueberry I think!
Worries: My first appointment is next Wednesday and I have to go by myself (DH has to work). I am really nervous and scared. We have been on the wrong end of the statistics so many times over the past 3 years and I really need things to go well at that ultrasound. I also went to my endo last week to check my thyroid and it was already too high. I didn't need to up my meds until the third tri last time. Luckily my levels were just a little bit outside of range but I am still worried my faulty thyroid will affect the baby.
Appointments: Next Wednesday I have my first ultrasound and I will get a due date finally!
Upcoming Milestones: none
Biggest pet peeve: I used to teach high school math and I absolutely could not stand when students just called me "Ms." I had them call me "Ms. last initial" because of my long last name so it wasn't hard.
I remember feeling so much better after my first appointment, too. I am sorry that your H can't go with you. Do you have anyone else that can accompany you? I am sorry about your thyroid problems. It sucks that your numbers are high, but it's good that you know now and can adjust medication. That will be nice to have an official due date.
this is the siggy help from my BMB. It still took me about 1.5 hours to figure out, but I got it eventually. Just search for 'tickers' on the Bump and you can get the code.
The way that I think about it is that you click <> in order to be in the 'mode' where you can paste the code that you want.
BFP #1 11/02/13, EDD 07/04/14, BO diagnosed 12/12/13 at 9w5d BFP #2 6/12/14, DD born 2/21/15
@footprint - thanks for asking! My OB appointment went really well. I really like my doctor. She wasn't able to find the heartbeat on the Doppler, so she sent me for a free ultrasound. There was a cute little baby and a heart rate of 175!
EDD/Week/Fruit
3/19/15 - 10w5d
Worries (rational or irrational)
I'm feeling a bit better because my pregnancy was again confirmed this past Friday (10w1d). Although I know something could happen at any time, I am feeling better the further along I get.
Appointments scheduled
My next OB appointment isn't until September 26, so it'll be a while. I am having an ultrasound on September 4 so I'm looking forward to that.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
None in the near future.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
When people pick their noses. I'm not sure why but I find it completely disgusting.
I am so happy that your OB sent you for a free u/s!!! I would have freaked out if my NP hadn't found the hb with the Doppler, even though my appointment was scheduled when finding the hb was questionable. I'm really glad that the appointment went well. Are you doing an NT scan on 9/4 or just a regular u/s?
I agree. And I believe that most people agree that nose picking is completely disgusting.
Worries (rational or irrational) Still terrified to have sex either DH until I'm out of first tri. Thankfully, he understands my concerns although it doesn't prevent him from asking.

I am sorry about the no sex before second trimester. Even when it is your choice, it still has to be hard on you and your H and you two as a couple. Fx that second trimester is here before you know it!
I hope that Saturday isn't too hard for you. Sending T&Ps.
Hi ladies! Thanks for running the check in @footprint...glad your pgal brain has calmed down a bit. Congrats for the ladies who have had good u/s! feels so good doesn't it? EDD/Week/Fruit 6w2d pea!

Hmm. Bad driving, bad hygiene....
Congrats on the great u/s! It is such a huge relief! Does your OB have an u/s in the practice or do you have to go to a different facility? Mine is in a different facility and I thought about switching practices, but ended up staying because I love my OB, but it would be really nice to get it done the same day as appointments.
Worries (rational or irrational)Since I am not having really any m/s yet, that something is wrong. But at the same time I am so grateful I can still look at food.

week. Hope your fears continue to get stripped away!
@lorifromwi : So glad you are at a good spot right now in your journey!!
@arschm02 : Hugs as you past angel baby #2 loss date!!
Enjoy all the food now! I understand, we all understand, the love/hate relationship with m/s. I hated how I felt, but loved knowing that I was still pregnant. What type of blood work are you having done on the third? Just betas? Or will they look at other things? I hear you about repeating yourself all day. My son seems to enjoy me repeating myself. It's a sick, sick game he plays. Well, maybe not, since he just turned two, but it is exasperating. I'm sure you know this, but this pregnancy has been completely different than my son's pregnancy. A lot of women I know IRL have had vastly different first and second pregnancies.

Yay for a great first u/s!! I'm glad that you have another u/s next week. It's nice that your OB is allowing it! Biggest hooray for being the farther you have ever been!!!! how do you feel? I can see it both providing some relief but at the same time causing more worry. Oh, the glories of PgAL brain! I can't wait to see how your second u/s next week!
Hey @footprint thank you so much for asking My cramping is coming and going, actually yesterday I was feeling bad and when I went to the toilet (number 2) there was nothing but mucus and blood, it was scary, or should I say terrifying. A colleague of my OB received me at 8 PM (which I'm super thankful) and inspected me... Yes my booty
Thanks for the check in! Job stress is still there unfortunately. I've talked to DH and we've decided we can afford for me to stop working by Christmas which I'm looking forward to. Yep I'll be having an Autumn baby! My birthday is actually April 14th so I'm hoping baby doesn't come on my birthday. Poor kid wouldn't want to share his/her birthday with their mum lol. It's funny how we don't think of these things. Like I would love to have a white Christmas. But it's always stinking hot and sunny at Christmas here!

