Needing to vent: Some Not PAIF related...discouraged

I got through my NST last night ok and dropped off my 24 hr. urine test for the hospital lab to look at. (Had protein in urine 2 weeks in a row.)

They said I was having some contractions but I didn't feel them. They talked to my ob and sent me home with instructions to call my dr should I have any other issues.

On the way home.....here is where life is. My husband told me he waited since Wednesday to tell me as I had number of appts this week and wanted my blood pressure to be ok. He is losing his job and finishes up September 12th. If I don't deliver by 9/23 we go in that day to have the boys. He was supposed to stay at home come January and work from home so I could return to teaching. He would be the childcare for our boys and still be able to work. Looks like we are in limbo. I was so upset and cried the whole way home and most of last night. As if it weren't enough, I woke up crying.

My principal told me yesterday that interviews for the new long term sub will be this Friday the 29th. I am so hoping to continue to be able to work as I feel like I'm one day at a time. My sister is coming by this morning. She was the one who messed up NOT planning a shower for me. I haven't seen her in over 2 months. Just really emotional today and could use some kind prayers/thoughts.

I know God has a plan, it's just so upsetting to have this "perfect storm" of information.

That's a lot to take on at once. I am so sorry. I will pray that he can find another job between now and January that will allow you guys to still go forward with your original childcare plan. Maybe you should try to cut the visit with your sister short. I don't know what type of personality she has but it would not be helpful if she said something to further upset you. (((HUGS)))

Ugh, when it rains, it pours. I'm so sorry, mmhopeful! That sucks. Like a lot.

I'll keep fingers and toes crossed that he finds another job soon, hopefully with the same kind of flexibility. I know you'll figure it out, just take it a day at a time and tackle one issue before dealing with the next. It seems overwhelming right now, but it will all be okay in the end. You've been through a lot already and this is just one more bump in a long (overall happy) road. Hang in there!

Thanks everyone! I found some calm over the weekend. Taking things one day at a time. My sister's visit was better than expected. No drama. I also get to start work tomorrow, Monday, 8/25. So far, the babies are doing great and no news about my urine test. So, no news is good news.

As for a job, my husband is looking at the positive.....the gift of time to be home together to get to know our boys and then he can focus on a new position. Come January, as he is an accountant, there will be more opportunities for tax work and is hopeful for some "at home" work time by utilizing some contacts.

Thank you everyone for your support. Some days it's harder than others to keep it all straight.
