This is a painfully boring question about car seat installation.
We don't have a car, so we only use our seat when we rent one for a road trip. It's a convertible seat - I think Graco 65 something or other. Anyway, we do the tether anchor thing and rear-face. We tighten as much as possible. If I smack the back of the seat, it tips way up. That doesn't seem right - is it?
Yes. That's how they respond in a crash.
Also, check your manual, but our Graco MySize70 is not tethered in RF.
Ours has two sets of tethers - one for RF and one for FF. I watched a video called "Graco My Ride 65 Convertible Car Seat Installation Rear-Facing Using a LATCH" which was posted by "gracobaby" so I assume I'm doing it right. I hope so. Is yours seat belt only or how does it work? I had no idea it was supposed to tip up in a crash - it should say that somewhere.
Oohhhhh. I think you mean LATCH, not tethered. Tether is the strap at the top of the car seat.
LATCH is a replacement for sear belt installation.
We use LATCH instead of seatbelt.
Ohhh okay. I didn't know those were different things. I thought the T in LATCH was for tether, so I assumed those things were also called tethers.
You know what I miss? Using our EU approved car seat. So much easier.
..and now a question about boobs. We finished bf-ing a week or so ago and I think my milk is gone. Is it fine to get sized for new bras now or do any more changes happen?
I may be largely MIA today and have only just skimmed this, so sorry if I miss anybody - but right now Luke is napping. In his crib. I AM ALL THAT IS MOM ::insert Super Troopers syrup chugging gif here::

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
@picklex Well now you know!
Also, keep in mind you will use the tether in FF.
Also, once Pickle hits 45lbs or so, you'll need to switch to seat belt instead of LATCH.

@simone711 I have an 11 yr old step daughter - I've known for a while that Ariana Grande is a big deal
I'm bummed guys. I was gonna go intro on my new BMB and there was a thread on breastfeeding. And one of the regular posters posted something along the lines of yes it's hard but by 3 months "you'll feel sorry for women who have to make formula." And it left such a sour taste in my mouth, I don't think I can join a board w a regular like that.

Where is this ridiculous statement?
I just so happened to see that too because I was being a lurker. Put a bad taste in my mouth too. Ick..
@amparo1981 I know how you feel!!! We have a 2bd but LO and my stepdaughter are both in there and now we have another one coming so we NEED a bigger house. But then I look at our budget and I love it as is without a higher housing payment.... Grr.
It's only 8:11am here so really quick before I recap ~O) and >:D< For those who need them. Today is day 1 of this semester. DH is going to be doing all pick up and bed time from Monday- Thursday. I'm trying to think of something nice to do for him in return. Any ideas? (No BJs, I'm not that thoughtful)
We're going to the fair tonight. Can't wait to NOT make dinner I guess I'll have to feed H before we go, though. I mean, a funnel cake, greasy cheeseburgers and ice cream aren't very healthy choices for a 1 year old.
@lwrightenator Sorry about the insomnia. And the zombies. Zombies suck! And butterflies are a little scary, I think. Those long antenna (is that plural?) Hugs!
@lancomechica Safe travels!! I hope the days fly by!
@lizabethann06 Poor Brynne. Nightmares are the worst. At least you could console her. Poor poor baby and mama! Hugs!
@econmama I hope this new schedule works out. It sounds like a good plan for all of you!
Yesterday I woke up with the worst sore throat and congestion. I slept until 3pm yesterday. Thankfully, dh is home and stepped up. He took care of A and me. I thanked him for taking care of lo so I could rest, and he said it was good for him to do it once in a while. It reminds him how hard I work every day. It was nice to hear.
Huge massive hugs to @J134EVA. She's having a really difficult day and can use all of our love!
On page 4-- Re: loss @sparkymcgeee Good for you for saying something! A friend (R)just had a miscarriage about a week and a half ago. A "friend" of hers from her moms groups is pregnant and had found out the same time. Apparently while talking to R about her pregnancy and the upcoming appointment she said "I hope there is a heartbeat" I was in shock. Why would you say that to someone you knew just had a miscarriage.
@Silv3rlining Oh wow! How scary! Im glad your DH is okay!

I'm getting caught up with this thread while my dc kiddos are napping and I'm working on putting together the 20some puzzles they dumped out during free play. Ugh!
@cfreymc You're now closer to me than the Seattle bumpies I'm sure you totally feel like visiting Salem
I'd totally love to hang with you! Unfortunately sneaking away from the family for a day is not really an option.
Back off @Audrey1787, she's closer to PDX! . @cfreymc, I hope you have a wonderful time! Cannon Beach is fun, and the weather (here at least) is supposed to be gorgeous.
@EagleWife and @merc5411 thanks for all the support. You ladies rock (and certainly know how to use a notepad!)
@mermomo5 hugs to you. Watching that news story is sad enough but knowing the potential emotions...I'm so sorry. >:D< High five to your hubby for being retrained!!
I just had to jump start a guys car. Ha. He came in and asked another guy who was here with his dog. The guy was like "Oh its my moms car.....she doesnt have cables." The guy was like "Oh I have cables." The other guy didnt say anything..just ignored him. Wow what a nice guy. 8-| He was parked right next to the guys truck. All he would of had to do was pop his hood.

Lecture #2 was terrible. I went way too fast and am disappointed in my presentation of material to the class. I know it's this stupid virus LO gave me but I hate not performing well. :-q 1 more to go
I seriously need to quit slacking. I've been drinking too much, eating to much junk and not hitting the gym enough. I feel yucky. Tomorrow is going to be a good day and I'm going to the gym first thing every morning this week.
I felt like I needed to write that out in order to hold myself accountable!

How is this 6 pages long at lunch?
I'm going to need to get a J13 notepad!
Hugs and (more?) coffee for everyone who needs it!
Sent BF the financial planning spreadsheet I cobbled together last night that's supposed to lay out our spending path for the next two years.
Things are looking veeeerrrry nice. I guess if that's the tradeoff, I just might tolerate another two years in a 1BR.
...or not
I just so happened to see that too because I was being a lurker. Put a bad taste in my mouth too. Ick..
@WanderingA how exciting! <:-P
@sparkymcgeee I'm glad you said something to her. How lame