Lost our first at 8 weeks (didn't know till 12) so this week is a little eeeeeee
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
I can't stand liars. Story tellers. Makes me so angry.
I'm so glad that you got to see the hb! It is such a relief. Nothing makes me feel better. I'm glad your doctor is allowing you to come in again next week. I'd imagine it is nice to be able to come in more often. I'm sorry that the next four weeks will be tense for you. Sending T&Ps that you aren't too stressed.
Hi all. I'm so glad to be participating another week. In the beginning, every day feels like a milestone. I have much less cramping now, but I do have the random pings of pain here and there and some dull aches. I'm nearly certain I felt this way with dd, so I'm not freaking about each and every pain. Not taking anymore tests either
EDD/Week/Fruit: 4/24, 5w4d, Appleseed
Worries (rational or irrational)
My betas had a doubling time of 65 hours. Im constantly reminding myself that it's within the normal range but naturally I had hoped they would have doubled in 48 hrs. My doctor was very happy with my numbers so I'm trying to cling to that. My p4 was 34.2 so I'm happy with that number.
Appointments scheduled
First u/s is sept 15
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
I have about a week and a half before I hit my first loss milestone.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
The word "sorry." My students say it ALL THE TIME as if it magically undoes their behavior. It's so annoying to me.
I'm sorry that your doubling time has you stressed! It is within the normal range and your doctor seems happy with it, so I choose to let go of the worry (easier said than done, I know). I don't know what p4 is, except maybe progesterone, but I'm happy that you are happy with it. I hope that the next week and a half isn't too stressful for you as you approach your loss milestone. T&Ps to you.
Thanks for the check in! Job stress is still there unfortunately. I've talked to DH and we've decided we can afford for me to stop working by Christmas which I'm looking forward to. Yeah, it's like obviously I knew the seasons are reversed in the Southern Hemisphere (and that water drains clockwise thank you The Simpsons for teaching me that) but I never thought of the implications. My birthday is in autumn (October) and it's my favorite season.
My symtpoms come and go. They never did that with Brooke. Just need reassurance. Betas doubled nicely but that doesn't seem to help ease my mind.

I am just having betas done, which is just the routine first appointment with this office. But I will also see if they will check my TSH level. I saw my endocrinologist last week and she changed my meds, so a double check of that is enough. I follow up with my endo in 4 weeks. I am seriously hoping this pregnancy will be different for me than with my m/c and DS. I was very sick for both. Would love to actually enjoy food, verses force feeding myself. So FX!

1st appointment and sono is Sept 15th when I am 8 weeks and 1 day along.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
None
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
I don't like it when I hear people say "Take home baby". I got to take my daughter home and still lossed her. I know everyone's experiance is different but it just hurts when I hear that.
Congrats on your positive.I'm glad that your betas doubled nicely but wish it provided more anxiety relief. My son's pregnancy was so, super different from this pregnancy but knowing that doesn't provide much relief when my symptoms disappear. Fx that times move quickly and your first appointment and u/s are here before you know it.
I can understand how hearing "take home baby" would hurt you. I am so sorry that you lost Brooke. I can't imagine the pain you must feel and I won't pretend to.
@MissLMS How did your u/s go? How are you feeling? - First u/s went well. I was only 5w1d so it was really early. Saw the egg sac and the start of a yolk. Going back again on Friday at 6w1d. Not sure if it will be too early for a HB, but I'm hoping we might see one. As far as feeling, morning sickness has definitely reared her ugly head. I'm having to eat small snacks constantly through the day to ward off throwing up, but I'm always nauseous. Good thing though, right?
EDD/Week/Fruit 6w (tomorrow) - pea
Worries (rational or irrational) Worried that there won't be any growth at the next u/s on Friday, despite the fact that everything is progressing normally
Appointments scheduled
Going to have my 2nd early u/s on Friday! Hoping everything is normal.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates Original EDD from last pregnancy was 8/22. The next day, 8/23, was the date of my first loss. Luckily, no big milestones or loss dates in the near future! Yipee.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves? My coworker has horrible BO. It's always bad in the summer, but now that I have super pregnancy smell and nausea, I have to hold my breath or sometimes walk to the other end of the office in order to not yarf. Seriously, I don't know the last time this guy has taken a shower. It's that bad.

