@jessuhmarie I had an anterior placenta last time and was still able to pick up E's heartbeat (even being overweight). AND I felt plenty of movement - perhaps not as much as others (how would I know though??) but it was wonderful. Don't worry, love.

Yeah this was pretty tacky : / as well as extremely confusing and kinda high maintenance of a request. I have a life- if I was out shopping for a gift I really don't wanna be stopping to think what the heck time of day they'll be using it. I'd make sure if she's throwing your baby shower to not have any ridiculous requests involved. You can't dictate what your guests buy

Guys Id really love to shop all those cute little mommy businesses but for fucks sake they cost more than gap or zara! I can't pay $40 for leggings that will be worn for a few months maybe. I pay $10 for leggings for myself!

I get that "they have bills and I should shop small" but uh, I have bills too and I'd go broke if I only bought from them

So glad everyone had good appts & NT's today! Mine is next week & I'm already staring at the 9 wk u/s like "OMG huge nuchal fold" - need. to. stop.

Today in clinic we had pizza & dessert for lunch courtesy of a sweet patient who donated a pizza gift card because he was relieved after a test came back negative. And then 30 min later a patient brought us like 20 homemade gourmet chocolate bars in assorted amazing flavors. I freaking love my patients. And my Bella band.

I have Godiva brownie mix in the cupboard and I would love a brownie...ok, maybe several brownies...but I'm having trouble scrounging up the energy to get my ass in the kitchen to make them.

It would seem I have a brownie obsession lately, which if H asks, is entirely due to the baby.

On a non food related note, DD has started walking, taking a few steps at a time. It warms my heart but also scares the crap out of me. We have lots of furniture with pointy edges!

Hi all! Sorry to be doing a drive-by for now. We're still wading through a long day of moving-related errands. But we also had our NT scan and got to see the little cygnet again!! I'm really hoping my picture uploads on my cell phone. NT measurement was 1.93 mm at12w4d, so I feel good about my chances of being screen negative once all the results are in.

1st trimester/2nd trimester???

I am so confused. Every website says that the 2nd trimester starts at a different time. 12 weeks, 13 weeks, 14 weeks? How can there be so much discrepancy about this?

People fail at basic math. Trimester=1/3.
40/3 = 13.33
Some people round down (13), some round up (14), and some just make shit up (12 weeks)

I feel like this is deserving of all the asspats. And also. My regularly scheduled appointment is on Thursday and I may freak out more and more as we approach it. So um. Hugs? Love? Prayers if you do 'em? Etc.
