I have been waiting all night, but decided it is time to get a new Spam going.

I hope the fact there isn't new Spam on the old thread or a new thread made means everyone else slept well and is feeling great. I have had insomnia, probably due to my dog and DH waking me abruptly earlier. Hoping for a couple hours sleep before LO wakes up.

After a great summer I'm heading back to work on Thursday. L has been going to daycare a day or two a week to keep her in the groove so I'm not so worried about separation anxiety for her, but I don't know how I'm going to be. Ugh all I keep thinking is "I have three more days with her." :-S

Hi all! I was in Atlanta all weekend and my phone was getting really spotty service... I could only get the pages to load half the time and could rarely log in, but I kept up with the drama

While there, we signed a lease on a new apartment and are going to save so. much. money. Hopefully we'll be able to buy a house within the year! Normal life, here we come. Less than two months until the move.

L was such a trooper through all of the traveling. While many people dislike the early flights, it actually worked really well for us. No traffic getting to the airport, no lines in security, and quiet dawn at takeoff (which helped L sleep in the carrier) combined for a pretty pleasant time. We did that both ways. Last night, she slept 12.5 hours... glad, I think, not to be awakened at 3:30am!

@lizabethann06 - L has those sometimes. So sad/scary

Last night dinner was late because we went to church. P knew dinner was in the oven cooking and he was hungry, so he decided to climb on the handle of the warmer drawer while holding onto the oven handle to get into the oven. Thank goodness, he didn't. I don't even know how to lock an oven door.

I use the latch you use to lock it for cleaning. Do you have one? If not, they sell child proofing oven locks on amazon.

thanks, we don't have a cleaning lock, but I'm going to get one off amazon. I never leave him alone in the kitchen, but I had turned around to set the table and there he was climbing the oven.

Hi girls! I haven't been on since early last week and I miss you all! I wasn't able to log on or anything so I haven't caught up on any drama or updates. My phone's been acting up and I went back to work and school started last week so it was just nuts. I'm hoping I'll have a better week this week and can fit in my Bump time!

Ack the stove that's so scary, it reminds me to make sure I'm more careful on the counter when cutting, I just leave the knife where I put it down but one of these days he's going to be able to reach it ugh!

All the coffee or tea for you mommas, I'll be digging into some of that too. We are in the trifecta of no-sleep: learning to walk, learning to sign and molars #3 & 4. Boo!

Aww, poor buddy. Butterflies must look kind of scary from that perspective. They're all flippy and floppy and change direction so much.

@lancomechica - have a great trip! Hopefully all of the travel is snagless and the wifi signals are strong enough for FT connections at all breaks.

@flkong - your new name always throws me off. I thought someone typeod it the other day to tag you, then I realized it's not a typo, it IS different. But yeah, "my I don't have to run day" such a good comfy song.

@maryannespier - if your coffee tastes like nail polish remover: DON'T DRINK IT! Something is wrong! Get thee to the nearest DD and get something delicious.

@econmama - it's not always easy to get up and out that early, but I sure do love the ghostly quietness of the early morning world. Good luck with the new schedule and kudos to you for getting out there spinning!

@lizabethann06 - baby nightmares are so heartbreaking. Poor little Brynne. Hopefully she's forgotten all about whatever upset her earlier.

I am up at 5am and my baby is sleeping because I love my DD and promised to take her to breakfast on the first day of high school. Even though it is her dad's day and I have to drive to get her there, going past her school by 5 miles.

Thanks @Eaglewife and @Rondosa! I have wheel and tire protection. They couldn't call the warranty center until 8:30a this morning since they were in Colorado (and we are in Detroit). So I go back tomorrow morning to get it fixed.

I have a coffee in hand and am ready to tackle the day (hopefully!)

VP wad here and we were talking with another coworker. This coworker sadly had two miscarriages last year. One I didn't know about which is understandable. I had just had a baby and I can't blame her for not telling people anyway. Anyway, the VP knew and I don't know how we got on the topic but the coworker said that because she was in the hospital for it (ectopic) she missed a deadline and another guy gave her crap so she said she was apologizing and she didn't mean to tell him but it just came out and so he was like "whoa, take all the time you need." Well VP is like early thirties and single without children. She actually said that's nice to have in your back pocket. Makes the men back off. I wasn't going to let that fly. I of course was offering my condolences the whole time and when vp said that I was "whaaaaaa?!" So I said, "that's a terrible idea. No woman ever wants to have that in their 'back pocket'. It's an awful thing to go through." Thankfully we were then interupted at that point. I can't even imagine telling someone who had a loss that it was a good manipulation tool. Ugh. Obviously she had never had a loss. I hope she never does. You just don't say stuff like that.