Hey @footprint thank you so much for asking
My cramping is coming and going, actually yesterday I was feeling bad and when I went to the toilet (number 2) there was nothing but mucus and blood, it was scary, or should I say terrifying.
A colleague of my OB received me at 8 PM (which I'm super thankful) and inspected me... Yes my booty
I'm so sorry I didn't respond earlier! I I am sorry that you had to have your booty inspected I hope that they didn't find anything wrong. It is a pretty normal complaint about cramping around here, I mean that it is a normal pregnancy symptom, in case you are worried about that, I hope that today has been better than yesterday!

I am so happy that you saw the beginning of baby at your u/s! I really hope that you see the hb on Friday, even though it may be too early. I'm sorry that you had some many milestones and loss dates so closed together. I hope that it wasn't too hard for you.
Yarf indeed about the BO. That is fucking awful. Sorry to swear, but even typing this, I'm getting nauseous. I don't think I could deal. Good luck.
Worries (rational or irrational) ummmmm I just worry about losing baby everyday. I pray everyday for God to give us a healthy little one.
Appointments scheduled
Had my weekly u/s today and baby was super active/making progress w/HB at 166 we have another one scheduled for next week on Wednesday as well.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
All milestones behind me...but really want to get past first trimester.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
RUDE people...people who are rude to others even if they feel they've been "wronged". Your order is wrong, you had to wait too long in line or whatever. Don't take it out on someone else. You sound like a first world ego maniac. My DH and I have been on several humanitarian trips with people who literally had nothing or were dying from something so trivial and yet they were always kind. I try to be the same. You never know what someone is going through. Even if someone is rude to me I try to be kind in return. One time I was at the deli and this guy was ripping the lady who was working apart for making him wait too long and then for getting his meat not thin enough. SHUT UP!!!

It is so hard in the first trimester with PgAL brain. Everyone here can commiserate with you and your fear of losing your baby. Yay for a fantastic hb and great u/s. It's awesome that you are going to be able to get in for another u/s so quickly (even if it feels like forever away.
I've been to a few first and second world countries and yeah, my sympathies for first world problems went right out the door after that. I totally agree with you!
@footprint, I hope your tailbone pain has gone away by now. I am trying to get up and walk around once an hour at the office and it's helping a little bit. I will try to find a chiro too.
this is the siggy help from my BMB. It still took me about 1.5 hours to figure out, but I got it eventually. Just search for 'tickers' on the Bump and you can get the code.
The way that I think about it is that you click <> in order to be in the 'mode' where you can paste the code that you want.
Your link to the Feb '15 instructions helped me! Now, I'm not completely computer illiterate (but then I couldn't spell illiterate right, so now I'm feeling dim again). Thanks!
Hey @footprint! Thanks for the check-in. I was traveling for work this week and had very little time to bump, so I'm finally able to post this week. The NT Scan last week went great. The u/s looked perfect and it was really cool to see LO looking more like a baby. We got the call with the official results this morning and our risk for all three disorders came back 1 in 50,000, so we're both feeling really good,
EDD/Week/Fruit 2.28.15/13w6d/peach
Worries (rational or irrational) There's still this fear in the back of my mind, but overall starting to feel pretty positive about this pregnancy.
Appointments scheduled Next one is Sept 15th for check-up and spina bifida blood test.
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates I've passed my loss milestones! Just have my first EDD coming up in two weeks.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves? Condensation. I hate drinking out of a sweaty cup. I try to drink out of an insulated cup whenever possible,

@footprint My scan is next Friday! I know I will be a ball of nerves that day waiting for my appt. I'm feeling positive since being able to see her last week.
EDD/Week/Fruit 2/12/15, 16w1d, avocado
Worries (rational or irrational) Just the usual fears. I'll admit that I have used the Doppler more this week to ease my mind.
Appointments scheduled A/s and doc appt next Friday
Upcoming milestones/Loss dates I count my a/s (18w) as my milestone although she only measured 16w2d. Basically these next 2 weeks are what I need to get through for now.
QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves? I have way too many to list; open mouth chewing, dragging feet, chomping gum, etc.
Re: First Trimester Check-in (8/25)
5 weeks today, Appleseed.
Still terrified to have sex either DH until I'm out of first tri. Thankfully, he understands my concerns although it doesn't prevent him from asking.
Saturday we will be past angel baby #2 loss date.
EDD/Week/Fruit
6w2d pea!
Now that I've had my u/s, I'm a bit calmer. Fears are I will have a MMC, or my baby will die shortly before birth like my daughter did.
No real milestones or loss dates until birth

QoTW: What are some of your biggest/worstest pet peeves?
Have a few but aside from dishonesty I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
I used to work with a guy that does that HUH?!?!

ETA I think I am having tail bone pain from the pregnancy, but I feel like it is too early. I feel like I broke my coccyx but I haven't had any trauma to it, so who knows? I am a big fan of sitting, so it gets uncomfortable.
