Canadians - Qu? about sperm analysis...

Hi there. After a chat with my family doctor he recommended that even though its early days (cycle 6) my DH should head off for SA.  My DH is curious about where this happens. Can you produce at home and bring to lab or do you go to a fertility centre (eg. Genesis clinic in Vancouver?). Any body had experience with this?  I'm not sure if the answer is different in the States hence the Canadian content.

    We're from the states, but I think medical guidelines are probably pretty similiar.  You can do it at home, but I would recommend going to lab/clinic/etc and giving it there, that way you won't have to worry about any sort of contamination.  DH just did this a couple of weeks ago and it really wasn't a big deal.  He went into the clinic, they gave him a cup and sent him to a room that had some "reading/viewing" material in it, he did his business and left.  It took about 7 working days for the results.
